The George Beachfront is a spacious upstairs apartment facing the ocean on Galiano Island. Private
and comfortable, and set on sunny 10 acres, this will be your home away from home. The George is situated in Bellhouse Bay at the entrance to Active Pass, a popular route for the Orca whales.

The George is situated on the waterfront with an easily accessible beach that is safe for children. Nearby is Bellhouse Park where the Bald Eagles are nesting. We are located at the south end of Galiano, which is the most populated, and it is about 1 mile to the closest store. (Pop. 1000)! Galiano Island must be reached by ferry or private boat.

We spent 5 nights in this ideally situated, comfortably furnished, and thoughtfully appointed suite. The owners were warm, but mostly invisible, allowing us the fantasy that this delightful place was ours alone. The sign on the local bookstore says, "eat, sleep, read" and this is what we did, with the addition of cycling local country roads, hiking Mount Galiano for outstanding views, and returning to our favorite hidden beach. We drank wine on the decks, babequed salmon, and awoke to the sounds of birds. My only hesitation in recommending The George is that this hidden gem may not be available when we want to return!
