The bungalow was a large and airy oasis for myself and son (9) and daughter (13) with a beautiful verandah and lawn just outside. The staff were helpful. Cooking classes in the villa were a highlight as was watching the monkeys in the trees whilst enjoying breakfast/brunch.

It is a charming old colonial Villa with spacious rooms with comfortable 4 poster beds.
One must try the delicious traditional and healthy Sri Lankan cuisine which is a delightful mouthwatering experience of its own! You could even customize your menu to match your own taste buds.
Set in a natural and peaceful environment away from the hustle and bussle of the city life, we were able to see nature at its best. Having said that, the Villa is only a few minutes away from the City by a cheap but reliable tuk tuk ride.
We also took the opportunity to try out the relaxing ayuruveda massage which was one of the best. This is a must to try out if you want to enjoy some calming and peaceful moments.
Since the Villa is situated near the historic Galle Fort, we were able to see many amazing things and places and even watch the beautiful sunsets while relaxing on the beach.

Wow!!!...step back in time to experience the old world charm of a beautiful "1860's Dutch Colonial Villa", with amazing rooms with period furnishings and comfortable beedrooms with 4 poster beds. Be and feel totally spoilt by Karin "The Wonderful Host of Templeberg Villa", enjoy the delicious Sri Lankan cuisine prepared by Trixie, and be well looked after by Sandew. Watch and see the morning ritual of the monkeys swinging through the coconut trees while sitting on the patio having a freshly brewed coffee. Make sure you book one of the most amazing massages you will ever receive in the relaxing massage room.

My husband and I had a beautiful stay at Templeberg, we loved our room and all the decor Karin and the owners have personally selected. We loved the location up in the hills on the vast and green planation. We spent most of our early evenings cooling off in the plunge pool and flicking through magazines in the hammock. The food was an absolute highlight and all of the local staff were awesome. Karin is a charming host and was helpful with great tips of the area. With such great value we'll be back for sure.

The service here was first class. All your travel needs were met from organising trips to meeting your health and relaxation requirements. They even organised for a Internationally Qualified ayurvedic Dr to visit who gave excellent advice and the best head and body massage I hae ever had. All the rooms were gorgeous and I felt like I was in a 5 star facility but with extremely affordable rates. Templeberg is in the middle of a beautiful lush coconut plantation where you are surrounded by nature with Monkeys swinging past but only ten mins from the lovely old Dutch Fort at Galle and the beautiful beaches. The Food was delicious and needs a chapter on it own. I cannot recommend it enough and the owner,Karin, is a treasure who makes sure you are well looked after and even pampered.
