I've been to Galveston Island many times for short day trips or following cruises. We chose to spend a week there for spring break this year and the trip exceeded our expectations. The location of the Pointe West resort is it's biggest asset. Located at the very end of the island, the scenery is breathtaking. Gulf views and bay views are all around you. There is no traffic, no noise. The condo units are very attractive and our unit had every possible amenity. The owner, Donna, was super accommodating-even upgraded us at the last minute to a unit closer to the beach when our scheduled building had an elevator issue. She was always available to answer my calls, questions, etc. We were right next to the beach club with pool, hot tub, etc. The dune walkover to the beach was steps away from our building. The beach view from our balcony was spectacular. The unit itself was very nicely decorated, fully stocked, clean and comfortable. We loved it so much we extended our stay for an additional day. Just know this property is 18 miles from the main strip of Galveston, but for our family was absolutely worth the drive. If you desire a beautiful beach location where you can relax with your children of all ages and enjoy a clean, nice accommodation, you cannot go wrong with Pointe West, specifically if renting from Donna. Cannot recommend highly enough!
