Rusk, TexasVery nice, fully equipped, and nicely decorated beach house with
Left on 04/28/2013 for a stay in April 2013
This is a second row home, with a house located directly in front of it between you and the beach. However, you have a wonderful view of the ocean in several directions, including from the really nice sunroom just off the master bedroom, and the very nice deck with lots of chairs and picnic table. And, it is only steps from the beach.
Ultra-comfy beds and bedding, furniture, etc. Lots of bath and kitchen towels, kitchen tools, etc.
Had a problem with heating/AC unit and owner quickly took care of it with a nice follow-up call to us afterwards to be sure everything was ok. :)
Tips: be sure to try Nate's ( ate there twice and went by once for drinks); also Waterman's ( ate there twice also) for nice dining and sunsets.
A great five-nights stay in a nice beach home. Would definitely return!

Amarillo, TexasWonderful

We came with another couple to celebrate our wedding anniversaries. This house was so much more then what we expected. We so enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the day float away. The water was still warm for swimming. The views of the sunrise were spectacular. It was so nice to be away from all the bustle. After driving down to sight see by the seawall we were doubley glad we chose to stay at the other end of the island.
Thanks to Kathy and Doug for all their help. Thanks to Tom for giving us the info for where the locals go! Already planning another trip to come back.

Magnolia, TexasVery nice 2nd. row house at an affordable price
Left on 10/05/2012 for a stay in September 2012
This large, comfortable and clean house has it all. We had a wonderful time. We specially enjoyed the sunroom off the master bedroom. Although it was a second row house, beach views were plentiful and water was only a few yards away.
Owners were a pleasure to work with. Kathy had the repair man at the house less than 24 hours after we mentioned the living room fan was not working.
We would definitely stay there again. -

Our first morning I woke up and layed on the couch in the sun room and watched the ocean only to see 2 dolphins swim buy what a incredible experience. The rest of the vacation was much of the same Great experiencees like crab fishing, swimming in the ocean relaxing in the sun room and just enjoying our family. Thank you for sharing your home so others can enjoy. The home was very comfortable for our family of 5.

Sacramento, CA.A Mother's Day Gift to Remember
Left on 05/19/2012 for a stay in May 2012
I treated my mother to three nights at the Oasis and boy am I glad I did. The owners were extremely helpful, friendly, and quick to respond to e-mails and phone calls. The home itself is nicely appointed, very spacious, and extremely close to the beach. The sun room attached to the master suite was a very comfortable place to relax at sunrise and sunset. I enjoyed jogging along the beach, which extends for many miles in either direction from the beach-house. The home was very clean upon arrival and has a full kitchen where my mother and I were able to prepare meals. All in all, a wonderful and relaxing home that I look forward to spending more time in again in the future. Thank you, Kathy and Doug, for sharing your home with us.

Stafford, TXSo relaxing
Left on 05/08/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Me my boyfriend and two other couples joined us on this mini vacation from May 4-6. We are from Stafford/Sugarland TX so the beachhouse was only about 1hr and twenty minutes away. This is a place you definitely want to stay if you do not want to be with all the crowd and hype on the seawall. The view from this house was so spectacular and relaxing; and the inside was very cozy and decorated very well and up to date. The beach is very clean and their were many other families out there enjoying the beach as well. We went to the Sea Isle and bought are bait and fished at the pier there as well. Attached to that was a restaurant and a small bar, which we enjoyed. We barbecued everyday and all the utensils and bowls you needed were all there. This was the perfect getaway close to home. Would love to come back again!!!

Menasha, WIMarch Trip 2012
Left on 03/26/2012 for a stay in March 2012
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Oasis. We loved the quiet area and the sounds of the water each morning and evening. Although the weather was a little crummy due to some rain, it was an amazing sight to watch the lighting over the ocean and if listened closly you could hear the thunder in the distance. My daughter and friend were so suprised to find out that we were staying on the beach! The service was good. We had no emergancies, but when E-mailing before our trip, Kathy was the best. Our refund was prompt. I would have to say that we liked everything about the stay at the Oasis, and the only negitive would be that the house "swayed" when the kids would run from the door to the bedroom/bathroom or someone walked around the house. I do believe it was normal for the house to do this, but it was unexpected. After a few days, I hardly noticed it. The house is a little far from downtown Galveston, but it is a nice peaceful drive, and only took about 15-20 minutes.

This beach house is everything you look for. Perfect location for swimming and relaxing in clean beautiful Beach. I loved the outside shower for rinsing yourself off after swimming. The Balcony is the highlight of this house.
The service is great, you can find everything you need for cooking and entertainment.
The Central air conditioner needs service, so does the toilet in the living room.

Owner
Thank you for your review. We had the central air conditioner repaired as soon as we were notified that there was a problem, in fact, on the same day. Our handyman repaired the toilet in the hall bathroom the same day that it was reported.
