"High Spirits" is a stunning 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath, custom-built beach house on Galveston Island's West end. It has all the style of the East Coast but the charm and tranquility of the Gulf Coast. It's a short 10 minute drive to all of Galveston's popular attractions. This large 2300 sq. ft. home sleeps 14 people. LOCATION:
Located on Galveston's West End near Jamaica Beach (FM 3005 and Buccaneer Dr. light). House is 3 streets, 250 yards from the beach. Street in front of house is a direct path to the beach. See photos.
RULES:
In order to maintain a tranquil, family atomosphere, we only rent to individuals 26 yrs of age & older. Renter(s) must provide identification. The rental is for a specific number of people. Maximum number of occupants: 14. No parties, extra visitors, events, or pets allowed (owners are allergic). Check-in is 5:00 p.m. Standard check out is Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
Also, please be aware that this property is not suitable for children 3 and under because it is not baby-proofed and it is a 3-story house (2 sets of staircases).

Our family and extended family has stayed at this home twice now. We love it! You could not ask for a more beautiful comfortable beach house. Short walk to the beach. 2 Heated showers downstairs that make it easy to clean sand of the kids. Porches off every side of the home to sit outside and enjoy the views and company. It has all we need for a great family get a way. Hope to come back soon!

We stayed in High Spirits with two families and the layout was perfect. The location is close to the beach so walking was no problem. The house was immaculate and the kitchen well appointed for those of you that like to cook. Sunsets from the porch are wonderful! Grab your glass of wine and relax!!!

This was our first time to stay here, but it definitely won't be the last. James and Nancy were incredibly efficient and professional in handling all of the details for the entire rental process. They made us feel very welcome as guests, and they were immediately available for any questions we had throughout our stay.
The house is absolutely gorgeous, and it has been furnished with every detail in mind to make it a comfortable stay. The 2 living rooms were incredibly nice, because it allowed our family to spread out and relax. The kitchen is fully equipped, and we had everything we needed to prepare all of our meals. Everything was spotless as well.
The neighborhood is very quiet, and there are some winding roads that provided nice, quiet walks in the direction of the bay behind the house. It is an easy walk to the beach, and we were pleasantly surprised by this section of the beach! It was very clean, and there aren't many people in this area. We found it the ideal spot for our family- especially for children.
Overall, our experience was amazing. We honestly do not have any complaints! -

Once again we enjoyed the beautiful and spacious High Spirits in Galveston for our family vacation. The house has everything- spacious kitchen, two living areas and bedroons to accomodate all eleven of us. ( including five kids under the age of seven) Nancy and James provided all the things needed to make our stay comfortable and fun.

The house was perfect for our family. The layout allowed adult time while cooking meals and relaxing while at the same time, the kids could play in the other living area without being isolated. The home was immaculate and clean. Our allergy-prone kids had no problems at all while in Galveston.
This was our first family vacation with our three young children and it was absolutely perfect. We could not have felt more at home We will definitely be coming back again. -

It is rare that you find a gem like High Spirits. The home was masterfully crafted to create a space that feels both sophisticated and relaxing. We had a family gathering to celebrate a birthday and could not have picked a better place. Nancy and her husband think of everything! The three bedrooms upstairs were perfect for each family and the master bedroom was an oasis for our parents. The family areas (2 of them) let the adults gather in one space and the kids play together in the other. The beach access is private so we enjoyed days at the beach together. Truly a vacation that we will never forget! And, we can't wait to come back and make more memories at High Spirits. Absolutely the place for us!

Spacious, beautiful house. A perfect place for a stress-free getaway. The house is immaculately clean, well furnished, and complete with all the amenities for everyone to enjoy. We loved the fact the master bedroom was on the main level and it had two huge living rooms. We also loved the 2 outdoors showers with hot water. The beach was a short walk away and it is close to all of Galveston's attractions. Will definitely return soon.
