Our stay at the Sunset Serenity condo was fantastic. The service leading up to our stay was excellent with all my questions being answered quickly and completely. When we arrived the unit was in beautiful condition and very nicely decorated. The furnishings were nice and homey and gave a relaxing feel to our weekend. Not so high end we were afraid to sit on them and not so tacky you didn't want to sit on them. :) We discovered immediately when checking through the unit that the linens for the hide-a-bed were missing. A quick call to Lyndsey had us the linens in no time at all. A big thank you to the woman who drove out from Galveston to bring them to us without any complaint!
The location was peaceful and pleasant. If you are looking for quiet it is the place for you. If you are looking for activities in Galveston be aware that it is a 20 - 30 minute drive to get to town. The sunsets were beautiful! A perfect view from the balcony. We didn't use the pool or any amenities as we had a weekend full of activities already planned but we would have if we had had extra time. We enjoyed walking and jogging on the trail/walk over to the beach and found that it was easily accessible by foot. If we were taking a large amount of things with us we would have driven over but since we just wanted to walk on the beach going over by foot was just fine.
The unit itself, it's cleanliness and pleasant atmosphere were our favorite things... oh, and the wi-fi was really nice to have! The least favorite of course was the mosquitoes. But then on Galveston Island you have mosquitoes everywhere so that can't be blamed on the unit.
Our group of five women and one baby would highly recommend Sunset Serenity for a stay. We were not disappointed!Response from Pointe West Properties - 07/16/2012

Wonderful amenities, Great view, excellent utensils, found a blood stain on two comforters but management took care of that promptly

Ha ha! I was the only one in our office that got your joke in the title of your review. Thank you for your feedback, Thomas. Regarding the stained linens, we appreciate you letting us know. We always discard of any stained linens or towels we discover...this is a huge pet peeve for me, so it must have been missed. I apologize. We hope to have the opportunity to have you back at Sunset Serenity!
