      a great place to stay

Left on 07/21/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Freddy really put a lot of effort into his two houses - and our stay. We enjoyed 3 nights and can only recommend this place for it's high level and great breakfast (try the potatoes !!). Only 20 walking minutes from the Salthill bars, a short drive into downtown, and fast onto the routes to Connemara. His tips for dinner were spot on, as all driving directions. Thank you for a really pleasing stay at your houses !!!

      Wonderful B

Left on 06/24/2012 for a stay in June 2012

First time we've ever stayed in a B&B; and it was an amazing thing to do. Freddy, the owner, was so receptive and informative helping us get settled and navigate around the area. He even helped us with an issue we were having with our rental car. That meant a lot. The lodge was fabulous. Rooms very nice, linens and towels very soft; bed fantastic after a hard days travel. The morning breakfast was outstanding. We can't say enough great things about the Sea Breeze Lodge. Great accommodations and location. You can walk into Galway but you'd probably be better taking some transportation only because of usual Irish on again/off again weather. Otherwise not a bad walk. We hope to visit again. Galway an wonderful city to visit. Wish we had more time to explore. Thanks Freddy for everything.

      Excellent B&B in Galway.

Left on 02/11/2010 for a stay in September 2009

After reading many reviews of this adorable B&B, my husband and I booked a room. At $165/night with the dollar sinking daily against the Euro, it was a big decision, but our theory is that the first 1-2 nights of your trip and more importantly the LAST 2-3 nights of a long trip should be in a beautiful place that will leave you with great memories. Freddy greets you like you are friends, cook breakfast for you personally in his beautiful sun room...and it's not a B&B experience where you have to entertain the eccentric B&B owner. He is cool, young, lives in the building and knows how to leave you your personal space. Beautiful room overlooking the water. We would recommend this place to anyone....just a short walk from Salthill where you can find all kind of restaurants and pubs. and 20 minute walk to city center....we NEVER used a cab or bus and were not tired as the walk was out of this world. We even saw the sun go down on Galway Bay! Quiet street in a beautiful neighborhood so great for sleeping. After 14 days in Europe, from Paris to French Riveria to Koln German to Amsterdam, this was one of our best stops! Book this place, the rooms go fast!
