      Amazing

Left on 08/05/2012 for a stay in July 2012

House lived up to its name - Paradise. We went on holiday there with our grown up children and their families (including our 3 small grandchildren) and we had a fantastic relaxing holiday. The house has everything you would need and more, 10 adults, 3 infants and we all had space to chill out and relax if we wanted. The pool table was a big hit with the boys, and fishing off the pier was fun too. The garden was amazing, we even had a bbq when the sun shone. We have rented various houses in Ireland over the last 15 years and this was by far the best.
Peter, a big thankyou to you and your family for making this a memorable stay for us all.
      We will return!

      Above and beyond our expectations

Left on 05/16/2011 for a stay in May 2011

Peter and his team are exceptional. I book my hen weekend with Peter back in Feb. From that point and all through our stay we were treated like royalty. Adam the chef who cooked for us on the Friday night was charming and the food was lovely. The next day we used the fab grounds for a sports day (just for laughs) then we had a bbq, the bbq was brand new and the bbq area perfect with its view of the Shannon. Then Fiona & Aoife arrived to beautify us all and get us ready for our night on the tiles. The girls were professional and yet great crack, they couldn't do enough to help us. Michael Boylan taxi was at our beckon call all weekend and brought us to where ever we wanted to go.
The house is stunning... It blew us away, it was immaculate, and left us wondering if we owned a house like this would we rent it. ... I cannot thank Peter and his team enough for everything they done for us this weekend, everyone in our part thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we are hoping to make it an annual event. Thanks again... Shirley and all the girls from Jackie’s hen

A brill weekend in a beautifull place

Left on 12/14/2010 for a stay in November 2010

My self and my husband rented this beautiful house to celabrate my daughers 21st. birthday, so our group was made up of 10, 20yr/21yr olds with myself and hubby (plus 2 dogs) we had a ball, Kitchen/Dinning room was perfect we took full advantage of it & had a funky murder mistery dinner one of the evenings, As all the gang were xfactor fans the down stairs sitting room was spot on for watching, The pool table was a big hit with all, both male & female. My self and hubby happly retreated upstairs to the small sitting room to a lovely fire and a bottle of wine both evenings leaving the gang to them selfs, We weren't sure how this idea to celabrate a 21st. would go, But it was a big hit with all our group.

Left on 11/11/2010 for a stay in August 2010

Riverside Paradise far exceeded all our expectations and was well suited to our diverse extended family group...not one complaint, not one row! The kids loved fishing from the jetty, some dads swam from the jetty or canoed along the Shannon. Evening brought tournaments at the pool table in the sitting room or films by the log fire.Trips to Lough Boora, the Rifle Range, the Pitch and Putt Course, shopping in athlone and visits to
the local pubs some evenings, kept everyone occupied.
It was also very pleasant to sit out on the balcony in the evening looking out over the wonderful floral display in the garden down to the river with the occasional passing boat or flock of swans and the backdrop of the rural landscape.
      Paradise indeed!

Three generations of our family came together at Riverside Paradise for a very enjoyable week. There is enough space for both peace and quiet and for lively children! The Kitchen is a great gathering place for meals, comfortable and well equiped. The views over the river Shannon are magical. We all hope to be back.

      Riverside Paradise

Left on 07/16/2010 for a stay in June 2010

After a little googleing we came across www.riversideparadise.com a holiday home just outside Banagher in Co Galway. So we packed up the cars and off we drove, just a few hours driving and we were there.
We were met by Peter Downey, the owner of the property, who gave us a tour of the house. With six bedrooms – four doubles, two twins – and six bathrooms – four en suite – a big kitchen, two living rooms with open fires, kids playroom, games room, upper terrace overlooking a huge patio/BBQ/enclosed garden area we thought we had got the wrong place. We settled in and relaxed on the patio and enjoyed a BBQ and kicked a football around the garden which was about half the size of a football pitch anyway. The next day we spent fishing off the jetty at the bottom of the garden which sits on the River Shannon and there were plenty of bites, we even saw an otter. Over the next few days we visited Birr Castle Demesne and its beautiful award winning gardens.Close by is Ireland’s Historic Science Centre which reveals the wonders of early photography, engineering and astronomy.
Next it was on to the famous Great Telescope which was, erm, great. On Thursday night we headed out into Banagher town for a meal and a few pints. We started in Flynn’s on the main street, it was a great place with friendly staff and the meal was fit for a lord. With the pints at €4 it would have been rude not to indulge in at least more than one. After dinner we headed over to JJ Hough’s and when we went in it was like being in a different world. With paintings all over the walls and seats made out of beer barrels with a cushion on top we were a bit taken aback, but there was a great atmosphere in the place. After about half an hour a traditional Irish band began to play, then next thing the owner of the bar got up and started belting out a few tunes, all-in-all a brilliant night’s craic. Looking back it was a great week in a superb house, in a great location. I will be back.

5 Star Stay in a Relaxing & Excellent Location

Left on 07/14/2010 for a stay in April 2010

We arrange a stay here for a group of friend to meet as it was a central location for us all. We found a fabulous house that soon became our home for the few days. It had everything you would expect and more! The local town of Banagher has some lovely pubs for nighttime and there is plenty of historical sites to keep you busy during the day. And if you have your own boat this is certainly the perfect place as you have a jetty on the Shannon at the house! All in all we had a great time here, no complaints on the house at all it was more than adequately equipped to suits the needs of everyone, perfect for a group of friends, family holiday or reunion!

Quaint Irish pubs locally with good home-made food, drink, music and most of all real Irish hospitality - the owners even drove us home to our Riverside Paradise at the end of the night.
