Walk over the dunes and sit in the spacious seating area near the ocean and hear the waves caressing the beach. Three picnic tables by the pool for lunches and game time. Enjoy the relaxing breeze that is forever blowing across the porch as you nap in one of the rockers or the porch swing. There are four porches to see the glorious views of sunrises on the ocean and spectacular colors of sunsets on the marsh. Our beach home, Footprints in the Sand, is located in a very quiet and peaceful area of the beach among other beach homes in Garden City, SC. The house is located directly on the beach and is within walking distance of the Gulf Stream Cafe restaurant and Marlin Quay Marina. Grocery stores and Walmart are about a 5 minute drive and there are many restaurants to choose from in nearby Murrells Inlet. Factory Outlet stores are a short drive away and also the more upscale shops and restaurants at Market Commons. Many activities are available such as parasailing, windsurfing, deep sea fishing, and much more for the active guests. For the folks like me wanting to relax, there is a quiet ocean breeze and and sea shell finding excursions and walks on the beach with our grandchildren. Our beach home has parking both under the house as well as a large driveway. For those guests flying into the area, Myrtle Beach Airport is conveniently located about 10 miles away. If you want to get away from it all but be close enough to visit the activities of Myrtle Beach, this is the place to choose for your vacation!

Minimum age 25 for renters. No pets allowed. If a pet is discovered, there will be a special $500 cleaning fee assessment added to the rental rates, and the pet must be boarded immediately or may result in rental cancellation. Departure maid service included in full weekly rentals at regular rates. Rentals are Saturday to Saturday. Call for special requests. Non-smoking.

  We stayed at Footprints in the Sand for a week in May 2012. The house was fantastic!! We arrived to our vacation and everything was even better than we could imagine--the house was meticulously cleaned, a fully stocked kitchen with extras, and new flat screen TVs in all of the rooms. Our family enjoyed the swimming pool. kiddie pool, and the dolphin fountain at the pool but especially the hot tub--so relaxing! We used the outdoor kitchen and bar to prepare lunches and gathered on the picnic tables by the pool to eat with our family. The weather was sunny and warm which made for great naps in the rockers on the oceanfront porches. We sat on the benches on the dunes walkover and enjoyed watching the beautiful sunsets across the inlet. The beach is great for walking for miles and miles and plenty of sand for the kids to build sand castles. We had so much room in this wonderful beach home to gather with our family but we were also able to find some quiet time on one of the four porches if we needed to get away. The guys got together for a game of pool in the upstairs game room and also card games at the game table. The owners, Bob and Janet, are so easy to work with and helped us plan our family vacation with great ease. If we had any questions, they were quick to respond and always happy to accommodate our needs. They made us feel like family! I would definitely choose this vacation home again!!
