Elie anne Cottage is a comfortable, well appointed cottage with the beach literally a stones throw from the front door. We were there during a cold October week and it was really cosy.
This part of Gardenstown (called "Seatown")is such a lovely spot. There is a tidal beach accessible by steps just yards from the front door and this links to a bigger beach accessible at all tides a few hundred yards further along. There is a lovely little pub with real ale and free wifi just a few minutes around the corner and great walks all around.
This part of the aberdeenshire coast is a hidden gem with lots of great days out. We'll definitely be back.
The drive along the sea front to the car park at the end is a white knuckle ride for the uninitiated, especially at high tide with the waves splashing up!
Fantastic seaside cottage

Great little cottage, very private considering all the cottages are on top of one another, dont even try to park near it, just park at harbour saves on a lot of stress and only a two minute walk. It was spotlessly clean, everything you could want in kitchen and lots of towels for bathroom only slight moan that the shower was either burning or freezing, very hard to work and you cant stand under it you have to sit in the half bath with shower above you.
Lovely, quiet place

We enjoyed our stay at Ellie ann cottage.
The setting was lovely, right next to the beach.
Cottage was nice and clean when we arrived.
Heating system was fine.
We had a bit of bother with the hot water, however it was fixed at the beginning of the week.
Kitchen was fine, not much room in the shower which is over the bath.
No mobile phone signal until you get up to the top of the hill.
Lovely walks around the area, we drove over to Cullen and other holiday villages nearby, again lovely walks.
You need a car as it is fairly steep down to the beach front.
The leaflets in the cottage about local amenties etc were out of date.
2 shops in the village, went up to the hotel for a meal, wasnt very good.
Teas on the pier provided by the Fishermans Mission were lovely.
Parking was OK, roads very narrow.
chester le street
lovely spot fully reccommend
