This rustic yet modern lodge located in the historic mining town of Jardine, Montana, is just five miles from the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park. We are surrounded by the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness and Forest Service land - a perfect spot to base out of for the endless activities offered here. Cross country skiing, horseback riding, rafting down the Yellowstone River, hiking, fly fishing world-renowned streams, and jaunts into Yellowstone - just to name a few are all just a few minutes away.

The Bear Lair Lodge features 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathsroom in a roomy 2,000 square feet of space. The lodge sleeps 9 comfortably and... offers amenities such as pillowtop beds, oversized casual furniture that calls you to fall on and relax, travertine fireplace with woodstove, stereo with ipod docking station and wireless internet.

You can relax in a hammock amid the Aspen and Spruce trees and listen to Bear Creek while cooking dinner on the new gas grill. We are in a secluded setting allowing you to soak in the mountain view, ski or hike out the front door, and truly enjoy a Montana vacation. The town of Gardiner is a short drive away allowing to shop and eat out if you choose. We are happy to help you plan your vacation as it can be overwhelming with so many adventures to enjoy.

A full kitchen has everything you need to crank out a gourmet meal or a frozen pizza. Hammock and gas grill are just off the porch. And, of course, a washer and dryer are located inside for those days you bring the wilderness back on you.

Additional Location Information

Our cabins are located in an ideal location for Yellowstone touring, sightseeing and wildlife watching. Natural hot springs, horseback riding, fly fishing, wolf watching, rafting, hiking, even museums and gourmet dining are less than 30 minutes away. During the winter months, you can snowshoe or cross country ski from the cabin, take a snow coach or snowmobile tour into Yellowstone or head out on a truly unique dog sledding adventure.

Our vacation packages include loads of local insight and information on everything from restaurants, hikes, scenic drives, and unique destinations to maps, brochures and guidebooks.   Great Location and Beautiful Home

  I stayed here with my parents and 2 kids. What a lovely home with everything we needed for all age groups. It was so nice to tour Yellowstone, raft, horseback ride,fly fish and then have this beautiful, comfortable home to come back to. The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were comfy, the yard was perfect for the kids to run around, and the attention to detail in the woodwork was something you have to experience yourself. You really feel like you are in a "western lodge" and it's all yours. We booked a package deal - one stop shopping with these folks. Everyone was happy. The owners been in the area so long they know how to schedule the long days in the park with days outside the park enjoying what Montana has to offer.
