This single storey, semi detached cottage is in the pretty village of Gargrave in the Yorkshire Dales and sleeps upto four people and has one bedroom. The Arbour is a semi detached cottage in the popular village of Gargrave, close to Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales. This cottage sleeps upto four people and has one super king size double bedroom and an ensuite shower room. The cottage also has an open plan living area with a fitted kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a sofa bed. To the outside of this cottage there is ample off road parking, patio area and a small garden area with furniture. The Arbour is an ideal holiday home, clos...e to many places of interest.

All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Ample off road parking. Patio area and small garden area with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub within 1 min walk. Note: Entrance hall shared with Ref. 5659, each cottage has its own secure lockable door. Note: The sofa bed is suitable for 1 adult or 2 children.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  I booked this cottage at the last minute and Sykes was able to offer me this and another place nearby. I chose Gargrave because it is close to all the locations I wanted to be near in Yorkshire, because it looked exceptionally clean and because it had free wifi. We were not disappointed and have loved being in this charming, romantic cottage in the middle of Gargrave, a very upmarket little village near Skipton. The building is a bungalow type and I would have preferred an old stone cottage. That said it was still nice except that our entrance was made of cement. The building actually houses two cottages with a common entrance which we never used as both had French window entrances too. The owners who live in a big house in the same venue were charming and very helpful. The French window entrance of the cottage leads onto a big dining room with an open kitchen. They lead on to a medium sized lounge, one big bedroom with a very comfortable big bed and a small bathroom. It says it sleeps 4 but 2 couples couldn't sleep here. It is ideal for 2. The arbour is amazingly well equipped. When we arrived there were all sorts of provisions (tea, coffee, biscuits, cherry tomatoes, strawberries, cocoa, oil and a lot of etceteras) which may have been left by the previous owners but not all of it such as the jam. We didn't have to buy any of the kitchen or bathroom basics, washing powder, etc as literally everything was provided. Everything was of the highest quality and seemed brand new. The cottage has its own sitting area in the garden which is beautiful and we were able to explore and use the whole of the lovingly tendered garden. The wifi never worked but everything else was perfect. All in all, this place was wonderful and not at all expensive. Gargrave was a surprising little village/town and the best thing here are the walks on the canal and the village greens with their charming stepping stones. We were not impressed with the nearby Old Swan pub which wouldn't serve food after 8.40 pm but were very impressed with the local Indian place called The Bollywood Cottage. The location of the cottage is right on the high street next to the co-op supermarket which is very convenient but not very well stocked. We would come again, loved the village and our cottage and would highly recommend this choice to any couple looking for a great location and a place to get away from it all. The only disappointment was the lack of internet which I solved by using my own modem. Otherwise, 10 out of 10
