Our houses are in ideal starting point for hikers or mountain bikers looking to go on tour around the Karwendel- and Wetterstein mountains.
How to Get to Garmisch:
* BAB A95 Munich-Garmisch until the end of the autobahn, then B2 towards Oberau
* into the Farchand tunnel and right onto B23 towards Grainau/Fernpass
* on the Burgstrasse to Garmisch, right before the bridge over the Loisach
* right onto Loisachstrasse following the river at the large intersection with traffic lights
* and right again at the next bridge, onto Maximilianstrasse.
* Continue to the sports ground (main entrance), where you should turn right again on to Almhüttenweg. It’s the first house on the right

Don’t miss the spectacular view from the Zugspitze: at 2,962 meters, it’s Germany’s tallest mountain. The town is served by the A95 Autobahn (motorway), and has railway connections to Munich, Innsbruck, Reutte, and the Zugspitze itself. The views of the majestic peak from the town are especially spectacular, and several accessible hiking trails cover both the lower and higher elevations.
