This cabin is located just a short 10 minute and convenient drive from Elk Springs Resort. Enjoy relaxing on your private deck with sounds of the creek below and unrestricted views of Mt. LeConte. Whispering Creek features a large, but cozy living area with gas fireplace, pool table, cable TV, and a pool table. The master suite features a jacuzzi tub, private bath and deck off the master with hot tub overlooking views of the mountains.

Outdoor firepit stocked with firewood and picnic area just a 1 minute walk from this cabin!

  The location was a bit far from attractions and cabin close to others. However it was very quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed the hot tub and multiple fireplaces. The furniture was basic but adequate. I would definately go back.

  The Whispering Creek cabin was absolutely wonderful!!! It was clean, well stocked, well organized, and had a terrific view. The king size bed was so comfy and soft and we really enjoyed having the pool table and surround sound system. The jetted tub was wonderful and the jacuzzi on the deck off the master bedroom was just awesome! It was great having a separate living space upstairs, and although we did not use the Murphy bed, it was a very convenient touch. This cabin was extremely cozy, yet had all the modern touches. Will definitely return!!!

  Our stay at Whispering creek was wonderful. The cabin was well maintained & clean. The hot tub was fabulous & so was the view. The only down side was that there were no instructions on how to light the grill & my husband was very disappointed that we weren't able to barbecue.   Whispering Creek was beautiful, comfortable and clean. The views f rom the hot tub on the deck were gorgeous. The cabin is about 15 minutes fomthe center of Gatlinburg. It was far enough away to avoid the crowds but a very eaay trip into town. We had a very relaxing get away. Just be carful on that spiral staircase if you've been drinking! ;)

  We decided to run off to the mountains right after Christmas, so I chose this cozy little cabin. It was nicely decorated and appointed with excellent electronics and furniture. We spent our out of cabin time hiking in the park, and was great to come home to this little jewel.
  If I were to do it again, I'd opt to arrive without driving through Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, all that commercial noise is a buzz kill.

  The experience was enjoyable. My family and I had the opportunity to rest and relax. We really needed that. We have decided that this will be a yearly family retreat. Even my 15 year old loved it. She actually vacationed without her phone being stuck to her ear (lol). I am very picky about where I stay and was concerned about the asthetics and cleanliness of the cabin prior to my arrival. However, once we arrived, we found that it was asthetically pleasing, extremely clean with a great view. We enjoyed ourselves.

  We had a beautiful weather week and the color of the mountains were gorgeous. We were very surprised to find our cabin infested with ladybugs. I'm uncertain if this was related to location or the season. It was difficult to enjoy any cabin amentities because of this nuisance. It is a 15 minute trip into town. It is a convenient location to the Greenbriar park entrance and to the Roaring Fork.

  I don't even know where to begin with this review. We traveled from Ontario to Tennessee for our 10th wedding anniversary. We heard nothing but positive feedback from friends who stayed at Elk Springs. So we choose the Whispering Creek cabin, what an amazing cabin. Super clean, had everything we wanted and more views are breathtaking. I can't say enough positive things about it, you really need to experience for yourself. Staff was very friendly. We are already planning on going back in Aug/2013 with the kids this time. We will be staying with Elk Springs but will try a bigger cabin with the kids(not that I wouldn't love to go back to Whispering creek). Highlight of the trip was the large bear print on out back window prior to leaving on the last day, no damage was cause but we loved it!

  The cabin was awesome! The view from the deck was spectacular.
  The kitchen had everything a person could possibly need. Location was good as it is minutes away from Gatlinburg. The drawback was that you could hear traffic from the highway and also dogs barking from
  somewhere nearby. This interfered with the peace one would expect
  from this type of vacation.

  Had a very nice stay. Only change I would like a toilet paper holder in the downstairs bath.Maybe that bathroom could have been just a little larger. Everything else was first class.   My overall experience was 5 star. The cabin is beautiful and clean. Jeremy came right down when we had a problem with the DVD player. So very minor problem. The reason I gave a 3 star to property management is because when I got to the cabin at check in time of 3:00 they had yet called me with the entrance code. When I called them I got an answering machine. I call Jeremy and he called me back within 1 minute with the code. The propert management called me back 30 minutes later. But like I said overall it's a wonderful experience!

  We spent 2 nights in Whispering Creek cabin and had a relaxing, enjoyable time. The cabin was clean with many upgrades making it a beautiful place to stay. The hot tub, pool table, porch swing, and satellite tv were some of our favorites. The location was easy to find and just the right distance from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We enjoyed being somewhat secluded but able to reach those places quickly. The furniture was very comfortable and the area was quiet. The neighboring cabins are pretty close but the layout of each provided seclusion and we never even knew the neighboring cabins were there. I highly recommend staying here and look forward to visiting again soon!

I think our only disappointment was it was 10 miles from Downtown Gatlinburg, and having other cabins so close to one another.   The location was very nice just would be nicer if the cabins weren't so close together. Also the parking spot was tight for a truck and would be nice if they weren't so steep. If we had ridden the motorcycle down we wouldn't have been able to use the parking area. The cabin was beautiful inside and out very nice woodworking throughout. The view of the smokies was beautiful especially when the frost was on the trees. Had a great time and would definitely recommend to a friend.

  Enjoyed stay. Only downside was that the master bedroom was downstairs down a narrow circular staircase which we did not know before arrival. My wife has some problems with bad back and mobility and had to sleep upstairs on a Murphy Bed. Cabin was nice and well equipped otherwise.

  My husband and I originally stayed at Picture Perfect in 2009. We returned this year to Whispering Creek. Both cabins were perfect- private with beautiful views. The owners are incredibly professional and helpful. Additionally, they have thought of virtually everything when choosing the cabin's amenities. If one chose to, they could be perfectly happy staying inside of the cabin for the entire vacation. After driving around, and viewing other vacation rentals, we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else.
  We will be returning again and again.

  The highlight on our trip to Tennessee was certainly the Great Smoky Mountains. Do I dare say a close second was the cabin we stayed at for seven days just nearby? Whispering Creek cabin was certainly one of the best 1 bedroom hotel/cabin.  Why did I say “hotel” in my description? Because this “cabin” left no stone unturned when it came to luxury.
  Upon entry, the cabin checked out clean and had everything we needed.  The deck included a Weber grill that allowed us to prepare great meals every night. We usually look forward to going out to eat, especially dinner, when on vacation. But this time we wanted to Dine in every single night on the patio with the Smoky Mountains as a backdrop view.
  The owners were always accessible for any problems we had. An issue with the TV was quickly rectified within minutes with a phone call.
  This place comes highly recommended. You get the great outdoors with a heavy helping of luxury. In fact, there have been discussions about returning next year. The Smoky Mountains provide ample opportunity for a return trip, and this cabin would be the icing on the cake.

  Exceeded our expectations. Cabin was beautiful and all the extras such as wifi, hot tub, satelite TV, pool table, and full kitchen were great. Couple of kitchen utensils were unusable because they were broken, but we were able to work around. Location was beautiful with great view of the mountains and only 10 mins for downtown Gatlinburg and about 35 mins from Pigeon Forge. We'll be back!

  This was my first trip to Gatlinburg and my first stay in a cabin so I didn't know what to expect. This place exceeded my expectations! We had so much fun and had everything we needed! The cabin was very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool table. Only problem some might experience is the lady bugs. However, they were not a problem to us and are not limited to this cabin alone. They have been seen at many other places in the area so don't let that deter you from staying at this cabin. We are already planning another trip back as soon as the weather warms up and definitely plan on staying here again!

  This was our first time renting a cabin. WE loved this cabin and the location. It was easy to get to from Asheville, NC which was our first stop. It was very convenient to the arts and craft trail and hiking and the state park which was our favorite part of Gatlinburg. We did not love the other touristy things so for us the cabin was our highlight.
  We should have brought more things to the cabin - we did not know there would be a grill. There was soap but no shampoo which is no big deal but if we knew we would have brought some. WE know for next time and we would definitely come back!!

  Lady bugs were a big problem in the area this year and sorry for the inconvenience! In the past 3-4 years we usually get them for about 1-2 weeks, but we've finally figured out a great way to prevent them so I don't think it will be an issue in the future.

  This is the best cabin to rent in Gatlinburg! The cabin is beautiful and the location can't be beat! The view is wonderful! This cabin will be your home away from home. We visit at least once or twice a year and have no desire to stay at any other location! Quick access to attractions, shopping, and grocery/convenience stores. You will love to relax in the hot tub or near the fireplace, play a game of pool, or enjoy a night on the porch grilling and enjoying the view of the mountains! You won't be disappointed!

  We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway at Whispering Creek! We were looking for a comfortable, clean and quiet place to unwind and and relax and we got that and more!!! By far the nicest cabin we have stayed at and we will definitely use Elk Springs in the future. The property manager was extremely nice and helpful. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend!

  We had a wonderful time and the cabin and location were gorgeous. We had one minor situation on the first night when we turned down the comforter for the first time to find the sheets stained. We quickly called management and Terri immediately drove up to the cabin and replaced all the sheets. She was very apologetic and extremely professional. Other than that small instance, we would recommend this location in a heart beat.

  We had a great time in our cabin. The view from our balcony was a great backdrop for our wedding! We had a problem with our grill, (the knobs all melted..haha), and the owners came out the same day and fixed it! They were great people. We love staying in gatlinburg, but this was probably our best trip. We've been telling everyone we know that elk springs is the way to go!

  We just enjoyed sitting on the balcony talking, listening to music and enjoying one anothers company. We got in the hot tub everyday, and cooked some of our meals there as well. Staying there at the cabin made life long memories that we will never forget. I hated to leave it was so nice!

  Great Little Cabin

  The view afforded by this cabin is fantastic! No need to go do the sky lifts - you can see a spectacular mountain view right from your decks! The kitchen was so well appointed, we made every meal at home on the deck but one. The shade screens on the deck are great - they provide at times much needed shade, but also privacy. Everything in the cabin was very well thought out that way. Our family of 4 was perfectly comfortable in the cabin for 5 nights. So much so that my kids didn't want to leave it one day! The only constructive comment I'd make is that the master bed has a distinct sag in the middle and needs replacing. The cabin owners are just up the hill if you have any needs. We were lucky to meet them our first day. We didn't need to phone them, but it was nice to know someone was close if something came up. The cabin is very close to two enterances to the smoky mountain national park and only about 15 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. Close enough to run in to town and far enough to be away from the craziness. I'd highly recommend the Elk Springs cabins if you are looking for a mountain getaway!

  The place is about 10 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg but it was worth it! The place is private, quiet and serene. The views are spectaular! Dont panic if you see bugs in the showers and tubs. The park introduced lady bugs in the Smokies a while back and they find a way to get into all of the cabins and such. Most of them are dead and they are completely harmless. Other than that, the place is clean, bright and well-maintained. =) This will be our resort for all our future visits to Gatlinburg!

  Our stay with Elks Springs was wonderful! The cabin was georgous and very clean. It had all of the comforts of home. Kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. The only issue we had was that we were e-mailed incorrect directions and we intially went to the wrong cabins. Other than that I have only great things to say about our stay. We will definitely be back.

  Amazing View!

  My wife and I rented the cabin for our first getaway since we had our first child 5+ years ago. When we got to the rental office to check in, it would have been helpful for the agent to point out that the property was not in the main Elk Springs Resort Property. We went to the wrong place.
  After getting to the cabin we were excited with the incredible beauty of the area. We arrived around sunset and the view was stunning. The sound of the creek bubbling by was very relaxing. The cabin was in excellent condition and was very easy to figure where and how things worked. The fireplaces were wonderful and the pool table was a fun relaxing activity.
  The only negatives I had were that the internet required resetting and took my time to set up. Also, the lady bugs were bad in the sleeping area.
  Overall, I would rent this cabin again based on the spectacular views and the relaxing atmosphere.

  We recently stayed at the Whispering Creek cabin. We were very pleased with the cabin. We surprised our Mom! She was so excited when we got there. The owner came right over when we called to tell them the hot tub would not come on. He had it working within minutes. My only complaint was getting back to the cabin and trying to drive around Gatlinburg. After driving 10 plus hours to get there, I did not want to be stuck in the car for hours trying to eat out or shop. We would reccomend just bringing everything you would need to eat and stay there to enjoy the view and the fabulous cabin.

  The overall stay at this property was very restful and beautiful. I recommend this property to any "able-bodied" soul interested in a restful get away... however I would not recommend it for anyone who is disabled or has a hard time getting up and down stairs as its stairs are very steep and hard to navigate. The only complaint that I have, other than too much fabric softener in the towels and no bath mats on the premise, is that there is NO EMERGENCY EXITS except the front door. Neither deck has any way down and if there were a fire there would be a minimum 25 to 30 foot drop to the ground which would be on a very steep slope.
