We enjoyed our visit there, and i highly recommend it. One issue was that there was so much bees at the balcony, and i think they were even inside the wood.

We had a fantastic time at the property. Our only complaint was that it was farther outside the central Gatlinburg area than I expected. We have a 3 year old and the long car rides back and forth to town were a bit taxing on all of us. But, it was extremely peaceful and the view was amazing.

We recently spent a week at Mountain Memories. It is a beautiful cabin with an awesome view! The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking our breakfast every morning. The beds were comfortable & the kids loved the arcade game in the basement. Our only complaint was how far out the cabin is located. It takes 20-30 minutes to get to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge or the National Park. If we could have picked the cabin up & moved it 15 minutes closer to town, it would have been perfect!

This was one of the best vacations ever. It snowed while we were in the cabins. I also got a chance to use my 4 wheel drive on my truck. It was scary and exciting to drive up the mountain and night. I would definitely come back next year.

My friend and I took a road trip and decided to drive to Gatlinburg for a few days in the mountians. Cabin was warm & inviting. Beautifully decorated for the Holidays.Had a great stay!! After we left, I received a call from manager asking us about the situation we left at the cabin. Little did we know there was a situation! We did notice water leaking after we ran the washing machine the night before we left. This woman that called me, Brandy, accused us of stuffing the basement toilet with 2-6 roles of toliet paper? Not only did we not use this bottom floor bathroom, but why would two fifty-five year old women deliberatly vandalize a beautiful place that we payed a lot of money to rent??? We were very insulted that this woman believed we made such a mess and left without reporting this problem. Apparently there was a plumbing problem that was not detected until after we left. We were very sorry for a mess that may have been in the bathroom, but it was not anything we did to create this. We still feel insulted that the communication was left as this was something we did and would not admit to doing. Other than a rude employee, our stay at the beautiful cabin was wonderful.

We were so happy with this property; I have already passed the info onto some friends already! Many have seen my picture posts on Face Book and asked about the place.
It is breathtaking!! As always you worry and wonder if the reviews and pictures were accurate. Well in this case they were right on! This place has got to be one of the best places we have stayed and we hope to come back again. There was just not enough time to do everything we had planned as well as take advantage of all the luxuries at the cabin! We almost wished it would have rained to keep us inside for a day. The views were amazing; the decorating inside the cabin was comfortable, homey and very thought out, creative and perfect for this cabin! I can’t say enough of great things about this place.
There is no way that anyone could be Dissapointed when staying here!!
I would have added more pictures but I have tried to leave this review 3 times and it did not work, so I took out some of the pictures and I am hoping this time it will be added. -

If you are looking for a get-away that has it all, this is the place. Outside there was a deck, hot tub, fire pit, hammock, and grill. Inside a perfect log cabin. Clean, every amenity you could want, plus game room with pool table and over 80 video games available. Bring your own food and drink and you could stay the week and never leave the cabin and be perfectly happy. Plus downtown is only about 12 miles away if you want to experience the tourist side of things. Truly a fantastic place to stay.

Left on 07/03/2012 for a stay in July 2012
I traveled to Mountain Memories with my parents, husband, and five year old son. We were all very happy with the cabin amenities. It had everything we were looking for – a private location just 15-30 minutes from family activities (such as Cade’s Cove, Ripley's Aquarium, Dollywood, and Splash Country); fabulous rustic décor throughout the cabin; an outside fire pit with wood provided and ample seating for everyone to enjoy roasting marshmallows; a separate basement family room with arcade machine, checkers, pool table, and TV; rocking chairs and a large hot tub on the 1st floor deck that had beautiful mountain views; free access to three nearby pools; DIRECTV with premium channels in the family room, living room, and both bedrooms; high-speed wireless internet; central air conditioning; a gas and charcoal grill for cooking; a washer, dryer, and dishwasher; separate bedrooms (with blackout curtains on the windows)- a queen bedroom on the 1st floor and a king bedroom on the 2nd floor with a futon in the loft area outside the king room (great for the little guy); not to mention, extra pillows, blankets, and towels throughout. Mountain Memories had so much to offer. I can’t imagine anyone being dissatisfied with this cabin. It was a home away from home for us.
Also, the staff at Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals was top notch. Any questions I had were answered promptly, billing and payment was a seamless process, proper directions and contact information were provided well in advance of the trip. In absolute honesty, the staff made this travel experience my best one yet! Kudos to them for doing everything right.
Choose Elk Spring Resort Cabin Rentals and Mountain Memories like we did. You won’t be disappointed. -

My girlfriend and I had an excellent time at this cabin. It was my second time staying in a Gatlinburg cabin and by far the best (the first was good too though). This cabin is about 15 minutes from Downtown and is SECLUDED, as the description says. Not inconvenient, just secluded from neighbors. It was private. The decor is very welcoming, and the HD TVs wireless internet give you all the conveniences of home. The cabin was very clean upon arrival and was outfitted with plenty of linens, cookware, dish and laundry detergents, etc. WHEN I go back to Gatlinburg, I will definitely be staying back at the Mountain Memories cabin. Thanks to the management and staff for accommodating a pleasant vacation.

After an exhaustive search into cabins around the Smoky Mountains, I found "Mountain Memories" through Elk Springs. Trip advisor had great reviews for this property manager / resort.
I found only two consistently bad reviews for this cabin; location and the quality of the upstairs bedroom mattress.
The complaint about the location was a sign that this cabin was for me. It was completely off the beaten path, far away from crazy down town Gatlinburg.
Overall it was a wonderful experience, if you want to visit The Smokies, and you don't want to deal with the downtown traffic monstrosity that is Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge I HIGHLY suggest this cabin! I hope to be able to get back to this cabin in years to come. It was everything I had wished for!
I would recommend Elk Springs, and specifically the Mountain Memories cabin, to everyone. The staff I spoke to were friendly, eager to help, and very kind. -

Had a wonderful time! Only complaints were the distance from town, beds were uncomfortable ( hard mattreses), lots of bugs outside after dark which made it difficult to enjoy the spa, and the coffee pot didn't work well and allowed coffee grinds to enter the coffee. But overall, the place offered great views and was a relaxing home away from home for our family!

Hi Amy, thanks for the feedback. It's tough to choose beds given so many different sleep preferences, but we do put upgraded mattresses and bedding in our cabins and we get a lot of requests for brand and model #'s on them. Should you have an issue, please call us as we are on site and can fix items very quickly, such as the coffee maker. Some times these things do stop working or do malfunction and we can easily replace and fix most items. Glad you enjoyed your stay!

We had the time of our lives while staying in your beatifully decorated, most comfortable relaxing cabin. We were just amazed when we walked in the front door. The big kitchen/dinning room, the great room, and the gas fireplace, we did enjoy that, It rained the very next night we arrived. The really wonderfully decorated queen size bedroom with real carved wood rafters in the celing, and across the hall a private bath. The king size bedroom upsatirs with the private bath across the hall. The two separate rooms were especially helpful for just my husband and I, he used the Q. for his storage for clothes and his own shower and changing room.... You know how us women are I had to have my own space for clothes and showers also... It worked out great! We absolutely loved and enjoyed the great big Hot tub on the upper porch. Yes, we used it everynight!! We also adored the downstairs laundry room, with it's own separate 1/2 bath. But, let us not forget the game room we adore playing pool it's very relaxing. This is the third time we've been to Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge, TN and we stayed three different cabins also.... I have to honestly say this was the most magnificient cabin yet, I have already told my husband I would love to retire here and one day use this a a blueprint for us a cabin. We only been married four years we actually got married in Gatlinburg in our cabin. We are both widowers of eight years and we absolutely love the mountains..... It is here we would love to retire and live happily ever after. We apologize for the delay in responding, we are in the middle of remodeling, we loved your granite countertops so much we decided to have some put in.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Charles Moore -

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and the experience was mesmerizing. Our stay was so relaxing and refreshing to the point where I was honestly sad to leave. This is definitely a mini vacation that my family and I will not forget. The only drawback that I have is the location. Although the location itself was beautiful and peaceful....we had a difficult time finding the cabin. The directions from the website should have been more precise and detailed because we probably drove around back and forth for over an hour looking for Branam Hollow and 321, which was mispelled on the directions as "Branham Hollow." In addition, I'm sure there are at least two different entrances to this street because we finally found one, but thought it was incorrect because of the minor spelling error and we turned around. Nonetheless, I could be mistaken and we may have actually been on the right street, but like I said we drove around for a while and everything kind of got confusing. (Sorry, I'm not quite sure about the street) But, fortunately we stopped and asked some extremely nice people if they could help us find Branam Hollow on our desperate search to find the cabin because we traveled all the way from Atlanta, GA and thank goodness they led us to the right place. However, once we found Branam Hollow from what the nice people told us, we didn't have any problems getting to the cabin, we just followed the directions from the website to the "T" at that point. So, once we made it to the cabin...the trip was definitely worth it. The cabin was equipped with a full kitchen, dishes, utensils...everything..all you need to do is bring your own food or go back down the mountain and buy some to cook or grill. The cleanliness of the cabin was immaculate...I don't have any complaints. The cabin was absolutely perfect!!

I booked the Mountain Memories cabin for a surprise long weekend away for my boyfriend's birthday. The cabin is extremely secluded with only a couple of cabins visible below the balcony and an INCREDIBLE view! Everything is spotless and the decor is impressive and adorable. The kitchen is incredibly well-stocked and although not mentioned on the website, the laundry room, foosball and snooker room are located in an elegant basement, which made the cabin feel even bigger! The first night we arrived there was a big thunderstorm and the next day, the owner came round to check all was well and fix the lid on the hot tub that had blown off, which was a nice surprise. All in all a wonderful stay and we will definitely be visiting Elk Springs again!

Our trip to Mountain Memories was fantastic!! The cabin was clean and in wonderful condition, and the check-in/check-out process was the easiest I have ever encountered. The cabin was in a neighborhood-type setting, but secluded enough to offer just enough privacy. A great attraction in the area (neighborhood) was the Climb Works ziplining company, which was located at the Branam Hollow Road entrance. It is definitely worth checking out!! I would definitely recommend this cabin and will stay again!

We had never been to Gatlinburg, but we enjoyed our stay. Mountain Memories was perfect for our family of 6. The kids loved the cabin (and all of the bear decor) just as much as the mountains. The view was fantastic , and the cabin was very comfortable. I only wish it wasn't so far away from downtown but we were told it was a bit of a drive. The view and privacy was worth the inconvenience. We have already told friends about the cabin. To do over again, we would stay there again!

We enjoyed the cabin and plan
to stay there again!!My only problem is with the directions. The directions were not very specific. Go 12 miles north on highway 321 from stoplight #3. Turn on to Branham Hollow Rd.The directions we were given mention Glades Road which is totally useless and confusing. -

I have stayed in Gatlinburg 4 times and this was the best experience. The property was beautiful and the staff was good to work with. I have already recommended Elk Springs to others and plan to return soon. We hated to leave the home we were in.

We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice quiet place in the mountains with an outstanding mountain view.

We loved the cabin! It was beautiful, clean, spacious! Couldn't have asked for anything more!!! If I could change one thing it would be to have received better directions to the cabin to start with. We were lost for 2 hours (with groceries going to ruin in our car) and ended up calling office and still couldn't get it right but finally found the office to get face to face directions and found our way. The cabin is VERY secluded and up a long and winding and very narrow road. But GORGEOUS!

Left on 05/02/2010 for a stay in April 2010
The biggest surprise and disappointment was how far from Gatlinburg (restaurants-services) (20 min) and the main entrance to National Park (30 min). The view and privacy made up for this, but helpful to have info about closest food and park access in the materials sent to us or in cabin. Cover for hot tub was barely manageable. Big screen TVs and HD...Excellent!

LaGrange, GAcleanest & coziest cabins in Gatlinburg!!
Left on 04/16/2010 for a stay in April 2010
my husband and I had a wonderful stay at Mountain Memories and couldn't have been happier!! The cabin was spotless, super cute & very comfortable. It also had the most gorgeous view of the Smokey Mountains. After staying at Elk Springs Resort we will never stay at any other resort from now on. Elk Springs has set the bar extremely high and has spoiled us. Thank you for providing such luxurious cabins......we REALLY enjoyed our stay and have nothing but positive things to say.

We had a wonderful stay at Mountain Memories. The house was extremely well-maintained, very comfortable in size for 4 adults, and it had the most amazing views! I would definitely return.

We had a good time, place was clean, beautiful view, the whole 9 yards. The only thing is, we weren't aware that the cabin was about 13-15 miles from downtown Gatlinburg, so it took us by surprise. Not a big deal, but with friends in Gatlinburg, we would have taken a closer cabin. Thank you!

The directions we received to this property were horrible. We had to call for directions twice on our way. The property owner should also be told that there appears to be a hornets' nest and bees' nest outside on the porch. We could not sit out there one day because there were so many hornets and bees flying around. There were several inside the cabin as well. It would be nice if the master bedroom had a DVD player and not a VHS player. Property was very clean and everything worked very well. It was also well equipped.
Response from Elk Springs Resort - 04/05/2010
Manager
Hi Shannon, we had the directions setup on our system incorrectly for this cabin. Really sorry about the confusion on this and we've remedied it. There is sporadic mating of carpenter bees right now which causes a lot of activity. Male bees are incapable if stinging and that's normally what you see. The females will only sting if extremely provoked, but we've never experienced one sting anybody. They will come and go, but once they are here they wont return again so the bee season for that cabin is over. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I really enjoyed the cabin my only problem was that the name of the street was misspelled on the Directions so it took a long time to find the cabin. Once we found it we had fun and the place was better than I expected.
