This vacation home has its own private gated entrance, with a climbing driveway up to our own mountain top, 2-story chalet. The large balconies offered my family unbelievable views of Smoky Mountain National Park, right in front of us. The home has an entire floor of "game room" for our kids, keeping them entertained. The changing leaf colors and mountain breeze coming over our balconies was so wonderful. My family loves to visit this area for vacation. This was our first time at "The Grandview." We've stayed in other rental properties nearby in Cobbly Nob, but not as quality and scenic as this one. It was a nice change, that we could drive straight to "The Grandview" without having to stop and check-in first. The price and what it offered, was very affordable, compared to what we've spent in the past. Peggy (the manager) was professional and sincerely friendly to my entire family, during our stay...we really value that on our vacations. Thanks Peggy--we'll be back again!!!

The management company was great. Peggy was great to deal with.
The location was awesome. The price was right. The view unbeatable.
The beds very comfortable. 3 pools where within 10 minutes drive.
Would i go here again? Heck yes. We love the place.
We went with 4 other people who felt the same way.
Our kids loved it also (8 and 2).
One note... If going to attractions in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg try to buy tickets before you get there. Some are cheaper online especially if you get the ripleys/Dixie Stampede tickets together.
Skip the Jurassic park ride. Anamatronic dinosaurs look like 50s era movie rejects. -

The snow fell for four days and we got snowed in over Christmas. The storm even made national news as hundreds of families were stranded in the Great Smokey Mountains. The house is located a pleasant 1.7 miles off the main road. However, due to the storm, that 1.7 miles of gravel road turned into a lovely ice slick complimented with three feet of snow. Truly a skier's delight. No-one was getting out of there until all the roads got salted by the county. But the house was spacious and warm, the scenery rivaled those of the alps and Peggy at Pioneer Rental could not have been more helpful and accommodating. She even put up a small Christmas Tree that greeted us when we arrived at the house. It felt like being at home. Going out on one of the two decks and looking out at the city of Gatlinburg, was a site to behold, especially after dusk when the city was lite up and snow was all around. You could sit in the hot tub on the second deck and just stare at the city for hours. A special bonus is the Zip Line store located at the foot of the mountain. Since we anticipated that we might get snowed in, we decided to leave one of our vehicles at the bottom of the mountain at that Zip store. Believe it or not, folks love to zip line during the winter so the store was open during the Christmas holidays. When we needed supplies, we would hike down the mountain in knee-deep snow and then take the car to get groceries. We'd come back and park the car at the Zip store and hike back up the treacherous mountain road. Once, the Zip Line guys (they are adorable) saw us hiking up the 1.7 mile road and insisted on taking us the rest of the way so that we wouldn't have to lug all those groceries up the mountain. They drove a four -wheel Gator so traveling on ice was no problem for them. You just don't fine nicer people than Peggy at Pioneer Rental and the guys at the Zip Line Store. The house was fabulous, but the good well and gracious hearts of the people there would bring the 14 of us back again. Note: Since there is a full bath and bedroom on the main floor, as well as the kitchen and living area, this home would work out for the elderly or moderately disabled. There is no ramp to the front door, but I'm sure that Peggy would find one if needed for a disabled person.

Grandview is a beautiful cabin that had plenty of room for all of us. The teenage boys loved having the basement to themselves, and enjoyed the pool table. There were a few toys and books for the younger ones as well as board games and books for all of us. This cabin is very isolated with a view of the Smokies that you can't even imagine. The driveway is not difficult to get up (only the last few yards are steep but manageable) and the drive up to the gravel driveway is curvey but paved, not too far off of the main road (or a convenience store). We could be in Gatlinburg in 20 minutes or less. You can sit in the deck's rocking chairs or in the hot tub and watch the stars at night or have a picnic outside on the picnic table. It has a nice sized charcoal grill, but don't forget to bring your own charcoal. The cabin is nicely decorated with beautiful woodwork throughout. I would highly recommend this cabin to a large family who doesn't want to vacation in a cabin community. We would definitely go back there! The management was very helpful and courteous.
