Jasper, IN, United StatesLooks good but not very usable.
Left on 04/30/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The couches were extremely wore out. You sunk down in the seat so far you could hardly get up. The view was terrible. There was no insulation in the walls at all. The bed was wore out. I had a backache so bad I could hardly stand it.

The cabin was comfortable and cozy, it snowed for 2 days and the firewood that was cut made for a great couple of days with dinner and movies by the fireplace my husband and I enjoyed the week...

This rental is in a very poor location with noisy neighbors (dogs) on both sides. The showers in both baths were in disrepair-leaking water and loose tiles with poor drainage. The hot tub was in a shack on the side of the cabin and was very difficult to access. Overall a poor rental choice.

Neighbors are right above you on the right side. The cabin was not cleaned very well. Cabin was cozy and unique. No views at all except to look at the road and neighbors. Tv's and CD player were older. I have stayed in other cabins before that were quite a bit nicer and more secluded. Very disappointed. Still love Elk Springs. Just would not recommend this cabin.

Left on 01/02/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We totally enjoyed our stay at Magic Moments. The cabin could not have been nicer. It was perfect for our mountain getaway. The staff was very helpful from the time that we made our reservations. It was a great experience and we hope to go back again soon. When we do, we want to stay in the same cabin.

The cabin was beautiful and immaculate. Perfect for our family of 6. I did not realize upstairs was an open loft, but we did some rearranging of people and it worked perfectly.

The cabin was relatively clean, but the ad said a TV in each bedroom and the living room(one was missing). Basically no view at all(wasnt advertised to have one). The hottub is in a cubby hole in the back. It was ok. The location was convienient to the strip and Food City. Basically we were very happy with the cabin aside from the missing TV(we had children)and our main complaint would be lack of view.

Magic Moments is a beautiful cabin just down the road from their other cabins. What a great place to stay! We would like to come back again with mutiple families and stay in a bigger cabin next summer.

Newburgh, IndianaNot the "luxury" I was looking for!
Left on 07/31/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Stayed at this cabin July 23 thru the 26th, 2012. The webpage states; New luxury cabin with 2 master suites, gas fireplace, 3 televisions, and 3 dvr players. I'm not sure how long one can consider something new, but this one is pushing the boundaries. There is one king suite and a king bed in the loft area. There are 2 televisons, not three, and only 1 dvr player. Webpage states that 1 of the televisions is a 42", it's more like a 32". The other television is a tube television with a bad picture. I couldn't find any gas controls for the fireplace, and think it is actually wood burning. The small pool table in the loft is actually too big for the space it fills. Yuo have to use the 3 foot cue to play, not to mention that one of the pockets has a hole in it which allows the balls to slam to the floor scaring everyone in the cabin. The noise created from walking across the floor is enough to wake those in the downstairs bedroom. The sink in the upstairs bathroom is also too large for the area, very obtrusive when trying to use the toilet. The photo on the website depicts a nice, large hot tub area. In reality you can't take one full step out of the back door without falling into it. I posted all of these comments on the elk springs website and received no response. The price wasn't too bad but there are three different $45 charges in addition to rental price and tax. If looking for a "luxury" cabin in the Smokies, shop around. I have stayed at 6 or 7 cabins over the years and again, not terrible, but not as advertised.
