we stayed 5 days and enjoyed every minute, the peace and quite the cabin was just want we wanted and was perfect..Hot tub was perfect, as was the bed comfortable. And yes we had a visit from the local bear. sat just outside of the porch and moved on. thanks for a wonderful stay

We stayed here for 7 days. It was fantastic. You are only a few minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. However, you have all of the peace and serenity you could want. We had originally planned on spending all of our time one town or the other doing all of the touristy things. However, after arriving here we wound up spending two days here doing nothing but hanging out and enjoying the chalet/cabin.
Pros:
The reservation was easy to make.
Peggy was a pleasure to work with.
Very clean.
Secluded yet close to everything.
Private (there are other cabins close but none are in line of sight from the cabin itself except through the canopy)
Jukebox with radio, supplied Cd's, and you can put your own Cd's in it.
Price, you will pay as much or more for a plain old boring hotel room.
Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of pillows.
Pioneer Rentals included a nice folder with a bunch of brochures for the local attractions as well as coupons, maps etc. You can pick up the same thing in town but very nice for a late check in to see what you want to do the next day.
Check in-check out. Very simple. After payment they set the door code to a specific number for your stay. No keys needed.
Jacuzzi on the balcony, heart shaped hot tub for two in the bedroom.
Separate shower/tub in the downstairs bathroom.

Cons:
Bathroom is downstairs from the bedroom.
Toaster was not toasting on the inside halves.
Pots and pans are old and cause problems with food sticking.
No dresser to unpack your clothes. I don't like living out of my suitcases.
Steep windy road to cabin. Take GPS!!! (Of course you expect this for a mountain cabin/chalet)
I would definitely recommend this place to stay if you want convenience to everything yet privacy and seclusion. The management of the property, Pioneer Rentals, made the stay even more pleasant with all of their help! -

The worst thing about this cabin was that the bedroom was in the loft and the bathroom was downstairs. There was also a window sill full of dead bugs behind the headboard of the bed. We had an additional problem when we went to swim at the pool club (which we were told was a property amenity) and the person in charge told us we had to leave immediately because we didn't have a guest card. On the positive side, I called our rental agent, Peggy, and she immediately drove to the pool and brought us one. Other than the problem with the dead gnats (which, in this climate, could easily occur after cleaning), the property was clean and Peggy was great to work with. The bedding was excellent and the hot tub was sparkling clean. I will use Pioneer Rental for another visit due to the excellent customer service...I just won't choose this property.
