I would like to thank everyone at MLC for helping my family out during Hurricane Isaac. We decided to evacuate for the hurricane at the last minute and everyone in the office was very accomodating by helping us find a cabin while we were traveling on the road. We always stay with MLC when we vacation in Gatlinburg, so naturally it was the first place I called when we decided to make a mini vacation out of our situation. The cabin was very nice and had all the amenities that we needed. My daughters loved the pool table in the loft and my husband loved the hot tub on the back deck. We would not hesitate to stay at the alpine Getaway in the future.

Spacious cabin. Like how all on same floor but pool table and futon in loft. Took 4 kids-2 girls slept in guest queen bed while our 5 and 7 yr old boys slept on couches in living room enjoying Netflix-they were all in Heaven! Nice huge flat screen tv in master. Loved the hottub too! All got a kick out of imagining that a blackbear might come visit from the woods off the deck. No bears tho-oh well.
Cabin could use a stripping of wallparer and new paint. Also need to pressure wash deck and outside of cabin. Customer Service with this company is always top notch. Booked several times.
Overall, Kitchen stocked and had a blast-loved being up the mountain and in the woods. Good Old Smokies! Thanks again to Mountain Laurel Chalets. You never let us down. Will book with you again! -

We had the greatest luck in finding alpine Getaway available for the days/nights we spent in Gatlinburg. We are regulars to this wonderful lil city in the Smokies, and this was the first time we have used this rental agency, and will from this day forward continue to use only Mountain Laurel Chalets. The home was perfect! The location was perfect! The home is gorgeous. We didn't see any bears, to our disappointment, but we still had such a great time, just relaxing and grilling out, spending family time together. We will be returning to this home once again. And I must say, the pool houses look far on the map, but are so close and easy to locate. We thank you for the hospitality, even though we were charged for rental.. haha! It felt like home away from home...

This is a nice set-up for two couples. There are private bath facilities for two King size bedrooms if you close off the one bathroom to the adjacent living room area. This was our second stay in this same unit. The decor is showing wear. Plenty of spaces in the one bathroom for shelves, but only one available. Lighting is dim. We are readers. The mosquitoes were an issue for some of us when we wanted to sit on the patio. It is nice and quiet with no clearly visible units, even though there are several close by; thus not a view. The pool table in the loft was a draw for our men. Much laughter was heard as they sharpened their skills. Parking for more than one vehicle would be difficult but doable. Love the friendliness of the staff and easy access of extra supplies. Would use Mountain Laurel again even if not this same unit.

We have been visiting the Smokies for many years now and have always been very happy with the service of Mountain Laurel Chalets, the quality and comfort of the cabins/chalets are second to none, and the club houses are a very nice ammenity. We will definitely return and have no doubts our accommodations will be more then satisfactory.

Alpine Getaway was in a nice location and the service was excellent. The only thing I didn't like about alpine Geataway was the quality of the bedding. The bed was a little uncomfortable to sleep in. We couldn't enjoy the hot tub outside due to the fact that it was raining.

This was my girlfriends and I second stay in Gburg. The first stay was with Chalet Village and the second with Mt Laurel in alpine Getaway. We very much enjoyed this Chalet and the netflix. We have decided to make it our top choice if available everytime we come down. The only major issue we had was the grill wire mesh. It needs to be changed because the slots are so huge food falls through them. We enjoyed the lush wooded view and the location. Thank you Mt Laurel Chalets for making our stay tremendous.

I chose alpine Getaway after several days of researching chalets. It was the third chalet I had stayed in, and I was disappointed with my choice. The interior was very dated, worn, dimly lit, and had mismatched appointments. I was uncomfortable in those surroundings. My husband said, "That was about as rustic a place as I'd want." We had intended to reserve a chalet for our grown son's upcoming visit in august, but I feel that we did not get our money's worth from the June stay. This property needs to be refurbished, including new mattresses, foundations, and bedding. Considering the expense to us, I would much rather have stayed in a fresh, well-appointed motel room. We continue to deliberate our arrangements for our trip to the Gatlinburg area next month.

We came for New Year's and had a wonderful 5 night stay. Have stayed here before and love the layout of this Chalet. The hot tub was not hot enough and a quick phone call to office and someone came and fixed it. The small Christmas tree was still up and it looked great with a nice fire going. This Chalet is older, well kept and a new king mattress would be nice. Will be returning for another relaxing stay and playing pool.

I loved the layout of the chalet we stayed in. The windows surrounding the dining room table gave a glorious view during mealtimes. I was impressed with the quality of the hot tub on the deck. My husband liked beating me in pool that was also included with the chalet! We enjoyed the closeness to Gatlinburg, while at the same time the isolation the mountain top gave us with this chalet. I would recommend this site to others and would also consider returning in the future.

Alpine Getaway is a relaxing and peaceful home-away-from-home. It has everything you could want. My family and I enjoyed the spacious and comfortable living space. I would highly recommend this chalet to others.

This is a great, clean cabin. Perfect for our family vacation. Did not have much of a "yard" to explore for my children, but it was still a very nice place. The only drawback for me was getting there. The house was a little hard to find, especially at night. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience.

We spent 4 wonderful nights in Alpine Getaway in October. We couldn't have asked for a nicer chalet or amenities that go along with it. It is secluded with a wonderful view of the woods. We had a nice fire in the fire place on 3 of the 4 nights and enjoyed watching TV and reading with the fire. Although not new, the chalet is in excellent shape with everything you could ask for. My only suggestion for improvement would be to provide connection to the internet.

We loved the Chalet. It's light and has a beautiful fire place. The spiral staircase makes it unique. They've kept it updated and very pretty inside. However, the hot tube did not get hot and it was cold outside. If you got in it, you couldn't stay there long or you freeze! Other than that it was a great getaway.

Left on 01/21/2009 for a stay in January 2009
We had a wonderful time at this location. The cabin was well furnished and provided all the comforts of home.
We only had a couple of issues when we arrived. We were notified by the check in staff that the hot tube was not working, but that they had called the repairmen to go and fix it. The repairmen arrived as promised, but were unable to fix the hot tube. This was one of several factors we choose this cabin. Luckily we only lost the use of the hot tube for a night and a day. The hot tube was repaired and hot by the time we returned the next day from visiting in Gatlinburg.
The second issue was about the fireplace. The wood locker was well stocked, but there was no kindling, paper or matches. These are very important items for starting a fire.
All in all we had a very comfortable time at this cabin. Access to it was reasonable, the view was great, and it was very accessible to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
This is a place that we would come back to again. -

Although the chalet was nice overall, one of the things I looked forward to most was sitting on the deck and enjoying the hot tub. Unfortunately the hot tub wasn't working and it took almost our entire trip for it to be repaired. We weren't offered any type of refund or incentive to rent through Mt. Laurel chalets again despite our inconvenience. The view at this particular location wasn't too impressive either, although the layout and cleanliness of the chalet was great.

Left on 10/09/2008 for a stay in May 2008
We have stayed here several times, and it's always our first choice when visiting the Smokies because we love staying on the mountain, and because of the versatility of the house. It has essentially 2 master bedrooms on the main level with a spiral staircase that leads to a loft with pool table and futon that our kids love to use. We've even shared the house with friends who also brought along their 2 children, and with all the space in the great room no one felt cramped. We love staying here, but apparently so do lots of other people, so it's best to book early.
