Woodsong was wonderful! We have stayed here 4 years now and never get tired of the beauty around us...both inside and out. Mountain Laurel makes it easy to enjoy every minute of the trip and difficult to leave because of their excellent service. Hope to be back for many years to come.

Came to Woodsong for our honeymoon in 1995. Have been back several times, most recently this summer (2012). The chalet remains as beautiful and as special as always. Great job on the renovation of the lower level. Look forward to being here again.

Woodsong was the perfect cabin for three couples. We really liked having three separate master suites with king beds and adjoining bathrooms. The kitchen/great room was perfect for fun evenings together. The deck/hot tub and view were spectacular. We brought three motorcycles and the location was great - easy access from the street and a garage for overnight storage of the motorcycles. We've rented from Mountain Laurel Chalets many times and this was one of the best cabins.

It seems this place is the most booked property in the Ski Mtn Road area for a reason. The views are spectacular and this place is really nice. It's aging "just a little" but the owners keep it up really well and it has everything you would need for a great stay. It was on a road with other houses but it felt very private. You could see a little bit of Gatlinburg from the deck in the distance, but you really feel you are in the middle of the woods. It's just right.
My wife and I stayed for the week following Easter with our two teenage daughters. The trip was mostly for spending quality time, relaxing and to take pictures. We had more planned for the week, but we enjoyed Woodsong so much, we stayed in a lot. I got great photos from Cades Cove and from the gap, but the best ones were right off the main deck at Woodsong. It looks right over Mt. LeConte and to the right, if you have good binoculars you can just barely see Clingman's Dome. I never tired of the vew. Everybody loved their rooms, the view, and the hottub.
We used the wireless Internet, the kitchen, the hottub, the stereo, the washer and dryer, watched movies, and worked some of their puzzles. To be really picky, the hottub cover was showing a bit of age and could stand to be replaced. The CD player in the middle floor bedroom didn't work. The BBQ grill was a little nasty, but we didn't use it. And a puzzle piece missing. I hope you see that if this is all we could complain about, you know everything was really good. Mountain Laruel Chalets, the property managment, was very easy to deal with in booking and check-in and they seemed very organized. I called a couple times with questions and got knowledgeable, helpful people.
We saw a deer one morning right by the house. The family that stayed right before us saw the bears at the chalet according to their note in the journal. We didn't see the momma bear and cubs from the chalet, but saw them twice on the road right below us when driving back. That was a neat plus to the area, but I fear the bear family will end up being a nuisance and get in some trouble. They seemed pretty comfortable with people, which probably isn't a good thing.
It is a windy road down to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, but really not far at all (I think about a mile and a half) to the visitor's center where we took the trolley for 50 cents each to avoid the parking in Gatlinburg.
It was a great trip and Woodsong will certainly stay on our mind for a long time. -

We have stayed at a number of places over the years, but have settled on Woodsong as our choice for our semi-annual retreat to the mountains. It is so comfortable. There are a few small items needing attention but over all we will not change locations. We are reserved for the fall. Hot tub needs some work on controls.

We had the privilege of staying in this wonderful Chalet in December. Everything was in order and beautifully decorated and the view of the mountains was outstanding. The Chalet was well furnished with everything we needed for our stay. I wish we could have stayed longer but will definelty be back for another stay.

When we arrived it was clean, neat and decorated wonderfully. We were able to find everything we needed! The place was comfortable and inviting. We had a wonderful stay in Woodsong. There was plenty of space and privacy for my whole family! We cooked dinner, grilled, sat in the hot tub & more - there were no issues! When we come back - Woodsong will be the first place we look for!

The cabin was absolutely perfect! I traveled with my wife and two other couples. Liked that each of us had our own floor and bathroom. The cabin was very clean and well kept. The kitchen was well stocked. The view was incredible!

The first thing noticed when you walk through the front door is the view out back! After that, we found one treat after another with this cabin. With 3 couples, we all had our space, as well as a great 'together' space! Every floor has a bedroom with a view, as well as a bathroom. The kitchen provided a great deal of space for numerous chefs in the kitchen too! We had a great time and didn't want to leave!

During our stay from July 1-5,2011 We were greeted by 3 bears right in front of the Chalet (Momma and 2 young cubs) crossing road. We have been to Gatlinburg and stayed with Mt. laurel Chalets for over 13 years and never seen bears.
The chalet is beautifully maintained and comfortable. View is amazing. You can watch the Gatlinburg Fireworks from the deck!!!
While we were there we saw 13 bears!!! One was down the rode at corner of Wiley Oakley and Leisure Ln (she had 4 little cubs up in trees and she sat at bottom of them. I was able to get some really great and close photos. So wish I was able to upload them. We saw several every morning - Looked up one morning from the breakfast table and saw 2 cubs go running by after momma. It was a terrific time!
We will definately be back to WoodSong. Thank you for such a wonfderful place to stay and relax. There were many comforts of home and well stocked kitchen appliances (mixer, blender, crock pot, etc) so if we wanted to cook we could!

Had a wonderful time in the chalet, only stayed for 3 days, but wished had stay 2 weeks, it was beautiful, everything colorful, weather was perfect, and nothing was missing in the chalet, you only have to go and shop for food, the view was perfect ! recommended to anyone.

Woodsong has a great location and a fabulous view. House is well laid out. Grill was easy to use. Also, the garage was a bonus to park the car in and get it off the road and out of the way and the weather. I loved the window seat and the loft area. I will definitely return!!!

Woodsong is a beautiful,spacious and warm home. - This was our third stay at the house since 2006. We are always sad to leave and enjoy our time there.Our only complaint and concern is that this was the second time we have found the kitchen; - appliances, counter-tops and general area very dirty, and the outside grill was horribly filthy, - like it has never been cleaned. - Not usable. All other areas of the house have always been fine.

We have stayed w/Mtn Laurel since our honeymoon in 1983 and have never been disappointed. We had rented a different chalet and upon arrival the hot tub was leaking so we requested a different chalet. (this was our first disappointment with a chalet and we wondered how it would be handled) The staff was exceptional on their efforts to relocate us to our satisfaction, to a chalet that would be availble for the duration of our stay. One asked us what our criteria was and then knew exactly where we belonged...Woodsong. Although above our price range we rented it and really did not want to leave. The view is exceptional! Three master suites with full bath (all roomy well appointed, each with a separate balcony), each on their own level so there is room for many, even though it was just us two! Main level comtains one of the suites so no stairs to climb and it has all a person with walking difficulites would need) Separate thermostats for each level. Eclectic but tasteful furnishings, extremely well stocked kitchen, covered deck with hot tub, feeling of privacy but not to remote, close to Gburg! There is even a garage to store your vehicle or two. We will rent again and again God willing.
We have "bragged" on this chalet back home, like it was our own. A new favorite for us! -

This is everything to hope for in a Gatlinburg Rental! The house is absolutely beautiful with the floor plan, decorating, comfort measures and the view! It also has a bedroom downstairs with a refridgerator and sink. We have stayed at Woodsong 4 times now and hope to visit many more!

My family and I stayed at Woodsong the week of July 4th!! I had family and friends come up from Knoxville for the 4th and there was plenty of room for 14 people!! We had a Bar-B-Q and the gas grill was so convienant!! My kids loved the chalet,after the 4th it was just my family which is 4 of us and we had plenty of room!!! Also it was very clean and well kept!! We even had a racoon to visit on the deck a couple of mornings!! I would deffinately stay there again!!!

My husband and I and our friends had such a great time at the Woodsong. We did not want to leave. Each and every morning, we woke to a most beautiful view and a lone hummingbird coming to visit. Seems he had a few things on his mind, as he would talk to us. I think he was just very hungry. We saw a couple of bears as we drove out of the Chalet area very early one morning.
The "home" was so comforting and made us feel right at home. The decorations and design of the house was very "homey".
We are contemplating staying there again next year.

Our family has stayed at various different chalets in the Gatlinburg area. We fell in love with this one. We would highly recommend this chalet to anyone. It was clean, very comfortable with a layout that worked perfectly for our family. The view of God's creation was awesome from the main deck. The most comfortable beds we have slept in away from home. This is a special place that you are sure to enjoy.

This chalet is amayzing. The view is incredible! It is perfect for our children and their families. Plenty of room for togetherness and privacy. The grandchildren loved the loft. It was perfect for them. Grandaughter abbie ( 8 yrs ) did not want to leave.I love the warm "homeyness" of this chalet. It is so comfortable. I can't wait to come back.I loved sitting on the deck watching the ever changing mountains as the sun and clouds moved across the sky. Everything you need is here, the only missing is you!!!

Wow! Words cannot describe this Chalet. You need to see for yourself. The beds were the most comfortable beds I have slept on in any of your Chalets. The view was awesome! I don't want to brag to much about this Chalet, because I want it to be available the next time we stay with you. It could use a pinball machine or pooltable for the kids and better jets in the hottub. Overall, I'd give it a 10 out of 10.

We loved Woodsong because of the layout of the cabin. The ptivate downstairs was awesome because we could put the children down for the night and go downstairs and watch movie or enjoy the hot tub. (ofcourse we had monitors). But also we only needed one child gate going to upstairs because DS has a door that closes off. We enjoyed our stay very much and weill come again. The only bad thing about the cabin was the large root growing out front I tripped on it twice!!

Our stay at the Woodsong chalet was fantastic! It was our first visit and we couldn't have been more pleased. Reservation booking and check-in was fast, friendly, and efficient. The chalet was gorgeous and beautifully decorated. The beds were very comfortable (no backache). We love to cook and were pleasantly surprised that the kitchen was so well equipped. But best of all was the mountain view. We sat on the deck for hours just watching the mountains change as the "smoke" rose. The only thing that could be improved is to have a better clasp or lock on the trash cans outside. Bears got into ours and threw one can of trash on the ground and then took the second can down the hillside. I guess they must've liked our cooking!

Always want to come back ! I've stayed at mt.chalet many times since 1995. chalets are kept very clean, nice decorated, and you feel at home, only need to go out and do your grocery shopping
Any time of the year is nice to go,,, you will always find some special each season throughout the year, my favorite is autumn and christmas. Beautiful. -

The view was fantastic and there is plenty of room. The house was a little dirty but it is a big place. We had ample room for 3 adults, two teenagers and three kids. The drive up and down the mountain is kind os scary if you're not used to tight winding roads. The roads need some repairs too, especially around some of the curves. The drive wouldn't be as bad if people didn't drive so fast. At night cars road right behind me even though I was doing the speed limit and their lights blinded me in my side view mirrors around the curves. The cost was okay but we did not get the same rate as what was qouted when I rented on line. I didn't notice until I got back home. I kind of feel ripped off. I was qouted $855 for 4 nights but wound up paying around $1200.

Don, we are a bit confused by your comments on the rate. The day you booked your reservation, our desk clerk called you and discussed with you the rate for 4 adults and three children. Your card was charged the first night's rent as a deposit and a confirmation mailed to you the next day showing the total bill and the balance due upon arrival. That was five months ago. The amount you were charged at check-in was the same amount quoted on the confirmation you received in March.
The rate for Woodsong is $190 per night for two people. Since you had extra people in your party, there were additional charges for them. We intentionally call every person who books a reservation on-line to go over the rate we charge because we don't want there to be any confusion about the bill before you arrive. I am sorry if this was not the case this time. -

In my opinion, Woodsong is the best of Mountain Laurel's rental chalets. It is timeless and tastefully decorated with a wonderful wide porch that doubles as another room in the airy and light home. The spectacular view is maximized in every room. The only fault is the bathrooms are small and dark but sthe chalet's positives far outweight the negative. We have stayed at Woodsong many times over the past 15 years and continue to check its availability first.

This house is exactly what my husband and I would love to find and
live in when we retire. It is so comfortable and beautifully decorated.
You can tell that it is not just another rental, but is loved by the owner.
The view is spectacular. We really felt at home. Even though the back
yard was covered in hickory nuts, we didn't see the bears that other
renters have seen, but maybe next time. The garage was an added
bonus, very rare in a rental. Our favorite place! -

This was the second time that we stayed at Woodsong. It is a wonderful chalet, very nicely furnished and has a fabulous view of the mountains and the lights of downtown Gatlinburg at night. I don't think that there was anything that we needed that we did not find. We have 2 small children and we cooked in one night ---- we found everything in the kitchen that we needed. The lower level is fabulous although we didn't use it ---- it is certainly a nice addition to the chalet and would be perfect for my parents if they came with us.

WOW!!! What a wonderful surprise this chalet turned out to be. For the price we've paid for a one or two bedroom.
Secluded, quiet, relaxing, and breathtaking view. The car garage was an added bonus. We always enjoy the drive up the mountain. Planning to come back with our in-laws. -

We love Woodsong. We go as a group each December to have a relaxing fun weekend before Christmas. We really like going into Gatlinburg at least one night to see the lights and have fun. But the best part is staying at the chalet with a fire and playing games or soaking in the hot tub. The views are wonderful also. We see Ober Gatlinburg ski slopes and down into town. It's peaceful and quiet. The downstairs is like a whole different villa. We love it!!

We stayed at fabulous Woodsong with my parents for our first family vacation ever together. My parents were so impressed as were my husband and I with all that this rental had to offer.
The price was very good to begin with and it just got better. The house was very high up Ski Mtn. and the roads were a little scary at times.
The house itself is beautiful,charming,comfortable and roomy. My parents stayed in the main floor bedroom and we stayed the in basement bedroom.
The basement was great for us and at the time only had a kitchen type sitting area which has since been changed to a comfortable looking tv area from what I can see on the website.
I felt very secure and confident that everyone had a great time.
I would stay there again if it were only my husband and I. (who knew my dad had a little fear of heights?)
The rental company was very nice and the house was clean and homey. I think anyone would love it!
