The house is located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, however, you have to travel 15 minutes up the mountain. We are used to driving in mountains, however, We only went out one night after dark as the roads were not in great shape. The bathrooms were tiny and the showers were the smallest I have ever seen. We have a small 11 year old son and the showers were too small for him. The beds are comfortable, which was a plus. The ceiling fan in the bedroom on the main level is terribly noisy and we could not use it. The kitchen is NOT appointed for guests that plan on cooking. The cabinets were stocked with way too many pots and pans taking up tons of space, however, no casserole dishes, and one very old, cheap rubbermaid container that was probably an old butter container is all you have for leftover storage. There were no measuring spoons or cups, so I purchased some while I was out. The dishwasher takes exactly 2 hours to run on the normal cycle and the silverware is located in a bottom drawer, requiring you to bend down and search for forks and spoons. There was 1 wine glass, for a house that sleeps 6. There is no pantry or cabinet space in the cabinets for guests to put food, as they are filled with pots and pans, 2 large strainers, etc. I ended up keeping most of our food on top of the fridge, but I am short, and this was a problem. The large plastic outdoor caged trashcan needs to be replaced as it is cracked and the trash falls out whenever you open the cage . The support beams under the deck supporting the hot tub are bowing as there are no crossbeams. I fully expect the deck to collapse at some point, hopefully not while anyone is in the hottub. For that reason, we never used the hottub. There were no rocking chairs (besides one indoor recliner) which I expect when staying in a mountain cabin, although not a huge deal, we just brought our own. There were several cobwebs throughout the house, including one on the lower level with a huge live spider. The green indoor - outdoor carpeting on the front porch is nasty and should be thrown out. The staff at JMH informed us when we arrived that the cabin was just a short 6 minute drive from the office. It was more like 26 minutes, with no traffic. Not a problem, I just wish they had been honest.

We loved the hot tub! The map that was given was a bit difficult to follow and the drive way was tricky, but I am ready to go back!

My husband and I stayed at the Three Bears Cabinfor 2 nights as a little getaway for ourselves. We had a wonderful time. The late arrival process was super easy with all the information we needed and a map to the cabin. The road up to the cabin is pretty steep and was a little scary for me since I am not used to those types of roads. My husband however took it as an adventure and he loved it! The cabin was very clean and smelled fresh. The view was nice. We definitely plan to stay with Jackson Mountain homes again in the future! We plan to bring our kids with us next time!

The unit was very nice and clean. The back view was very good. The unit is 3 stories and has everything you might need for cooking or having fun. The roads leading to the unit can be a bit scary the first few times... just take it slow. When we come back we would like to see the back yard leveled out maybe and a swing or something would be nice.

Nice cabin clean and comfortable, good cabin for a family. The only negative thing is the parking very hard to get in and out of the driveway, especially in a full size suv or truck. Other than the driveway, no problems.
Great place to vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay. The pictures were an accurate reflection of what the cabin looked like, everything worked like it was supposed to, and everything was very clean. The staff when we checked in was very helpful. We will definitely be staying in one of the cabins again.

We just came back from Three Bears. A wonderful cabin. Nicely decorated for Christmas. We spent a lot of time there as we had a baby with us. The only down fall is the roads to the cabin. We the smoke comes in from the mountains, it was virtually impossible to see the bends in the road. The road is extremely narrow and unlit. Very scary even in a pickup truck. When we left, we were under a winter weather advisory...very scary coming down the mounain. The cabin was wonderful. Clean. Showers are small. Lol If you are large people, you might get stuck. Luckily, we weren't! We would recommend coming to this cabin. But, come when the weather is good.

The cabin was great for 2, could of had another couple upstairs. Downs, Shower sizes were smaller than my travel trailer although there is a shower in the garden tub. Tub not quite big enough for two. Unfortunatly the week we were there we had a heat wave, and with afternoon sun coming right onto back balcony we could not sit out in the afternoons or use the spa,,, I loved the location and drive up the mountain to the cabin. Firefly's were awesome.
We ha a great weekend getaway on the top of a mountain at tree b

Had a great stay. Would deffinatly recommend this cabin to others, though check it was easy, should I stay at the same can again and know where to find it I don't think an in office check in would be necessary.

This was our second stay with Jmhs and it was a pleasure. Getting to/from the cabin was a minor challenge due to the incline but we managed. We do not even bother comparing cabins, prices, etc. with any other company.

Nice cabin. Pros: Hot tub was great! Nice TV. Nice view. Games in basement OK. Nice atmosphere. Cons: Bed in master BR a bit too soft. Showers were too small or awkward to use. Parking was awkward ( had Ford Expedition). It was hard to exit parking area. Overall had great time. Cabin was close to P. Forge, Gatlinburg and Smokies.

My husband and I (and our chocolate lab) had a great time at Three Bears Cabin. It was very clean, specious and just far enough from the main road to feel secluded. The drive up the road to the cabin was a little bit like an amusement park ride at times, but it wasn't too bad. There was a bear advisory while we were there, although no bears were spotted around the cabin site during our stay. The hot tub was heavenly, especially on those cool nights! The only reason I gave "comfort" 4 stars is because I am used to my own bed. The mattresses were a little worn and sagged in the middle slightly in the main floor bedroom, but it was not "uncomfortable" by any means. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked with all of the appliances and utensils that we needed to cook and eat in the cabin, so that was a plus! The check-in staff were welcoming and very helpful with all of the questions I had regarding the area. If given the opportunity to visit the Smokies again, I would definitely stay at Three Bears Cabin again!!

The cabin was great and clean the location was high in the mountains but the car made it. We had a wonderful time. We also had a visit from a 600 pound black bear that walked within 10 feet of the cabin what a rush

We love the cabin. It's the perfect size for 6, and has plenty of bathrooms. We spent the days exploring the mountains and evenings in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. It is centrally located but away from the city crowds (no noise). Once you figure out the side and back roads to getting around the crowds, it's in the perfect area for whatever your interests are. The roads are steep and winding, but if you want to relax with a peaceful mountain view, it's worth it.

Enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the bullfrogs I could hear from the back porch at night. I also enjoyed the mama turkey and her babies that was in the backyard the day we arrived. Your cabin was just big enough for my family and our baby Gigi (yorkie)..the whole experience was great...

I was well pleased with my trip to three bears cabin. Everything was in perfect order. I had no T.V. when I first arrived but it came in shortly afterwards.I think the directions from the office up to the cabin could be a little clearer. I was well pleased for the most part. I hope to do this again soon.

My parents and I decide to rent this cute little cabin up in mountains for our Easter vacation. We had a great time. The views from the back porch was very nice. We even saw a black bear one night as we where driving back to the cabin from being in town. We liked the fact that this cabin was also pet friendly as I brought my dog. The cabin was very cozy and the three of us felt very at home there. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again and stay at there cabins.

Three Bears Cabin was very nice. It's not real large but was plenty big for the 3 of us and a large dog. The beds were comfortable and loved the gas fireplace since it was sooo cold. The stairs to the lower floor were kind of steep but I only had to go down there once to do a little laundry. There was a gate in front of those stairs so I didn't have to worry about our dog trying to go down (which would also work for small children). The upstairs bedroom got very hot even though we had the thermostat set on 72 but we couldn't lower it anymore because my elderly mother was in the main floor bedroom. So.. we just opened the window and then slept comfortably.

Came to Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg for Our Honeymoon. My first visit to the area. Had a wonderful time! Cabin was Great! Well stocked, etc. Will be back Someday. Only negative - The driveway set up. Tree stump in center should be removed and make one flat drive instead of a half circle.
Nice, cozy, well-maintained cabin!

Only have a few complaints- The bathroom floor was sooo sticky that our socks literally would get stuck to it... I guess who ever stayed before us, used a massive amount of hairspray and it didn't get cleaned really well?? Other than that, the cabin seemed to be clean. We have always rented from Jackson Mountain Homes and this was my least favorite location of a cabin. Everyone likes different things tho. This one was up a really narrow, curvy road and the driveway is almost to the top of a hill- so you can't see over... The driveway is narrow so you just kinda pray each time you pull in the drive that no one is coming! haha. It's actually not a busy road, so we weren't all that worried but is kind of awkward. I enjoyed having a washer & dryer in our cabin, which they always seem to have those in every cabin. The bed was comfortable downstairs, we didn't use the one upstairs... The cabin was somewhat cramped the way they laid it out, There's not really much of a living room. It was just me and my husband so it was okay. But for a family- There's only two love seats in there...
I know it sounds like a lot of complaints. The cabin isn't bad at all and I would stay there again. I just prefer some of the other cabins we have stayed in before over this one.

We liked the cabin but had several issues with door lock, which required lock to be changed. We had got locked out several times and had to call the office 3 times for service. Kitchen and dining area were a little too small for our needs and I couldn't tell that from looking at home on-line. Also, basement was not very user friendly, due to steep and awkwardly placed steps. Read more
Thank you for your comments. We hope that you enjoyed your stay and apologize that you experienced any problems with the door lock. We are glad that we were able to replace the lock for you and appreciate your patience and understanding. We hope that you will choose Jackson Mountain Homes for your next Smoky Mountain getaway.

This was a very well kept cabin and my family and I enjoyed it for the four nights that we stayed. We did have a problem with the internet access, but it was resolved promptly and courteously. The cabin is situated both close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and the view from the cabin was wonderful.
The one thing I did not like was the lady bugs, but was glad that they had a vacuum to clean them up. Also, I do not put that against Jackson Mountain Homes as that is something that they left a note on about the "pests".
It was nice to go do sight seeing and then come back to a comfortable cabin and either sit and watch TV, play pool or another game. I'm glad that they provide a washer/dryer because that is a very nice amenity to have when on vacation.

The cabin was in excellent condition, very clean and private. The owner does an outstanding job of maintaining and updating this beautiful place.
This cabin is a place we will certainly visit often.
