We had a wonderful time there. Was my first time there with my children and sister and her family. My husband had been there before when he was young. We had such a great time. I cabin was in excellent condition. Great space for all 8 of us. The cabin was beautiful and very accommodating and spacious. We will definitely be back!

The cabin is beautifully set up for families. I can't think of a single thing that is missing for having fun. The staff at Jackson Mountain Homes were very helpful and check in was a breeze. Hope to go back again next winter.
Worked great for all of us

There were 3 families (7 of us plus our granddaughter) and the cabin worked out great. The kitchen worked well for our turkey (it was Thanksgiving). The hot tub came in handy for one willing couple. Everyone played pool and air hockey. The gas fireplaces were great for heat and atmosphere. We were glad to be very close to a good grocery and to Gatlinburg. The Christmas decorations were an awesome unexpected pleasure.
The rooms were warm upstairs (heat rises) and cool downstairs. The rooms were cool at nights.
We had a hard time finding the wifi password. Tv/cable/dvd was good!
Beautiful, comfortable cabin in the Smokies!

Gentle Ben's Den is a cozy, comfortable cabin with a wonderful screened-in porch. The furnishings are nice and the kitchen was well-stocked. The only negative I would say about the cabin is that it is very close to other cabins, and there is no view of the mountains. My friends and I have been using Jackson Mountain homes for our annual get-a-way for 15 years, and they are a top-notch company that I highly recommend! Their staff is friendly, informative and extremely helpful!

Dealing with Jackson Mountain Homes has always been a pleasant experience. They are very nice people that will respond quickly to any need.
This is the first time all our children and grandchildren were able to vacation together, 10 of us in all. Gentle Ben's Den is a cozy cabin, with good amenities. It probably has more kitchen accessories and cooking utensils than any cabin we have stayed in. This was good for us because we prepared meals several times. Related to that, it is located just 2-3 miles from the grocery store. Downtown Gatlinburg is probably only 5 miles away. The beds were comforatable, making a good night sleep possible.
We appreciated that the few neighbors we had were quiet.
There is so much to see and do in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. This is one of our favorite destinations.
There were only two things we would have preferred different. It seemed that the aC on the main and lower levels were not balanced. When the thermostat was set at 75 the lower level was very cold and the main level was comfotable. To make the lower level warmer we changed the thermostat to 77 and then it was cool & comfortable. The main level then seemed warm. We closed vents in the lower level, but to no avail. To make it better, at night the windows would be opened in the lower level to let in warmer air. Looking back, we probably should have called the office. I am sure they would have done what they could to make it better.
Secondly, we would have liked the swimming pool in the community to be closer, easier to access and a little larger, like in Black Bear Falls (a Jackson Mountain Home community)

Cabin was perfect size for the 8 of us. With 6 teenagers there was plenty to do once we got back to the cabin at night with all the game tables. They had the lower level to hang out in and the hot tub was a great place to relax. Check in was easy and directions were great. Close to everything and plenty of towels and dishes.
Sooo relaxing !!!

I could not be happier with my experience here, everything was clean and nice. The kitchen is fully equipped and cooked full coarse meals every night. Convenient to downtown and easy to find. The ladies at the office were also very nice. Definitely will be making this a yearly family trip!!! Thanks

We rented this cabin for spring break and had a blast. The cabin was gorgeous and had plenty of room for me, my wife, and our three boys. The layout was perfect also with one bedroom on the third floor, one on the main floor and two in the basement it offered plenty of room for privacy while still providing room to relax. We even saw a black bear while we were there. We would definitely stay there again.
Better than expected!

Our experience was great from start to end. I found their web-sight very informative and the pictures of the cabins so beautiful. When I called to ask some questions they were most helpful, they were able to help suggest the best cabin for our plan and group size. Check in was streamline. The cabin was absolutely beautiful! More than fully equipped kitchen (ie. large crock pot, waffel maker) flat screen TV in every room, multiple DVD players (plus movie library) game room, hot tub, there was something for everyone, from the moms and the dads to the older and younger kids! It was great for that rainy day!
The location was great, close to Gatlinburg and grocery store, right off the main road. The only suggestion I would make is for a better property map to find each cabin more easily. It was some what confusing initially...but worth the find!!

We just returned last week from our Christmas vacation in Gatlinburg and had a great time. The cabin perfectly suited our needs, was decorated beautifully for Christmas, and conveniently located to everything we wanted to do. In addition to shopping in Pigeon Forge, having Christmas dinner at the applewood Farmhouse Restaurant, and spending a morning at Ripley's aquarium, we even drove back over the mountain to Bryson City to take the kids on the Polar Express Train (Great Smoky Mtns Railroad). The cabin was fully equipped for us to cook full meals (it even had a crock pot) and the kids loved the air hockey table and the hot tub. I highly recommend Jackson Mountain Homes.
Plenty of fun in a very modern cabin

This cabin has lots to do, including a hot tub, HD tvs, bar games, and even an X Box 360. We had fun in the city, but at the end of the day we were eager to get back to the cabin and relax.
Our lovely weekend away

Once we came to the home, it was completely furnished. We wanted for nothing. It had tv, videos, sheets, blankets, arcade, pool table, and looked wonderful. We were private, but near to all we wanted to see. We could cook, eat out, grill--anything that appealed to us. The house had dishes provided, grocery store nearby. The house alone was a vacation spot with the hot tub and no maintenance requirement. The house was lovely and very well planned.
The surrounding area was filled with things to do. It was not possible to do all we wanted to in our short time, but the neighborhood offered a variety of amusements to fit a variety of tastes.
I liked the comfort of the cabin the best. Unfortunately I couldn't have found it without the aid of our relatives meeting us there with a GPS. Still, we had a positively memorable 4 days.

We loved our stay at Gentle Ben's Den. It was exactly as pictured on the website--no surprises. My only complaint is that the couch is not very comfortable to sit on, but I didn't sepnd much time sitting on the couch so it wasn't a problem.

We arrived on Friday afternoon. Check in was a breeze and the cabin is located very close to the office. Snow was expected to come in that night and boy did it. Thankfully we had stocked up on groceries at the nearby Food City (just at the bottom of the hill). Saturday morning a gorgeous white blanket had fallen. Expecting to not be able to get into town, we hunkered down for the day. To our surprise by early afternoon, the road was plowed and perfectly clear. So we headed in to town. Overall there was plenty to do in the cabin and we thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities the cabin had to offer. We will definitely be stayin in this cabin again.
