All in all this cabin is a nice place to stay except for the cabin next to it can look right in at you from there 2nd floor bedrooms and balcony. The bottom floor had a musty smell to it.Really close to downtown Gatlinburg. Not much of a mountain view with all the leaves on the trees. Cleaning service does a great job.

Beautiful cabin with everything you would need in the kitchen. I love the keyless entry system. It makes things great for coming and going with different family members. It's a remote location and it truly helps to use the directions provided by the office. The porches had multiple rockers and I spent many hours rocking and sitting outside. We had a couple of storms roll in and it was the best place to sit and watch the weather.

My family and I really enjoyed our trip and Lasting Impressions. Working with Jackon Mountain Homes made everything very easy. Everything was just as they said. We were a bit concerned about the different reviews that we read about the parking situation, but we had two Suvs and had no problem. The driveway is very steep, but we didn't have any problems. Other reviews said that they saw bears every day, so we were really excited about this, but unfortunately, we didn't even see a squirrel. The cabin was very nice and clean. The kids loved the pool table and hot tub. Be aware that if you happen to be the couple that gets the upstairs bedroom it gets (and stays) pretty warm. It has it's own thermostat, but it really has to work hard to cool it off. Also, they do mention in their information about bugs, but realize that you will be in the woods and a little bit of spraying doesn't take care of it completely. Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed the cabin. We would not hesitate to go back!

Left on 06/21/2012 for a stay in May 2012
My family of 7 was extremely comfortable at Lasting Impressions. Jacuzzi tubs in every bedroom and an awesome hot tub on the deck. We felt like we were in a rustic hideaway, while at the same time having more comforts than home. We were far enough away from civilization to feel comfortable, but close enough to the grocery store and various natural attractions and tourist attractions that we were fully entertained and occupied and rarely had to drive more than 20 minutes!

As usual everthing was great. Could not have had better weather to enjoy this wonderfull cabin. We were greated when we first arrived by a wild turkey that kept a close eye on us during our stay.Everything inside was so clean and well looked after. Beds were very comfortable and we loved that there were three different levels that added to the quiteness when sleeping. It gave us all room to roam. Well stocked kitchen and great hot tub.Your staff are always so helpfull and willing to share information on the area. The only draw back is the steep driveway and lack of parking. We had two vechicles and there was no room for any thing else

We very much enjoyed the cabin. Sharing the driveway with the cabin next door was not a good thing. Parking and turning around to go back down the drive was not a good experience. But we liked the cabin enough to stay there again and again. If cabin next door was not occupied at the same time this would help a lot. It is pretty close.

Beautiful cabin with everything needed. The fireplace outside near the hot tub was very nice and relaxing. Mostly secluded with only a cabin beside you and they had no view of you out on the deck. Up in the mountains but close to town, exactly what we were hoping for. Our stay was wonderful. Only problem my 11 year old left his wallet in the bed with $170 cash. We called 2 hours after check out and it was not recovered. Hard lesson learned for a kid but one most adults have learned at one point in their lives.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Lasting Impressions. We hope that you enjoyed your stay and are sorry that your son lost his wallet. The housekeepers had not been in the cabin at the time of your call and we immediately sent someone to check for his wallet. Unfortunately, they did not find it; however, we have your information and if it is located, we will call you to return it. We have guests who frequently lose or leave behind items and we are always happy to return the items with their owner. Please let us know if he finds his wallet once he gets home (that happens often, too). We hope to see all of you again soon.

My wife and I were joined by 2 of our daughters and families for what proved to be a quite enjoyable respite from our daily live. 'Lasting Impressions' was the perfect cabin for us. Secluded yet not isolated. We were able to hole up in the cabin for the long weekend, enjoying the snow Sunday evening while sitting in the hot tub. Wonderful experience. We hope to be back.

This was the first year we have rented a cabin. "Lasting Impression" is the best way to describe it. We stayed during Christmas vaction. It was wonderful and beautiful. The pictures don't say enough about the cabin it was much more.
The first day we was there we saw eight turkeys out the front of the cabin feeding. The cabin is only five minutes away from Gatlinburg. We used the trolley to go back and froth into Gatlinburg. We are already talking about another trip next year using Jackson Mountain Rentals. -

When we arrived it was raining and continued to rain for the next 48 hours. The cabin was perfect for relaxing on the porch and watching the rain, turning on the fireplace on the porch and reading or staying inside and playing pool. There was adequate supplies. The beds were comfortable. Lots of windows to enjoy a view of the woods.

CHARLOTTE, NCBeautiful cabin but no parking
Left on 09/28/2011 for a stay in September 2011
The kitchen was stocked very well and the overall cabin was beautiful. The driveway is very steep and the parking is only feasible for two compact vehicles, or one truck. Certainly not enough parking for the amount of people that the cabin can hold. Also, there is a lack of privacy, since the driveway is shared with a cabin directly at your side.

San JoseA great and memorable family vacation
Left on 09/22/2011 for a stay in September 2011
Stayed at Lasting Impressions for a week with extended family joining us from multiple points in the midwest. The cabin was spacious, fully equipped, clean, well maintained and in a great hilltop location close to great hiking and a scenic driving loop featuring some of the best scenery in the Smokies. The staff was exceptional, honoring our every request including turning on all the gas fireplaces two weeks ahead of schedule to enjoy on the cool evenings. The beds and jacuzzi tubs were clean and comfortable. The kitchen and supplied plates, silverware, and cookware were more than adequate for fixing meals for 10. The big TVs in every room as well as the blu-ray players and iPod docks in the two main living areas were a plus as was the super fast wireless internet. And as a bonus to all that we were treated to regular sightings of bears foraging acorns from nearby trees, and a morning visit from a very cute cub. For the very reasonable price we couldn't have hoped for a more memorable and fun family get together. We'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I truly enjoyed my stay in Gatlinburg as I always do. I was a little disappointed with the extra care of cleanlinesses that I have always experienced as a serivce from Jackson Mountain Homes. There was evidence in the kitchen of rodent issues and spiders everywhere. The outside porch furniture & window sils were not clean as they usually are in other cabins.
This could totally be a one time occurance but It does need to be addressed.
When staying just request from Jackson Mhomes office staff that the cabin be cleaned and inspected after before you check in and this should take care of the problem.
I have stayed with Jackson Mountain Homes exclusively for 3 years and have never had any problems.
In regards to location; if you have a low riding vehicle you will scrap the bottom of the vehicle when turning into the drive but if you have a SUV, 4 wheel drive or tall tires you should be fine.

We will send pest control to the cabin immediately. We have also scheduled the cabin for a deep cleaning. We always love having you as our guest and can't wait to see you again!

Left on 08/20/2011 for a stay in August 2011
This vacation home is very nice. we loved the wooden interior. Spacious-pool table provided many hours of entertainment for our own four and two of their boyfriends. Also loved the two large porches and the hot tub. Only two drawbacks:the home next door is too close(shared a driveway and could easily see into their home)and was not easy to get to(roads not marked well and were very steep). but overall,we were pleased!

Our family's stay was perfect. Jackson Mountain Homes was courteous and friendly and this cabin was absolutely beautiful. The pool table and fully equipped kitchen were a definite bonus. Everyone was able to have their own floor which made it nice too. The only drawback was the driveway. It is extremely steep, so I wouldn't go without aWD or 4WD. Other than that, everything was simply perfect. It is close enough to Gatlinburg, but far enough away that it made our mountain trip all the more authentic. This is definitely a cabin worth renting!

We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Lasting Impressions. The owners took great care in furnishing this cabin so that their guests would have everything they needed to have a great vacation. During most of the year a typical vehicle can access the driveway without difficulty, unless it is very low to the ground; however we would recommend a 4WD vehicle during the winter months in case of inclement weather. We certainly look forward to seeing you again soon!

This was the best cabin we have stayed in.Everything was clean and comfortable with everything you need to cook and relax. The grill was very nice just like I have at home.Wildlife was plentiful with wild turkeys daily and a good sized black bear in the back yard.He likes to get into the bear proof ha ha trash cans at night. It is located high on the mountain away from the wild pace of town but close enough, 5 minutes when you want to be in the middle of town.We will stay here again in October.

The cabin was excellent! All of the amenities of the cabin were true to the descriptions. We enjoyed all aspects of the cabin from the furnishing in the kitchen to the pool table, hot-tub, and electronics. The view was spectacular and downtown Gatlinburg was right at the foothills! We've already been spreading the word (via facebook and word of mouth) about the great time that we had. Finally, for all that came with this cabin, the rental rate was a deal!

Had a wonderful time at our mini mountain vacation. Went with my grown children (2) and their infant daughters. The floor plan of this cabin allowed each "family" their own space. Absolutely perfect for our family. Cabin was tastefully decorated, abundantly supplied with all the utensils needed to cook for a large family, and very comfortable. Not one negative aspect to the cabin. We loved it!! We even had a wildlife show each evening with deer and bears!
