We loved our log cabin choice the minute we pulled up in front of our log cabin. It was a some what remote area ( close neighbors in log cabins also, so not too remote). Private, woods, plants, a mountainous feel. The interior of our cabin was very spacious, very tastely decorated. We chose a cabin with the interior being wood also, and it was exactly what we expected! Roomy, colorful, perfectly arranged.
We loved the view from the upstairs deck and downstairs deck. All very private. Location was great.
Black bear came down out of the mountains and got into a neighbors cooler left on the front porch. Threes darling little raccoons kept getting into our lidded metal trash can on the exterior upstairs deck, so we brought it in but no problem with that decision.
We plan to return next year, same cabin. We really enjoyed our stay and we suggest for anyone going to the Gatlinburg area to stay in the Patriot Getaways cabins as they are clean, very nice, stocked, great location, comfortable, and priced right!

We had a good time in the Smokies. It was a bit crowded but that is expected for fall foliage time. This cabin is in a great location, close to arts & Craft Community, which we loved and visited twice! I have to disagree with the name "Tranquil View". The trees block the view, but you may can see when there are no trees. The area it is in is not tranquil. The cabins are lined up all next to each other in more of a condo style. This cabin is in the fork of the road. We could hear neighbors TV, kids, and barking dogs the whole time. There is a screen on one side of the hot tub but the upper deck is wide open to look into others cabins.
The cabin was clean and well stocked with essentials..except two things: potholders (had to use a towel) and a hair dryer. It has an iron though. I don't iron on vacation but if I did, I'd want a full size ironing board, there was only a table top kind. We chose this cabin because it was pet friendly. Our dogs are very small and we didn't realize the bedroom was downstairs. So we had to carry them up and down the stairs. I could see this being a challenge for some people. Our dogs are housebroken and prefer to "go" outdoors. There is not a scrap of grass anywhere around the cabin but we did find a patch across the road. We've had this issue at other cabins too due to the mountain terrain. Not huge complaints but eldery or disabled should be aware of the stairs. The picture shows only 3 steps, but there is a steep flight that goes up L shaped from the ones you see. -

This cabin was clean and wonderful view. The pictures show exactly how beautiful it really is. I will be recommending american Patriot Getaways to all of my friends. The staff was very polite and helpful.

Pool table was in fair conditional and the pool sticks were poor. The room was nice however the veiw lacked what I thought it would. The trees in the back are quite large and block a lot of the mountain view.
Overall we enjoyed are stay the cabin was clean and we would come back. -
