Myself and the entire family came down in September as a memorial for my son. He was murdered in 09/11 and then my father passed away in 12/11. When I called I explained why we were coming and that we wanted something with a beautiful view. The lady I spoke with was wonderful and the cabin was just what the doctor ordered. I want to sincerely thank everyone at Patriot Getaways and I would highly recommend this for anyone who is hurting and needs to experience some true tranquility for soul searching and mental rest.

Had a wonderful week in the Tranquility cabin! The cabin was large and very nice. Hot tub on the deck combined with a fantastic view! We even saw two bears outside of the door when we woke up. Would love to go back:)

Beautiful location. Just 3 miles off main road. The last 2 miles were straight up the mountain. Very private area only one cabin was past ours on a dead end road. Very large cabin with several rooms. Hot tub was great. View from the top deck was great. Has large screen TV , pool table, bar area, and fooseball table in lower floor game room. Kitchen was good. Beds were comfortable. Having said that, the place needed a good spring cleaning. The ceiling are very high in the living room and kitchen area, the ceiling fan was very dirty, the huge windows on the side of the living room were very dirty, along with the ledge by the windows. I know this would be hard to cleans, but it looked like it had been months since it was cleaned. Floors were rough hardwood and in need of being cleaned, I tried but there was only a broom and it should have been thrown out a couple years ago. I could not get floor clean. I did report this to the owner in an email. They did says they would see that it was fixed. Bathroom floor was not great. Bathrooms were clean. Beds were clean. Nice jacuzzi tub in master bedroom. Tvs in every room.

Tranquility was amazing. My husband and I stayed with 4 of our friends in this cabin for the weekend. There was plenty of room for everyone. The cabin was very clean and had plenty of amenities...we were never bored. We will be staying here again. Patriot Getaways made reservations and checking in so easy. Very pleased with everything!

The cabin was great, and clean and efficient like every time i've stayed, but the rating of luxury was a little misleading. The doors had to be opened to disburse the smell of gas when the fireplace was turned on. The windows didn't look out over the view. The back door to the deck was tucked away in hiding. Consider it deluxe at best. And be prepared for a stretch of dirt road and big pot holes to finally get there. With all this said, it would not be my first choice, but I would definitely stay there again.

We received a great deal for a last minute rental and after much research we decided on Tranquility. We were quite disappointed upon arrival. First, the leather couches and chair furnishing the rental are extremely old, worn and saggy. Not very comfortable. Our master bedroom had queen sheets and a queen quilt. Both nights we woke up with the sheets pulled off the sides. We couldn't even spend much, if any, time in the basement because it is freezing. You can literally feel the breeze coming in through the back door. They do offer an electric fireplace and radiator, none of which make it comfortable to be down there. Lastly, there was a mouse running around the basement...while the lights were on and people were down there. We ended up catching it and throwing it outside. Gross.

I'm sorry that you were disappointed in Tranquility. I will be happy to check with the housekkeeping supervisor to be sure that the cleaning crew uses the correct size sheets on the bed and I'll have the maintenance personnel check-out the downstairs door. I appreciate your letting us know about that. As for the mouse...well it is a cabin in the mountain. I apologize if it frightened your guests. I'll be sure to let the exterminators know. I appreciate your taking time to let us know about ways the cabin can be improved.

Loved it. The only thing I didn't like was the gravel going down and then up that one hill. Other than that it was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend this to friends and family (already have actually)

This is a Beautiful cabin. Very roomy for the 5 of us. Had a wonderful time in this cabin. Everything you need is there to make you feel at home. Peaceful too!
