Everything about this cabin was great; the kitchen was a bit small for the number of guests, but there was another frig, microwave, etc. in the basement. The only problem was, after looking at the pictures of the cabin on the internet, we were expecting a pool at this location. The pictures make it seem like this cabin has a pool of its own. This is not the case. It is a community pool and you must drive to get there. Part of the reason we picked this place was we were bringing six small children with us and wanted an on-site pool. When I called JMH they indicated the "pool picture" was included with several other cabins as well as the amazing View. My suggestion to JMH was that the pool picture be labeled clearly as a "community pool" so others people aren't mislead as we were.

Amazing View Lodge was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with the necessities of easy vacationing--plenty of dishes and cookware; more than enough TVs; great rocking chairs on the decks; lots of dining space for our big group...etc. etc. The grocery store was nicely located so that the worst problem getting there was getting up and down the hill to the lodge. The only thing we didn't like about this vacation was the crowded conditions of the town of Gatlinburg and the parks around it. I'd rent amazing View again -- but in an off season.

There was 21 of us ranging in age from 11 to 75. This was a wonderful property with beautiful views. Everybody loved the amenities in the lodge. The lodge was very clean, and the hot tub was great. There was plenty of seating for everyone and easily enough tv's for everyone to watch what they wanted to. It was also great to have a laundry in the lodge. The commute to all of the major attractions was easy and short. This is our second time with renting from Jackson Mountain Homes and I am sure we will be back for a third time. It was great to here my 75 year old mother say on the way home "It just won't be the same waking up tomorrow and not being able to sit on that deck and see the mountains".

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Amazing View Lodge. We hope that you enjoyed your stay and apologize for any discomfort you experienced. We had a large group staying for 3 nights...Mainly young children. The 3 levels game room and movie room worked out great. We also held our small wedding ceremony on the main floor deck it turned out breath taking. Oh and the adults all loved the private bathrooms and the hot tub...very nice.
This cabin was wonderful, no complaints at all!

The cabin was everything I expected and more! The mountain view was spectacular, we really didn't have to leave for anything. The kids really enjoyed themselves with the game and media rooms. And the adults enjoyed the hot tub and being able to relax outside!

We really enjoyed our time last weekend. We had a few issues with the hot tub not getting warm but the maintenance staff was extremely attentive to the issue. A few things to keep in mind. The kitchen is very small, one stove, one refrigerator. Shared bathrooms between the bedrooms was tough with so many females in the cabin. Very few mixing bowls. Otherwise, our family had a wonderful time.

The trip to the lodge exceeded our expectations! The home was clean, well-equipped and provided the perfect mix of a beautiful view with multiple activities within the lodge itself. There were 15 members of our family present and all enjoyed the multiple levels in the home...example, some were upstairs watching a movie, some were on the lowest level in the hot tub while the remainder were enjoying a relaxed visit on the main level. It was one of our family's best vacations and was extra special as we celebrated a very special birthday with our father/grandfather in the Smoky Mountains!

We have been coming to Gatlinburg with our entire family for several years. This year we had 28 with ages from 70's to 1 year. I must say this was the best of the best.
What brought us here this year was the great reviews from "Tripadvisor" and the price.
On arriving the place was exceptionally clean and everything was in working order.
We all had a great time and appreciated the many amenities. In the future we will definitely check Jackson Mountain Homes properties first.

We had interacted with three different young ladies in the office of Jackson Mountain Homes and found them all to be excellent with their people skills. They made us feel very special. Also, there was a problem with the cover over the hot tub and before anyone in our party could call, JMH office called to see if we had any needs or problems. The view from "Amazing View" cannot be surpassed. Such a rejuvenating experience. The closeness of the pool was appreciated by those of us who used it. We cannot try to think of anything we liked the least because we would not wish to sully the memory of such a wonderful time. This trip was a family reunion that brought people together in a way that was beautiful to see. Although we plan to continue, the memory of this will always be very special.

What a wonderful trip!!! From the start... making the booking was a very pleasant experience through the pick-up of the key/code... very smooth and what a view when we got to the cabins!!! I will be passing your name out as this was truly the best cabin we have ever rented in Gatlinburg. We had 26 people in this cabin and it was very comfortable. The massage chairs were a big hit, but then so was the foosball & the air hockey!!!

Out of town Family and Friends joined my husband and I for my last child's wedding. The cabin was at the top of the mountain up from the club house, which was also amazing, used for her wedding. The staff in reservations and check in were excellent. The customer service skills were excellent.
Room for everyone to enjoy and not be under someone else's way. The King size beds were great. For those of you who haven't sleep on a pull out be aware that they are not comfortable for adults.
The massage chairs are amazing, wish every cabin had 1 or 2.
Great place to all meet and relax which we will again this year be in Gatlinburg and stay longer. Hope I can find a smaller cabin with the massage chair.
To get to this great view you have to remember you are in the mountains and the ride up is "steep", and the road is narrow. At night there are no street lights going up. But it is worth it just plan accordingly.
Some little things need taken care of which I have already informed Jackson Mountain Homes and I am sure they will take care of. I would highly recommond.
Sorry forgot need a better can opener. But the kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, and silverware.
We will be back soon.

Fantastic Weekend! Stayed here with a Church youth group. Stunning views from all balcony's. House is well equipped. Nicely furnished and comfortable. Teens loved the house and all the fun amenities. As did the adults!
The only reason I didn't rate it excellent for the reasons below.
It's a scary ride up to the place at night. Little less scary during the day. Wonder if we would have made it up there during snow or ice?
Parking is odd as it is sorta on a hill. Kitchen is nice and well equipped... however for a large group... its a bit of tight squeeze.

Setting up the reservation and check-in were a breeze. The staff was very friendly and provide helpful information. The home was clean, beautiful and the name of the cabin describes everything "Amazing" Time went by so fast no one want to leave and we are definetly dreaming about our next visit. The only negative was the steep drive up to the cabin. It was a bit intimidating for a few of us but we were advised before hand and the "amazing view" was well worth the drive.

There was plenty of space, communal and private, for us to use. We were very impressed with the accomodations. We had everything we needed. Other than that we were pleased the overall space. Read more

Stayed a week in the lodge with 17 extended family members from teenagers, young adults to parents. The accommodations are great. Very roomy. Didn't feel like we were on top of each other. The 11 teens/young adults loved the bottom floor with the pool table, tv's and hot tub. The location is great for easy access to many different activities - downtown Gatlinburg, Smoky Mountain Parks, horse back riding, etc. Would definitely consider returning to the amazing View when visiting the area again.

We did arrive from Jackson, Mississippi on Thursday evening before office closed! The check-in receptionist was very professional and polite...she even told us about her ties to ms. There were 5 carloads of us. We had a little trouble finding the cabin at first because there were no street sign on the second turn. (That was very frustrating because 5 cars had to find somewhere to turn around). The drive up the mountains was very frightening at first...but the more we went in / out made it a little less frightening. But once we arrived to the cabin it was beautiful! [I now know what to do next time re: who's going to sleep in what bedroom...we had to draw numbers...some all of a sudden developed knee and back problems...U know what I mean?] But once we got over that it was nothing but laughter and good times. 74 degrees is too hot! I'll be sure and bring fans next time. Everywhere we went, the food service workers were too slow... even at Wendy's. But overall, we had a great time! Read more
Thank you for your comment. We are happy to hear that you had a great time. Thank you for letting us know about the missing street sign, we will contact the highway department. We have had unseasonably warm temperatures this year, as much of the country has. Amazing View is just that--splendid panorama. The lodge itself, too, is exceptional. We'd recommend it to anyone. Here are few sundry comments about our experience there that come to mind off the top of my head. The parking restriction to five vehicles(?) made us think we were going to have to shuttle some family members up the mountain, but it turned out we fit all eight vehicles therein without a problem. If someone had been renting Blackberry Cobbler, though, it might have been a tight squeeze for the vehicles.
Thanks for supplying the coned coffee filters; we'd brought the flat bottomed type. Perhaps a but more dishwasher and laundtry detergent could be supplied; we ran out and had to make a special trip just for those items. Same goes for TP and PTs. Lastly two of the rockers on the deck of the 2nd floor were in very poor shape. My elder brother almost went over backward on the one that has the loose runner. But other that that, everything was first-class. We had a wonderful family reunion at amazing View, and we hope to return--sooner the better!

We had 8 familes from 7 different states that shared the lodge and all slept comfortably. 4 familes met 2 years ago in Gatlinburg in a smaller lodge and this was much more over the top. The views were great and the location was close to everything we wanted to see and do. There was plenty of TV's and Games to keep the kids busy while the parents visited so it was great for all. We had 5 families (22 people including 12 kids) in this 8 bedroom cabin. The cabin was perfect for our group. Everything worked well. There were flat screen TV's everywhere in this cabin! Plenty of room for the kids to roam and activities for everyone. We all appreciated the King beds in each room.
I would have preferred to have a 2nd hot tub in this cabin though. With 22 people, the hot tub was a 4 person tub and just wasn't enough. The kids used it much more than the adults. We definitely would've gotten use out of a 2nd tub.
About 10 minutes to downtown Gatlinburg.

We had a wonderful weekend. We were celebrating my partens 50th anniversary. My mother wanted to stay the whole week. They thought of everything when the decorated this cabin, with pool table, foos ball and air hockey there was plenty for the younger ones to do. The flat screen tvs were really nice. The beds were very comfortable. But don't sit in the massage chairs to long, after a while they start to hurt you.
The only problem with the cabin was the kitchen. The lighting was not good and it was almost to small to cook for so many people. It needed more counter space and maybe a stove with 6 burners.
We had a great time, we will do it again.
Thanks Jackson Mountain Homes, we have great family memories, this is the first time we ever done this. There was a total of 20, 29 was suppose to go, maybe next time.

This was the first time our family stayed together in the same rental property. We wondered if there would be enough space for all 29 of us(from 8 to 73 years old) to be together AND enough space to spread out. There was! We all had a fabulous time. The house was even more beautiful than the pictures online. It was spacious, immaculate, and had everything we could have wanted. The views took our breath away. Any questions/concerns we had were answered right away. Also, the property was within five minutes of downtown Gatlinburg which made it easy to go into town to explore. There was plenty to do in the area. We swam in the pool, shopped, hiked, fished, went to an aquarium and two museums, and visited Dollywood. The only caution I would give is that this property is in the mountains, so the roads are steep and winding. Amazing View exceeded our expections by far!

The view to the surrounding mountains is fabulous! The house is meticulously maintained. You are close to many activities, restaurants and sites. A true piece of heaven! I loved the massage chairs in the media room...so relaxing.
