The Bear Creek Cabin was really nice, plenty of room and has plenty of bathrooms. The game room was alot of fun. For it being such a nice clean cabin and all the bedrooms were very nice I was a little surprised at the living room furniture as it is old and very worn and didnt feel comfortable sitting on it because it looked really dirty. I would have given this cabin 5 stars had it not been for the living room furniture. Read more
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Bear Creek. We are happy to hear that you had a nice, relaxing stay! We apologize for any concern you had with the living room furniture. This was our 13 bi-annual trip for Thanksgiving to the Smokies! Bear Creek mad this trip our best ever! The hill in front of the house provided an amazing sledding experience for our kiddos (yes, it snowed!) and the single-level floor plan was perfect for our little ones. No one felt like they were on top of each other, which has been our experience with the 3 story models, and the porch out back is massive with an awesome hot tub! If we don't stay here again, it will be an identical floor plan somewhere else. Only downside, no pizza cutter - ha! Bst,

Outstanding family cabin

This was our second stay in Bear Creek, July 2013, our first stay was in July 2009. Both times were six adults and three grandsons -- in 2013 the boys were 9, 7, and 6 years of age. The game room is especially popular with the boys and with the adults. We had a relatively rainy week in Gatlinburg this year and the games provided a wonderful diversion beyond iPads and iPod Touches and smart phones for playing games. The wireless internet access worked well and was a great improvement relative to four years ago. The covered porch provided a common gathering point for socializing -- all nine of us -- when we were at the cabin during rains and when not in the Game Room. Five bedrooms and four full bathrooms were excellent for our size group -- no one getting in others' way. The large great room and dining area and kitchen were wonderful. Everything worked well. The cabin was very clean when we arrived. P.S. While we have stayed in Bear Creek two times now, we have rented other cabins from Jackson Mountain Homes many, many times -- probably 15 times or so -- over the years and have never had a negative experience. The Jackson Mountain Home organization, and the cabin owners, are excellent and provide excellent service and value.

It all starts with the service from Jackson Mountian Homes! We have been renting off JMH for the past 18 years(plus two extra for my daughter's wedding). If there is anything needed, JMH is right on it. But, this cabin is great! It was so clean and roomy. It has a nice size kitchen. Plus the owners have quality fixtures right down to having extra paper products and air freshners in the bathrooms. You also have rockers on the porch. This is in the arts and Crafts area, so you are in a cental location. The cabin is easy to get to and there is plenty of level parking. This was the second time we have stayed in this cabin. This is a great place for big groups. Ours was a girls weekend, but perfect for families with small children. Everything was just perfect as I repeat! Thanks to the fantastic owners of this fine and lovely cabin. You will just want to fold it up and take it home with you.

The house is nice. The game room is very noisy, maybe need doors or sound absorbent material. Also, the kitchen was small with one refrigerator to accommodate 20 people. Location is good and very scenic.
Needs to be updated!

The cabin is very large and everyone had their own bed to sleep in. The game room needs updating, the race car game is junk it is very dark and the screen is green and you can't even see what you are racing! The pool table is junk, it is very small and the ball are coming apart! The TVs throughout the cabin are junk! Not flat screens and what is there you can't even see the what you are watching due to the lines running on the screen! There are only Three DTV boxes controlling 6 TVs so if everyone wanted to watch something different in their own room you couldn't! The grills are junk, they are cheap less than $20 each from Wal-Mart! The bathrooms are very dated and need upgrading! The showers are nasty and the sprayers don't work! The only thing that was somewhat nice was the hot tub! The cleanliness of the place needs some help! There are cob webs all over the rooms, there was pop corn all over the kitchen floor. We moved the sofas to have more room in the great room and found under them so much nastiness it made me sick! Read more

The cabin is beautiful and very spacious. The setup was exactly what we were looking for and location was great. The only issue we had is that the hard wood floors were dangerously slick in some places. We moved rugs over the most traveled areas however on the night before we were leaving my two year old slid down leaving her a black eye for a week. She was wearing nonskid slippers which were not able to help. I reported this to the office for correction however never heard back. I hope the problem was corrected for the next guest!

We loved the cabin! The space was great and everything worked! We will definitely look at booking this cabin again. The only problem we had was the Tv's in the bedroom did not all have the Direct TV remotes but we worked it out. We loved the hot tub and the game room.

Nice 4 br / 3 bath cabin with a forest view - not mountain view. Ample parking (with extra driveway) and beautifully decorated. Tv selection left a lot to be desired. The hot tub placement was odd - a parking lot view on the back porch. 2 stacked washer/dryers; however only 1 dryer worked. The arcade room is nice with a air hockey table, mini-pool table, race car driving game and a pac man game (didn't work). Beautiful fire place! Well equipped kitchen and beautiful decking. Read more

We have stayed in numerous cabins of various sizes over the years and found this cabin to be one of our favorite. The one level cabin was much larger than we expected and we all loved the design. It was semi-secluded and yet we found the location to be convenient. All of us enjoyed sitting on the front porch or relaxing on the hugh deck. We cooked in a lot and found the kitchen to be well stocked. It was a wonderful week that went by much too quickly. Our family hopes that this cabin is available when we visit again.

We have rented many cabins from JMH and this is our favorite. Here are a few reasons why: secluded but easy to get to location; single level is easy to regulate the temperature, nice layout with lots of space, front porch with swing and rockers!

We brought a youth group for the MLK holiday. Snow prevented us from getting to a chalet on Friday night. The staff at Jackson Mountain Homes went out of their way to help us get in a chalet. Once in the chalet the experience was awesome. Thanks Jackson Mountain Homes for helping make our weekend a complete success.

The facility was well equipped with all the necessities of home. The only problem was the TV reception in the bedrooms. Some could not get any channels. The channels available in the living room were limited. Other than that, the place was fantastic. I plan to rent another cabin from these fine people in the future.

the cabin was clean and well stocked. i have stayed at several different ones over the years and by far this was the best. i loved the layout of having multible beds in each bedroom. it suited out purpose with extended family members sharing rooms but having their own bed to sleep in without having to crash on the floor with air mattresses or sleeping bags. the outdoor space was perfect with both a front porch and rear deck. We will be back!!

Really enjoyed the cabin. Had a very "cabiny" feel. Size was deceptive, much larger than it looks. Plenty of sleeping room, bathrooms, and games for our crowd of 18. We really enjoyed the open family area and kitchen, fire place and front porch swing and rocking chairs. Secluded and quiet, convient location. Had a lot of fun. I would recommend this cabin for any family on a budget. There was no mountain view, but you are surrounded by mountains! A real value for the money!

Our family from TN, OH and CA got together in this large and clean home. The highlight for the kids was the gameroom where they spent much of their time when we weren't out and about in Gatlinburg.
The location was just far enough to feel out of the way, yet close enough to the attractions in Gatlinburg and Dollywood.
The fireplace was a nice touch, the kitchen nicely outfitted and the beds comfy. The adults enjoyed hanging out on the spacious deck.
We didn't get a chance to use the hot tun, but it was nice to have the option.
I would stay here again!

There were 20 ladies on this trip - we had plenty of space, could've used another restroom, or two. We made it work! The unit was family friendly and cozy. We truly enjoyed our stay.
A comment made repeatedly, the bath towels need to be larger. Other than that no complaints.
A little ways from city of Gatlinburg, very nice once you got there.

This is the second time we've stayed at the Bear Creek Lodge, WOW it was GREAT! We carry our grandchildren and just relax and have fun with them. We found the Lodge to be decorated wonderfully, very comfortable and really clean. It was well equipped and missing only one little can-opener, of which the caretaker brought to us right away. Everyone enjoyed the big outdoor hot tub and of course the pool table. There was so much to do inside the Lodge, that the kids would play games especially pool until wee hours of the morning. We hope to return year after year to this wonderful lodge.

The service we received from Jackson Mountain homes was awesome. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. We loved the location and the layout of the cabin. We were a bit disappointed in the location of the community center we thought it would be much closer. The supplies were adequate to get us settled in. The game room was a definite plus. The weather was great and finally we had a chance for all of us to get together.

We had a wonderful stay! There was plenty of space for the 14 adults. The place was equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen and elsewhere. The game room and hot tub were especially enjoyed. There was not internet access and only limited cell service, but I wouldn't count that as a negative! We enjoyed morning coffee on the front porch.
The directions to the cabin need to be updated. Once we found it it was easy to access. It was easily accessible to the Arts and Craft loop, with a trolley stop near the end of the road.
The reservations staff was very pleasant and equally helpful. We did have a small toilet problem but it was attended to promptly.

Our family loved Bearcreek. Since we had young children having a cabin that was one level was exactly what we needed. The rooms were spacious, the bathrooms were large as well. It was situatied on a road with little traffic that allowed the older kids to go out and play. I wish there had been a doof between the playroom and the rest of the house as when in use it can get very loud and reverberates through out the house. The hot tub was nice and large. Overall it was a really nice cabin for the price!!!

There was a large group of us who have been trying to get away for 2 year and found the perfect cabin at a great price. The 1 flood made it nice, we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. The game room was enjoyed by all and the large table and the stools in the kitchen made meal time nice for us all. We did lose power for a while but was the electric company problem nothing to do with the cabin itself. We are hoping to come back next year!

Our stay at Bear Creek was wonderful. The cabin was exactly how it was pictured. It had ample room for all of us that stayed there. Everything was in good working condition (with the exception of a blender). Beds were very comfortable. There was ample supplies of towels, etc in each bathroom. All in all it is a beautiful cabin. Was disappointed that the hot tub had a bad odor to it so didn't use it but once. Also there could have been some more space for our food items. Not enough garbage bags for the "little" trashcan under the sink. That could have been bigger also.
The stay was great. The kids loved being able to get out and play in the yard. Don't find many cabins there that have a yard to it. The front porch with the rockers was wonderful. Quiet road. Only a couple of cars went by. Had a raccoon visit us every night on the porch. Close to town. Would definetely consider it again when we come back.
