Cincinnati, OHWe love Bear Slide!!
Left on 05/08/2013 for a stay in May 2013
Every year we four ladies head to the Smokies and we have stayed in Bear Slide 3 times! I think it is our favorite cabin and suits our needs, with four separate bedroom suites. It is beautifully decorated, kitchen is quite roomy and it is easily accessible to the highway. We always stay with Jackson Mountain Homes and their website allows you to view the cabins, floorplans, and read all the reviews. We would all definitely all stay there again.

Huntsville, ALWell worth it...
Left on 03/04/2013 for a stay in February 2013
This cabin by far surpass any and all expectations that my group and myself had!! The linked stereo system throughout the entire house was phenomenal... the rooms were awesome, It was clean (although there was an issue with ladybugs, which was clearly communicated). The only downfall was that we did not stay long enough to take advantage of all the different amenities!! Would definitely go back!!

Louisville, KYA wonderful mountain retreat!
Left on 09/13/2012 for a stay in August 2012
This cabin was beautiful, clean, well furnished, and fit our needs perfectly. The view of the mountains was amazing. The cabin was bigger than we expected and we had 5 adults, 2 teenagers, and 2 infants staying there and it still felt spacious! We will stay there again if we go back one day!!

Left on 04/01/2012 for a stay in March 2012
Best cabin I've stayed in thus far. 2 large flat screens, 4 great bedrooms, so it doesn't matter which one you choose. Don't let the picture of the separated tub fool you, it's pretty big. My only complaint is the parking. The driveway is pretty steep and it was a little difficult to pull into. Getting 3 cars into the driveway was a little tough and one had to park on the incline. But overall the cabin itself was amazing.

Flowery Branch, GABest accomodations in the 10 years of annual weekend trips
Left on 02/15/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We've been spending extended annual weekend trips with a group of other couples for the past 10 years now. We all agreed that this was the best cabin and at the best value that we've stayed at yet. Great mountain view, room in the hot tub for all, well and tastefully decorated, plenty of room, spacious kitchen and excellent wet bar down stairs. Parking's a little tight for 4 cars but manageable.

Georgetown, KYIncredible cabin, great location, perfect vacation spot!
Left on 01/12/2012 for a stay in December 2011
Totally impressed with the staff at the office, super-nice!
We absolutely loved this beautiful cabin! It was perfect for our two families. We had a room for each couple plus rooms for the two teenagers (downstairs so they could stay up as late as they wanted!). Our two small children stayed in the parents room, which was very roomy even with a pack and play set up and a toddler aerobed inflated.
The kitchen and living area layout and decor was fabulous, the view from the decks beautiful. The media offerings were impressive and the sound system throughout the cabin was incredible.
Our only disappointments were 1) it was not decorated for the holidays, and we spent Christmas Eve and Day there. 2) that there was no ground floor entry to the bottom level and the (steep)staircase leading down to the bottom level was situated just off the kitchen in the main living area. The staircase does not have any sort of door or gate, thus we were constantly following our two year old around to make sure he didn't accidentally fall down the steps. An aesthetically pleasing version of a "baby gate" would be helpful here.
Otherwise, perfect for our holiday getaway! -

Murfreesboro, TNWe had an amazing time!
Left on 01/12/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We came with a group of 9 adults and had a fantastic time! The house itself is absolutely beautiful. We almost felt like celebrities in it! The location is great, too. The neighboring cabins aren't any bother, and we had no problems with anyone in them. We have no complaints about our stay, at all. I will say, though, that if you go with a large group, don't be the last one to take a shower unless you like ice cold water!

Bynum, ALGreat family cabin
Left on 11/03/2011 for a stay in October 2011
As always the cabins in Black Bear Falls are Exceptional!!! Clean, spacious, beautifully decorated. The bedrooms and bathrooms in Bear Slide are so 'big' and not 'cramped'. Loved the unique bathtub on the first floor. The kitchen pots and pans do need to be replaced, need and electric can opener and maybe electric grill would be nice.

Left on 07/06/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Out vacation experience with Jackson Mountain Homes was fantastic. From the first contact to book the cabin through our check-out, everything went smoothly and easily. The staff there is the best in making you feel welcome. Bear Slide, the cabin we rented, was an absolute gem of a place. We worried about the photos online depicting the true state of the place. Actually, the cabin was even better than we expected. It was a very comfortable place and an easy drive to all the attractions in Gatlinburg and the National Park. The whole family is still talking about sitting out on the cabin's deck and enjoying the fantastic views of the Smokey Mountains. We will definitely be back to stay at the Bear Slide.

We've stayed in cabins through Jackson Mountain for about 5 years now and you always know what you're going to get - a very nice house with lots of luxuries, a fast and easy reservation and check-in process and knowing you don't have to worry about anything because the incredibly nice people at JM will take care of it.

Left on 05/05/2010 for a stay in April 2010
My 3 friends and I absolutely loved this cabin. It was beautifully decorated, very homey, clean. And I was absolutely thrilled because I did not see so much and one bug. (Last year had horrible centipedes in Komfy Kozy). Anyway, we all loved it and hope to stay there again next year.
Sincerely,

Cincinnati, OhioWonderful Weekend!
Left on 04/21/2010 for a stay in April 2010
We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Bear Slide for the weekend. The only thing we would change is to stay longer. The cabin was perfect; close to the Gatlinburg strip, but far enough away to enjoy the calm, quiet of the mountains. Speaking of mountains, the view was incredible! High enough up to see wah seemed like forever.
We will definitely ba back soon!! -

Left on 11/13/2009 for a stay in November 2009
My family had a wonderful stay at Bear Slide. The cabin was wonderful, plenty of room for 4 families. The amenities were the best ever. We have been comng to Gatlinburg for 23 years now and have raised three children coming to the moutains at least 2 twice a year. By far the best yet. The view was wonderful. We have always stayed on the Ski Mountain side but have now changed and will be coming back to Bear Slide or at least a cabin in the Black Bear resort.
