The whole cabin experience was excellent! The kitchen was stocked with every kind of pot, pan, dish, you could want. Tv's in every room and the movie theater room was just great. Liked it was less than 10 min. from downtown and other towns were so close. Did find some food junk down the couch but you could probably find some in mine.Over all it was very clean. The washer and dryer was a plus as I like to pack lite and girls do use up the towels. Towels were small for the hot tub, could not wrap them around you and sit on the deck. Would definitely rent this cabin again.

Very quick and simple check in. Cabin was easy to find, although the ride up the mountain was challenging the first time (as it should be!). Was very close to downtown Gatlinburg. Was high up with a beautiful view of the mountains. Cabin was very nice and at the end of the road. Excellent sunrises and sunsets. Pet Friendly. Game room, movie room, outside picnic tables, and hot tub. Stayed right when the leaves turned and one night it snowed. All this and bears! Came right by, nosing around. Was very enjoyable for my family.

If you want a great view of the mountains, a more than adequately equipped kitchen, a charcoal grill and smoker, comfortable arrangements, and nearby grocery store and shopping; this is the place for you and your friends.
It is having all of the comforts of being in the country and being in the city all in one location. Squirrels, recoons, and bears; oh, my! Yep, we saw them all along with other wildlife, right out the lodge's front door.
With the location of this lodge, you can be as busy shopping, hiking, or relaxing as you want to be.
Give yourself a break and visit the Bear's Eye View.
Comfortable, relaxing, we had a wonderful stay.

As we traveled, we realized we would be arriving after office hours. We called and someone very helpful informed us how to get our key and directions to the home. We were very pleased with how clean Bears Eye was and that it was welcoming to come in and feel comfortable after our long ride and it was late. Bear's Eye is a beautiful home with wonderful amenities. We had 8 people in our group ranging from 50's to 1 years old. There was room for us all and so much to do,from the game room to the movie room, or best of all was spending time on the decks enjoying the view and sounds of nature. The location is very convenient to the grocery store and the park. We did use the by pass when going to the park entrance. What we liked least was the cell phone tower. I am sure that was a disappointment to you when it appeared. Progress, right??? But if you sit just right with the columns on the deck in front of you it disappears :) Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

We normally use another company to book our cabin stay with, but this time we found Jackson Mountain Homes and I'm so glad we did. Check-in was super easy and fast. We found the cabin no problem with the directions and the location was perfect. The cabin was exactly as described plus more. It was spacious, so we didn't feel like we were on top of each other the whole time. The beds were comfy and with 3 sleeper sofas, there was enough room for everyone to sleep. The cabin is located at the end of the street, so on one side you have woods and on the other is anouther cabin, but it didn't bother us one bit. The view was amazing. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone.

Our group of 10 just finished staying at Bear's Eye View and it was really wonderful. This cabin is great for big groups and it gives everybody plenty of room to spread out. Its a very well taken care of cabin, very clean and all details in place. We also liked the great views and the fact that is was at the end of the road and had spacious lot. We would all highly recommend!

We loved the cabin, and would like to come back next year. However, we would like to the mattrices and pillows upgrated. We would also could not believe that there was no high deft television. We will call next year before we book to see if these corrections have been made. As far as Jackson Mountain Management is concerend that do a fine job.

This is the second home we have rented from Jackson Mountain Homes and we were very satisfied!! You are only minutes away from downtown Gatlinburg.
Everyone enjoyed the theater room!!! Great place to have a family Thanksgiving.Loved it...There is so much to do

The home was beautiful, immaculately clean and in an excellent location. Moderate to good privacy but it's the last home on a dead end so it was never an issue. We saw a bear our first night! We were only four but it will easily accomodate more.
The home is laid out nicely and well appointed. beautiful kitchen, comfortble beds and the kids loved the hot tub, pool table, air hockey and especialy the theatre room. We had the best weather of the season so we weren't inside much but when we were we were completely comfortable and you could easily stay that way if you were in because of weather or just laying low for a day. One of the only cabins we saw hat has a nice side yard with picnic area . A unique feature amongst the rugged terrain in general. If I had voice any concerns, it would be only that there are no dressers in the bedrooms in which to settle for a longer stay so we worked out of out suitcases for the most part and the main Tv's are too high (on the fireplace mantles) to watch comfortably but we didn't watch much TV anyway. Regarding everything else, we couldn't have asked for nicer. The folks at the rental company were nice and easy to work. efficient and very accomodating. Over all I would reccommend it to anyone and would certainly stay here again. Cheers!

I rented Bear's Eye View and I felt like I was home. The cabin was extremely comfortable and well kept. All of the rooms were perfect. There was enough of everything. I also loved the view. I haven't been to Gatlinburg over 20 years and I was there for my son's graduation from UT and I truly enjoyed myself. We did see some bears so the cabin name fits it well. The picnic area was beautiful. I would truly recommend everyone to stay at Jackson Mountain Homes. Also in closing, I will be back. The family is already deciding on the date. Thanks for such a great experience. Sonia

The website does not do this house justice. It is absolutely magnificent. My family of 10 and I enjoyed this home immensely. The game room and the movie room were big fun for family night. We loved that it was not too high in the mountains but high enough for a breathtaking view. I will definitely stay in this home on my next visit to Gatlinburg. The home was immaculately clean and had the amenities of a five star hotel and more. The staff in the office told us everything we needed to know to ensure the best trip possible.

We had a wonderful vacation at Bear's Eye View. It has an awesome view of the mountains which we really loved while enjoying our coffee. The home theater got lots of use as well as the hot tub. We all had a fun time and enjoyed the privacy of being "away from the main drag" and yet close enough to be there in minutes if we so chose. Definitely a great cabin to relax in and enjoy! There was a problem with one of the air conditioning units and the office was prompt to send someone out to check it and get it repaired --- even on Memorial Day!

The information I received over the phone was accurate and professional and friendly. We were late arrival and the directions we received were perfect with no hassle. When we arrived at the cabin, we were very pleased. It was beautiful! The pictures do not do it justice. We had our family of 6, another family of 4, plus a senior and we had plenty of room for privacy and fun! Location is convenient, just remember when the directions say "sharp curve to left, they are not kiddin!" Plenty of linens and well-stocked kitchen. Can't wait to go back

Loved it! Second stay. Very spacious even for our party of 9. Great views from the decks. Ample parking for 4 cars. Great privacy since this house is located on the hilltop and is the last house on street opening to the woods. Easy access to downtown Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the Park. Saw a bear from the deck. Media room was a hit as was air hockey and pool table. Cooked out on available charcoal grill one evening. Enjoyed the gas fireplaces. Could improve by upgrading TV feed in main room to full HD.

We enjoyed our stay in Bear's Eye View. Yes, we did see bears. The cabin was spacious with room for all of us. It was a family gathering that was enjoyed by all. We had a new baby in the family so it was a little more low key so we really enjoyed the home theater. It kept the adults and grandkids happy with little effort. We saw a bear family more than once and had a close encounter with a big pappa bear. Still, something the grandkids will talk about a long time because they have the pictures to prove it. Thanks Jackson Mountain Rentals.

Bear's Eye View is a nice cabin for families with kids with a wonderful mountain view from the back porch. Unfortunately, if you are looking for a mountain retreat, this is not the place. The cabin is a at a dead end but you are within 20 feet of the next cabin and there are at least 10 cabins within the a quick walk and many are within view. In addition, you are less than 1.5 miles from the main road and can hear traffic while on the cabin porch. Also, you can easily hear your neighbors from any of the cabins in the morning, afternoon or night. So, if you are looking for a retreat this is not the place. If you are looking for a fun cabin for kids with quick access to downtown Gatlinburg (less than 5 minutes), this is the place!

I am the mother of twins. My husband and I planned to throw a huge 16th birthday bash for our children when they decided they would rather take a group of friends to the mountains for a weekend. My search began. Our stay at Bears Eye View far exceeded my expectations. The teenagers (and adults) had such a great time they begged to leave downtown and return to the chalet! No one wanted to leave when our weekend was over...they begged us to allow them to "skip school" on Monday so we could stay one more day! (For the record...we did not!) We liked this home so much we are already planning to return with our extended family for a mini reunion and we have promised the kids another visit in their near future. Thank you Jackson Mountain Homes and Bear Eye's View for a 16th birthday celebration my children will never forget!

We were celebrating our grandsons 8th birthday. Even though the weather was not great because of the rain the children all had a great time. They throughly enjoyed the air hockey table and the theatre room. We visited Dollywood which was not crowded and they got ride on everything and not have to wait in long lines. We had 6 adults and 6 children ages 8 to 18 months. Even though my husband uses a cane to walk he still was able to enjoy the house and the decking. We would like to come back in the spring and bring our son and daughter in law and their 5 children. We would definitely stay at another Jackson Mtn. Home.

Statyed at Bear's Eye View for an extended weekend. The house's name sure doesn't lie, as we had a black bear at our front door the first day of our arrival (around 3pm). The house is very nicely decorated. Location is a bit tricky, (unmarked roads), but the directions provided got us there without missing a turn. Very convenient to downtown Gatlinburg (about 5 minutes). The kids loved the air hockey table and theatre room. PlayStation 2 only had 2 games (Motorcycle racing and Texas Hold'em). Our bed and pillows weren't the greatest, but the others in our party didn't seem to mind. Probably better suited for adults, as there was really no outside play area for kids and lots of steep steps (although this is probably typical of a chalet). Overall, we were pleased and would definately rent again!

The cabin was outstanding...one of the nicest we've stayed in. It was decorated beautifully and had a nice view. We had family members age 2-82 and there was something for everyone to do. Might consider a new can opener (didn't work at all), definitely more pans (need large pans for 16 people), better mattresses on the pull out sofa beds, and more garbage containers outside. We loved our time at this cabin! Read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was spacious and clean. There is a very nice view, so we enjoyed relaxing on the porches. The layout is designed so you can enjoy some privacy, yet the common areas are open and large so you're never crowded. The vaulted ceiling is beautiful, and the floor to ceiling windows offer a great view of the mountain. Jackson Mountain cabins are conveniently located, just minutes from shopping and restaurants, but when you're at the cabin, you feel miles away from it all. We plan to visit again, and we'd recommend this Jackson Mountain home to anyone.

JMH was a pleasure to deal with. My only suggestion is to re-work the map to the cabin. Lots of un-named and un-marked roads!!
Everything about the cabin was exactly as advertised. We all enjoyed the pool table, hot tub, air hockey, and most of all the awesome theater room!! The family/great room is perfect with it's high ceilings and wall of windows looking out to the mountains!
I wouldn't hesitate to rent B.E.V. again or use JMH should when we re-visit the Smoky Mountains!!

Bear's Eye View was by far the nicest cabin we have rented. The views are spectacular, the cabin was clean, the pool table, air hockey table, and the theatre room kept the kids busy all week. The cabin had all the necessities to make your stay effortless. The cabin was located just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg which made commuting a breeze. The cabin is located at the end of a road which gives you some privacy even though there are some cabins close by. Everyone at Jackson Mountain Homes made us feel right at home and did everything to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. I would definitely rent this cabin again and would highly recommend it to anyone. The only problem we had was initially finding the cabin. The roads were not marked sufficiently so it took us a while to find the cabin. However, once we did, we spent one of the greatest vacations ever.

They were beautiful and it was wonderful since several of the group had never seen a live bear.
The cabin was very beautiful nice and clean. I was very quite and peaceful, just a very nice place to spend time with family. Everyone is looking forward to staying there again sometime.
It was located on top of the mountain a little difficult to get to but we didn't have any trouble. It had tv's in every room a hot tub on the deck. pool table air hock game , movie theater whic we all enjoyed very much.
We never met anyone from the homes just talked on phone and used computer It was very nice,

The people at Jackson Mtn Homes were great and very easy to deal with through the whole process. I was able to email the contract, pick up the keys after hours, and they offer great deals. Then you get to this beautiful cabin that is better than the pictures make it out to be. There was plenty of room for everyone and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the mountains. To top it all off, our group had 6 children under three so we brought wipes to sanitize but were amazed by how clean the place was already. I would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

The view was fantastic and we all really enjoyed the video room. The only issue we had was cleanliness of the unit, which I found very unusal for Jackson Mountain Homes. Exterior and interior of stove was awful and mattress in upstairs bedroom needs to be replaced as each person rolls to the center slump. Blankets on beds were dirty as well. We've rented two other units in the past and they were always outstanding in cleanliness. Read more
Thank you for your letting us know about the cabin. We will have the stove/oven deep cleaned immediately. We apologize for that oversight. Also, we will have the blankets pulled for laundering. We do apologize again and hope to see you again in the future!

The home we stayed in was clean and very beautiful. Wonderful location, not around to many other people and we loved it. Just close enough but not to close to Gatlinburg. Our checkin was done very quickly and efficiently, any questions answered and directions given to the property. The map could be improved, ie no street name or house number was given for the rental, and some of the street markers on the roadway were missing. The house was very nice, large and airy. It was very clean and everything was in good condition. The location was great, at the end of a dead-end street, and the view was fantastic! Kitchen was very functional, had what we needed. Hot tub was clean and operated well. Everyone liked the pool table and air hockey games, and the movie theater was great for evening entertainment. Biggest complaint: Chests or dressers should be added to the bedrooms .. there was no place to put folded clothing except to hang in the closet or leave in suitcase, difficult when you stay 7 days. We had a major problem with one of the central ac units, took 5 days to repair, but Jackson MT. Homes did the best they could under the circumstances to help cool our lower level! All in all a very enjoyable rental home in the mountains, and a very efficient and courteous office staff at Jackson Mt. Homes. We would rent from them again in the future. Read more
Thank you for your comments. We are sorry you were inconvenienced during your but happy to know that you were well taken care of. We will pass along the dresser suggestion to the cabin owner. Thank you again! Looking forward to seeing you again!

Our family has stayed in a Jackson Mountain Homes "cabinet" (our middle grandson's name for "cabin") each of our annual fall trips - 2009 will be our 11th year! 2008 was our first year in Bear's Eye View but the grandkids unanimously voted to rent it again in 2009 - the whole family especially loves the theater...we all watched Gone With The Wind together - it was the first time the grandkids had ever seen it and I (Nana) was especially glad they got to see it on a 'big screen'! This whole cabin is absolutely wonderful and beautiful. We can all sit around the huge dining table for meals and games too! Our only suggestion would be to add some sort of window dressings that can be closed to shade the living/dining area in the mornings as the sun can be blinding and VERY warm! Other than that, the cabin is perfect and we are looking forward to Fall '09!
