It was a very pleasant stay @ Cub's Corner. Ample space and amenities in the Cabin for 3 families. No hassle for guests arriving after office hours.
Cabin is filled with all required amenities and we enjoyed staying there. View from the Porch is fantastic. We felt @ home!!! We will choose only Cub's Corner again next year.

Whenever we begin to plan our stay in Gatlinburg, I always begin with Jackson Mountain Homes. The ladies who work in the office are super friendly at all stages, from making reservations, checking in, and any questions or concerns that may arise during our stay. Our favorite cabins to stay in are at Black Bear Falls. The cabins are always clean, and the view and amenities are exactly what you expect. The worst part of our stay is packing up to leave our favorite place!
Excellent vacation and fantastic rental

Cub's Corner is a cozy cabin with an awesome view.

The cabin was clean and cozy and had a great deck with an awesome view. It was short drive to downtown Gatlinburg, the Craftsman community, Pigeon Forge and the entrance to the park. It was also close to a grocery store. The cabin could have used some updating but it was clean and comfortable which was most important to us. The staff at Jackson Mountain Homes was friendly and helpful throughout the rental process. This was the fifth time we rented a cabin through Jackson Mountain Homes and they have always pleased us with their service.

This is our third stay at Black Bear Falls via Jackson Mountain. Each has been an excellent experience in all respects. I will certainly book through Jackson for our next visit.
Great Home, great location

Cubs Corner was an excellent place for our group of five to stay. Very clean and well maintained. The inside is nicely decorated with everything you need for your stay, linens, towels, dishes. It was like staying in our own private hotel. It has a gas fireplace, and flat screen tv in the living room area. Every bedroom has a tv, all with basic cable. Kitchen has a full size refrigerator and dish washer. I think a group of six would have plenty of room in this house without feeling crowded. The location is very nice. The exterior photos make it seem as if you are secluded on a mountain top , but in reality the house is situated in a 'gated community' with many other log homes. At first I didn't know how I would like this but it is layed out nicely so when you sit on the deck you really dont notice the other homes. The location is also very quite, at least when we stayed there. It is about a 5 -8 minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg where all the tourist type of shops are, not within walking distance, but I liked that. It was much quiter and peaceful without being too far from the attractions. It is also a short easy 5 minutes to the National Park. Jackson Mountain homes are a first rate company to deal with. We got there after their office closed for the day due to horrible traffic in Pidgeon Forge. We called them to say we would be late, and they had everything we needed waiting in a small office with a key coded door we could access. They called the first morning to ask how we liked the home, and if there was anything we needed. Check out you basically lock yhe door behind you and leave. Overall I would recommend this home and I plan on staying there again in the future.
peacful and serene

This was the first time that I had stayed in a cabin in Gatlinburg and it was absolutely magnificent! The cabin provided everything that me and my husband needed for the perfect "mini moon". The view we woke up to every morning was just so beautiful. It was peaceful and serene. We could not have imagined staying at a better place. The cabin provided everything that we needed so that we didn't need to leave if we didn't want to. It was truly a blessing to be able to stay in such a place that gave you a little taste of God's beauty in nature.
very nice cabin

We and 2 other couples rode our bikes down and stayed in Cubs Corner. The cabin was very nice and clean. Breathtaking view and very comfortable and roomy even with 6 of us. The beds could have been a little softer, but that is a personal preference. The cabin does have flat parking for those of you who are riding bikes, however, the climb through Black Bear Falls to get to it was a little hairy. The dragons tail had nothing on the ride through Black Bear Falls. Lynda and her staff at Jackson Mountain Homes were all great and very courteous and helpful. I would recommend them for any stay in this area.
Great cabin, relaxing, and incredible view!

Our stay with Jackson Mountain was no hassle and an easy relaxing experience. The cabin was clean, comfortable, relaxing, and all around peaceful! It is located perfectly for the experience someone wants but also easy to access. Could use some better flashlights though! It had some plug in flashlights but none seemed to work properly, which was a drag when we had our visiting bear!

We had used Cub's Corner previously. The two couples with us had never stayed in Gatlinburg, much less Black Bear Falls. They were expecting it to be very rustic...they were very pleasantly surprised and we all enjoyed our stay immensely. We'll be back. One comment concerning maintenance: I noticed a separation in the floor covering between the refrigerator and the door to downstairs. It should be fixed before it gets any worse. This has probably already been noted, but just in case...
cub's corner is comfortable and convenient.

Jackson Mountain Homes was so easy to work with. They were very helpful in answering my questions about the cabins that would best suit our needs (we travel in Corvettes that are built low to the ground so it was important that we had sufficient ground clearance). Cubs Corner was perfect for our group. With three couples the three bed, three bath cabin could not have worked out better. The mountain view was spectacular and the cabin was outfitted with all the things to make us feel like we were at a home away from home. We would not hesitate to stay again on our next trip to the Smokies.
Excellent accomodattions and staff

First the view from Cub's Corner was awesome. Everything was clean and plenty of room for 5 adults. The staff knew we were traveling several 100 miles and called on my way down to make sure all was going well. The day after check in they also called to make sure all was good at the cabin.
Community was located 5 minutes from Gatlinburg, but only 2 minutes or so from a trolley park and ride. Only appx. 10 minutes from the arts and Craft District and maybe 5 from a nice Food City Grocery & gas.
Whereas cabin was close to things was still like being in the mountains as the community was up and away from the tourist life.
Did hiking within a 1/2 hour and even for Memorial Day ran into few people (though the roads were busy).
Beats a hotel any day and I would stay with Jackson Mountain Homes again.

We stayed at Cub's Corner in Black Bear Falls from 3/28/10 through 4/2/10. Cub's Corner offers a spectacular view of the Smokies. Also, we were very impressed with the maintenance provided by Jackson Mountain Homes (JMH), as the cabin was spic and span. The Black Bear Falls community is very accessible; just a safe 5-minute drive to the main road. Overall, we were very impressed with the cabin, Black Bear Falls community, and JMH. We will definitely consider staying at Cub's Corner again, or any other cabin within Black Bear Falls managed by JMH.
We love staying at Black Bear Falls.

Cub's Corner had everything we needed. We had stayed there one other time so we knew it would satisfy our needs. The cabin is lovely and the view is fantastic. We bring our grandchildren every year and they really enjoy the pool table, hot tub, and tv's and dvd/vcr's. The pool is very nice, clean and not too crowded. Overall it is a great place to stay. We always book a cabin at Black Bear Falls for our get-a-ways.
Too crowded for us

Nice place, very convenient, but the units were too close to each other for our taste. The partiers in the unit above us stayed up until 6am one night shooting fireworks and hollering like rednecks. next time we will find a place in a more remote area. Read more
Thank you for your comments. We are sorry you were inconvenienced by a neighboring properties. Typically this doesn't happen in Black Bear Falls. However, Jackson Mountain Homes does has several other properties in and around Gatlinburg that are more secluded! Keep us in mind for future vacations!
