Relaxing, as always.
This was our 7th trip to one of the cabins on this property. To explain how good it is, we have already reserved a better part of a week next fall.
The cabins are always clean. The bed almost too comfortable. I wanted to sleep in and to get out early to hike in the park.
We'll be back!
The staff was friendly and accommodating. The cabin was very comfortable. The view was fantastic.
Love the Hot Tub!!
Great retreat! Hot tub & fireplace was a definite plus! Hot tub seemed very clean & chlorinated. Not a fan of the bed at all. Make sure you have detergent for the washer/dryer inside the unit as were not provided. Brought my own bath/beach towels. The bathroom had dark, shabby green bath towels. Full size fridge had off odor but looked clean. Cabin at the end of a steep hill and would not be a friend of ice or snow. Gets very dark outside & you would want to get to this cabin before sundown to orient yourself as I first arrived after 3am. Fireplace perfect. Bedding for extra couch bed very limited. Giant hairy spider came out of bathroom drain so I kept the bathroom drain closed during my stay. No place to keep shower items as two tiny ledges barely holds a travel size bottle of shampoo each. Bring something to hang from the shower if you don't want to leave items on the shower floor. Wasn't sure if the CO detector near the fireplace was working as there was no light & when I pressed the test button, nothing happened. The unit had paper towel & toilet paper, dishwasher soap & a tiny sponge. If I found a great price I might consider again. Grill was only a tabletop & nothing to write home about. Beautiful wooden swing on front porch. View of the mountain was very nice. Read more

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Eagle's Nest. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and apologize for any problems you experienced. We will have the refrigerator assessed for any odors and have a pest control company treat the cabin. We will also make sure the CO detector is working properly. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and your understanding. We offer wonderful specials throughout the year, so be sure to check with us often. We hope to see you again soon!
Pleasant fall surroundings
Our overall stay was pleasant as usual, we have stayed at this cabin numerous times and have been coming to the Smokies for over 20 years. Our only disappointment this year besides the low fall leaf color was that the gas fireplace did not work when we arrived nor did it work when we left 8 days later. It's understood these things happen but this should have been addressed promptly before our arrival. Would have been nice to have the the fireplace working since the weather did turn cold while we were there. I hope the next renters are enjoying the fireplace. Read more

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Eagle's Nest. We are glad that you had a pleasant stay and apologize that the fireplace was not working. We will have the fireplace assessed for repairs right away. It is truly unfortunate when something stops working unexpectedly. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and your understanding. Again, we apologize and hope to see you soon.

My wife and I throughly enjoyed this little get away. I am originally from TN and always love to come back home to visit. This is the second time we have stayed in a Jackson Mountain Home property with absolutely no problems. Just breath taking views and awesome amendities.
We spent a week in an immaculate, private cabin with a great view
My husband and I needed some time away from the hectic life we live. The Eagle's Nest was the exact place to come. We had peace and quiet. The cabin was snug and so very clean. We enjoyed the porches and rockers/porch swing. The hot tub on the porch was amazing as well as the jetted tub in our Master Bedroom. The King sized tempurpedic mattress was so comfy. Relaxation beyond measure. The short scenic drive to the arts/Crafts area was awesome and area eateries were delightful. We plan to return again. Kudos and thanks to the owners for letting us stay in a first rate cabin for a reasonable price.
Had a great relaxing time in the mountains of TN. Excellent service, everything was there that we needed and somethings were there we didn't expect. Everything seemed clean and had a cozy feeling about it.
The only negative things I would have is some of the kitchen items could be updated but honestly didn't use them that much to even matter. The other item is the narrow driveway leading up to the cabin. It is paved but I drive a dually and had to really cut the wheels to make a few turns to reach the top. Once we were there the rest of the experience was great, we plan to return (we might rent a car though since Gatlinburg parking for a dually is not very nice either).
Probably one of the best retreats we have taken. The cabin was perfect! Exceptionally clean with everything we needed. We loved the hot tub. It was secluded so very private even though there was a cabin nearby. The view was beautiful. We highly recommend The Eagles Nest for any couple looking for a time to be alone and refresh.

Eagles Nest Stay - a 3.5 star event
The cabin itself was excellent, no complaints there. The bed was fantastic. It had a charcoal grill but it was a small tabletop model. I love to cook full meals over fire. That was not an option here at all, there was only room for the meat.
The location of the cabin didn't work for us. It is at the end of the road and far enough away from the adjacent cabin to give you privacy. But...the lodge cabin was directly below the back porch. So much for peace and quiet when 3-4 families are having a good time. You didn't see them but the sound carried right up to the cabin. Our reason for going to a cabin is to get away from the noise and action of our daily lives and enjoy the sounds of nature. When the lodge was empty we had it (2 nights) and then it was lost.
To break it down, the cabin itself was a 5 star. Everything was clean, looked good, and worked. The location was a 3. Had the lodge been empty the time we were there it may have been a 4. I was expecting it to be a bit more isolated based on the information I had. Check-in was OK. Having to go to an office to get your "packet" when the doors are keyless didn't make sense. Leaving the packet and emailing/texting the code would have been nicer.
Would I recommend this? It would depend on who I was recommending it to. I have friends who would be fine here and those that would not. I hope this helps you decide.
Oh yeah, no bears seen. :(
Heaven on Earth
Our experience at Eagle's Nest was wonderful. The cabin appeared to be brand new in reflection of it's upkeep and cleanliness but yet it was settled into the mountain as if it was always there, magestic and peaceful. The view of the mountains was excellent as was the 360-degrees of the cabin. The surrounding area was graced by wonderful studio's and artists to discover. The whole experience was fantastic and could have never imagined anything better from our viewpoints. Thank you to Jackson Mountain Homes for a truly marvelous vacation! Sincerely.
The stay was nice, but not as amazingly perfect as the 'Naughty
Overall this cabin was nice, but there were a lot of little items that stopped the stay from being exceptional.
- Tiny shower/bathroom - shower not recommended for someone over 5' 2" tall.
- Tiny, crusty grill that was barely usable - needs a new grate at minimum
- No wine glasses, but there was a cork screw opener (had to go buy some glasses)
- Kitchen pots, pans, utensils were a mis-matched hodgepodge of items. Had to be creative at times to make due. Would some non-stick pans hurt!?
- no screens on doors/windows, was not able to enjoy the fresh mountain air inside. :(
- No blinds on some of the back windows, the privacy feeling would have been nice
- Hot Tub destroyed some of our clothes by decoloring it. The cabin owner was going to stop by in the morning to see, but he was unable to make it prior to my required departure...He seemed like he didn't really believe me. I found that the lock ring on the floater was not 'set' so this level could have changed by itself. Not sure if this was the problem or not, but never had clothes stripped of color in a hot tub before. It was only about $30 worth of clothes, so I chocked it up as a loss.
- The bed was very comfortable and is the one item that was absolutely perfect.
- Location was nicely secluded with a partial mountain view.
Everything else was satisfactory Read more

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Eagle's Nest. We apologize that it was not as amazing as your previous stay. We will have the grill and kitchen stock assessed. We apologize that the cabin owner was not able to make it to the cabin before you departed. The hot tub sign at the cabin states that guests are responsible for checking that the floating chemical dispenser is set at #4. This will help to maintain the proper chemical level in the hot tub. The sign also warns that the discoloration of certain fabrics may occur in hot tub/jetted tub/swim spa/pool. Again, we apologize that your stay was anything less than perfect and hope that you will choose Jackson Mountain Homes for your next vacation or getaway.

The cabin was beautiful in a relaxing setting.
We will definitely rent from you again! Everything was simply fantastic!
Eagle's Nest: Exactly what we hoped for!
The booking process with Jackson Mountain Homes was simple and informative, and we received immediate email confirmation. The cabin was immaculate and well appointed with an appropriate mountain theme but not overdone. We had a fireplace, hot tub, and wifi. The location was private but very close to G'burg and Great Smokey Mountain National Park was very accessible. There is a grocery nearby. We would easily rent the same or a similar cabin from JMH. This one bedroom was excellent for two but did accommodate up to 4 using the sofa bed.
If you want to feel you are away from it all, than this is the place for you. You have the best of the best, you are still close to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg within mintues. My husband and I was celebrating our 30th year anniversary and it was perfect. You do have another cabin that you can see but it is far enough away to be private. This cabin is at the end of the drive which makes it nice because there isn't anyone driving by. The only problem I can think of is the road to the cabin very steep so if is was in the winter months you better have a 4wheel drive. We was there in april and still brought our 4wd just in case. The hot tub on the back porch was wonderful on the cool nights. The cabin was very clean and very well maintained. We did not have any problems at all. Would rent again from this company.
After many years of renting cabins in the Gatlinburg area, we finally found the perfect cabin. Spotless, accurately photographed and comfortable. Great location away from noise. We loved our stay here and plan to return. Jackson Mountain Homes are the best!!!
The cabin was amazing! We had snow the whole time, which gave the place an additional charm. The location is great, being close to what you need plus the view is beautiful. We loved the hot tub once we got the temperature figured out. The only problem we really had was working the coffee maker. (Definitely need to update this, but it did make for a good story.) Altogether, we fell in love with the Eagle's Nest and plan to return.
Everything we hoped for and more
The Eagles Nest is situated in the beautiful Smoky Mountains. The day we arrived was very foggy and there wasn"t much visibility, but when we awoke the next morning the skies had cleared and much to our surprise we had the most fantastic view from our back porch. The rest of the stay was 1st class fun. We will definitely go back. Thanks to Jackson Mountain Homes for a great vacation.
Cabin was all we hoped it would be. Clean, up to to date, and off the beaten path.
Our home away from home
My husband and I have been renting this cabin every year for six years and we look forward to many years to come. The Eagles Nest is the perfect location for a couple looking to get away and relax. The location is secluded but also just minutes away from downtown Gatlinburg. Although, with the great view, the cozy fireplace, the hot tub and the tempurpedic mattress on the king size bed why would you want to leave the cabin?
Wonderful and restful
Staying at the Eagles Nest was a very pleasant experience, starting from service and ending with the view. Said view was as wonderful as promised, the cabin was clean and nicely furnished. The area is quiet and peaceful, but still close enough to Gatlinburg to provide all necessities.
And of course, hiking in the Smokies was the best part, as was coming back to a nice and pleasant cabin to rest. I can only recommend staying here.
David and Lynn Carden
A delightful experience
Eagles Nest is the perfect location to get away from it all. It is the last property up the road so there is no-one overlooking you. The views are stunning. We never tired of waking up and looking out over the Smaokey Mountains. Rocking chairs and hot tub on the balcony with great views, a swinging chair on the front porch and a great cabin - what more could you want. It is 15 minutes outside Gattlinburg and the National Park and there is a good supermarket 10 minutes away.
Peaceful and refreshing!
We spent a wonderful week at Eagle's Nest! We left a hot and dry Indianapolis and found a refreshing site at the cabin! So quiet and private! The view of the mountains was gorgeous! We experienced rain on some days but it didn't matter as it was delightful to sit on the swing in front or on the rocking chairs on the back porch listening to the rain. Everything was very clean when we arrived and we found the cabin very comfortable. We were delighted to find so many things providedn(utensils, laundry facilities, iron, etc...)Towels were plentiful! The soaps provided were a little small and there was no shampoo but this was not a problem as we had brought our own just in case. The cabin's situation, in the arts and Crafts section, was also great; we could not only visit quaint shops but also find eating facilities without having to go into town. The proximity of a grocery store at light 3a made it very convenient as well.
This has been a wonderful experience we would not hesitate to enjoy again in the future!
We stayed 4 nights here and loved it, the view was awesome and it was very quiet, always nice to get away from home, definitley ready to go back again, it was our 25th wedding anniversary, the place was clean and we loved the bed, very rustic which i liked.
Cabin was great - clean and decorated tastefully. Wish shower stall was larger. Location is convenient and surrounding woods are spectacular. Have stayed here twice and probably will return in the fall.
We decided last minute (weekend before) to come down on Easter weekend. We had seen the cabin before and liked it so when we found out it was available, we booked it.
We got there late so we called and made arrangement for late check-in. Found everything as advised for our stay. Staff at reservations and customer service were outstanding as always. Couldn't have asked for better help.
Cabin was better than we had thought. The bed was wonderful! Only dislike was the shower. Too small. End of driveway made it very easy for stay. Great location. Wonderful view from back deck. Fantastic weather.
Plenty to do around Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge to stay busy. Had a great time!
We will be back!
Thanks Jackson Mountain Homes for a great place to stay.

Peaceful and Serene
My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Eagle's Nest in March 2012. It was wonderful! It was very clean and has a great mountain view. We came for relaxation and it was a perfect atmosphere. We look forward to staying there again! We have stayed in several Jackson Mountain Homes and we appreciate their kindness and helpfulness.
Lucky to find this cabin....
A wonderful retreat from reality.
This cabin is the best place to be to get away from every day life and a place to reflect on what's next in life. A big smile comes across my face as I pull up to the cabin, there's one there as I leave because I have been in a quiet, beautiful, and calming setting with the most beautiful view, very close to Heaven on earth...
Mount Airy, NC
Wonderful, quiet & relaxing get-a-way!
From the time I made the phone call to reserve the cabin to the time we checked out everything was simple & easy. We had to do the late check-in which was so organized & easy. Then, we arrived at the cabin. It was just what we were looking for secluded, very clean and neat. We really loved everything about this cabin. Great sleeping bed, easy turn on fireplace, hot tub with a wonderful view of the mountains. Location was perfect, you were not right in town but not too far away. The only thing we didn't like was having to leave. We wished we could be there every weekend!

Need more stars to rate this one!!!
From the start -- with Michelle on the phone -- to our arrival and stay -- this was a spectacular experience. I told Michelle of my priorities... she made recommendations... we reviewed them on the web... we selected the Eagles Nest. Everything -- absolutely everything was as advertised or better! I am not a fan of memory foam mattresses, but that was the only minor matter. Everything else was clean, comfortable and beautiful. Everything a person could want was there -- even a knife sharpener, which I employed on my pocket knife! One other matter -- beyond anyone's control of course -- it rained all four days. But we reveled in the solitude, the comfort and the pure enjoyment we experienced! To everyone -- thank you! We plan to come back!
we will be back
everything was perfect, the view was great, the cabin was perfect
i would be a little carefull renting this cabin if there was snow or ice
Cozy, relaxing, beautiful get-a-way...wishing I was there now.
This was one of the most relaxing vacations that we have ever experienced. From the majestic views overlooking the porch to relaxing in the hot tub to just being lazy by the "easy-on" gas fireplace, it was just perfect. I loved the seclusion of this cabin. Checking in and out at Jackson Mt. Homes was also a breeze. Wishing I was there right now...but I will return.
Beautiful view and cozy cabin!
We enjoyed the cabin! Very cozy... beautiful view!
Cabin was clean on surface. The view from on top of mountain was beautiful. The hot tub was very relaxing. The bed was the best thing I have ever sleep on. When I had to move end table so I could use lamp to see, there was evidence of mice droppings and chewing. I know that it is very hard to keep mice out. Our overall stay was wonderful, but did not like all the traffic on main streets. Read more

Very well maintained homes in remote areas. All amenities were as described in the description. Very nice view all around. Will definitely like to visit again !
Relaxation at its Best
We have been staying in this cabin for five years now and I love it more every year. The weather was very rainy during our last stay but if you have to be cooped up this is the place to be. Centrally located, private, clean, intimate. The only thing that could be improved upon is the size of the television. With all the other advantages a small tv is nothing to complain about.
Hazleton, IN 47640
Loved the privacy.
Walked in to Jackson Mtn. Homes around 4pm and asked them to help pick a small cabin for 2 nights for my mother and I. Very last minute. Lady was very helpful. Cabin is on top of mountain top and very private. Nice view of mountains from deck. Cabin was very cozy. Well kept and clean. Mentioned a couple of small concerns to office when I turned keys in and I'm sure they were addressed. I would rent it again if I came back with one other person. I love Jackson Mtn. Homes!!!
Lake City, TN
Privacy and comfort
The only problem we had with this cabin, is the shower is to small, other than that, we loved it. It's perfect for a romantic getaway. It's private, clean and comfortable. The last time we were here, we stayed in the cabin next door and they are identicle. We would stay here again.

Great home away from home!
We spent our honeymoon at the Eagles Nest, and it was week to remember for sure! This was our first visit to the Gatlinburg area so we picked this cabin off the internet not knowing anymore than what the reviews told us. Turned out to be exactly as portrayed! Fabulous view of the mountains from the back deck. Spent many evenings sitting in the hot tub looking at the amazing view with a glass of wine in hand! Also loved the front porch swing! First thing we noticed on our arrival is how clean the cabin was! Every inch of it was decorated and cared for beyond what you may expect. We got to meet the owners during our stay and they were very welcoming and gave us some good travel / site seeing advise! The bed... is fabulous! It was hard coming home to our traditional matress! We did have neighbors, but our cabin was the last one on the road at the top of the hill and with the leaves on the trees, we really couldn't even see or hear the other neighbors. It was very quiet and private! (which was an important amenity for us.) Although we would like to invite another couple to travel with next time and decided it would be perfect for them to rent the Doves Nest within walking distance down the road, which is a nearly identical cabin, while we return to the Eagles Nest. The location of this cabin is also very convenient to Galinburg and Roaring Fork motor drive (which we did nearly every night and got to see entire bear families!) but yet was out of the chaos of the traffic on the main route between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg! It was the perfect location. We had a wonderful time for sure and will be back to this cabin to relive a memory of a great trip!

Our stay was amazing. Everything was very nice, clean and well kept. Very much worth the trip.
Relaxation in Seclusion
My wife and I planned a trip to the Great Smokey Mountains and were looking for a unique, private place to stay. We found Jackson Mountain Homes through our search and were impressed by the number of homes they offered. After narrowing down several homes I spoke with a JMH rep over the phone to determine the best choice. We settled on Eagles Nest.
The top priority after realizing most of these homes would be well-equipped was privacy. Eagles Nest is the last house at the end of a private drive, not far off of the Gatlinburg arts and Crafts Trail. The closest neighboring cabin, while visible through the many trees, is hardly noticeable, and is the only building visible from the house. The home itself is nicely furnished, and the king-size Tempur-Pedic bed was a joy to sleep in. The view from the back porch is incredible, especially enjoying it from the hot tub. We brought our own food to cook, and the kitchen was serviceable to our needs.
Our 4-night stay was over too quickly, and we were wishing we had booked longer once we left. We would definitely recommend Eagles Nest to any travelers looking for a lovely getaway.

A beautiful escape
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the Eagle's Nest. It was a much needed escape from our busy lives. The drive up the lane was an adventure but we survived every time, even in the dark!!
The cabin was so cozy and private. Since it is at the end of the drive it was very quiet. The cabin was very clean and nice - as all of Jackson's cabins are! We loved it.
a little disappointed
Although Eagle's Nest was nice, we much prefer Falcon Crest. Even tho the two places are listed as being the same size, Eagle's Nest was considerably smaller. I did like the view from EN - we saw more birds and a greater variety than we had at FC in the past. We like the lication of the cabins. The check-in was efficient as always-just not our first choice for cabins next time.
Recommendation would be after talking to person about cabin.
Relaxing and Comfortable
The cabin was a nice place to return to after a long day of hiking, shopping or driving. We had a full week at the Smoky Mountains and it was nice to come back and relax in a comfortable setting.
A Peadeful Getaway from Reality
The Eagle's Nest is the perfect private Cabin to getaway and Share Memories as well as make new ones. It is Beautiful inside and out. This was the second time we have Rested and Enjoyed this Cabin, and it won't be the last. Also the staff who leases out the Cabin make it very easy to check in and make you feel welcome even if it is just talking to them over the phone. Thank You...
This cabin is wonderful. We have probably stayed at close to a dozen cabins through the years, and this one is the best. Clean, comfortable, and a wonderful view.
We really enjoyed this cabin and its location. I couldn't think of a better place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Would recommend this stay to any couple. This cabin was very smaill and quaint. Ideal for a couple to spend quality time together.
Great place beautiful area had a wonderful time relaxing alone.
Could have not asked for a better place to stay, everything was top notch.

Cozy Cabin For Two
Eagles Nest was a perfect cozy cabin for our 22nd anniversary! Great porches for enjoying the beautiful view and privacy since it is at the end of the road! Jackson Mountain Homes staff are great! We found the cabin very clean and well supplied with everything we needed! Hope to stay in Eagles Nest again! Very comfortable bed!
A very nice place to stay, however I was not happy about the tv not getting local channels or even CBS. The hot tub was the best one that we have had on vacation, and the bed was real nice. The people at Jackson Mountain are the best. Thank you. Read more

Thank you for your comments. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We apologize that the TV didn't receive the channels you would have liked to have. We will forward your comments to the cabin owner so that they may assess the possibility of expanding their cable package. We hope to see you again soon!
Excellent cabin for 2
We enjoyed our stay at the Eagles Nest cabin. It's perfect for 2 people (really not suitable for more than 2). Close to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge & Smoky Mountains National Park but far enough off the beaten path for privacy. There is a cabin next door and several others close by but it's still pretty private. The indoor jacuzzi tub looked inviting but we spent all of our tub time in the outdoor hot tub. The only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that internet access is not provided.
As for Jackson Mountain Homes, the staff was great on the phone and in person. The check-in process was very fast, everything was ready for us when we arrived.
All-in-all we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at Eagles Nest again.
Calvert City, Kentucky
We really enjoyed our stay at Eagles Nest. We've never cared about hot tubs before, but enjoyed this one while watching a sky full of stars. The cabin was very clean and we felt at home immediately.
Absolutely loved everything about this cabin!
The "Eagles Nest" was the most adorable cabin ever! It was perfect for me and my husband's weekend getaway! Words just can't describe how lovely and clean this little cabin was! Nothing was out of place, the bed was so comfortable and the hot tub was absolutely amazing! I would recommend the "Eagles Nest" over and over again and we will for sure return in the near future! Thanks for a wonderful experience!
We found Eagle's Nest to be a wonderful getaway. Very clean. Loved the jacuzzi tub!!!! Would definitely recommend it to friends and family. Hope to stay there again in the future.

Cold Tennessee Trip
We loved the cabin and view was unbelievable. Overall the price was right for the six night stay. We will be going back in 2010, most likely end of summer. For some reason you always remember the little things that bug you. The dryer door would not stay closed, so we had to keep it close with a suitcase while it was running and even then took for ever to dry clothes. Trash pickup was only done at the end of the trip, so daily we would have to drive to office and drop off.
We will still recommend this this location to all of are friends and family. Read more

Thank you for letting us know about the dryer. We will have it checked immediately.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to your return!

Orchard Park, New York
We found Eagles nest on the net. We spoke to Jackson several times on the telephone and they were very helpful. The Cabin is awesome! The photos on the net depict the cabin just the way it is. No deception at all. The cabin sits on top of the hill and is somewhat isolated from other cabins offering nice privacy. The view is awesome from the back porch and hot tub. Views from the bedroom are great too! The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It does not take much to settle in and enjoy the place. Access to Gatlinburg is good as well as to various areas of the park. We were there more for the park than shopping or restaurants but there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy those things as well. We were fortunate to encounter a black bear on one of our hikes. He initially crossed our trail while hiking in Cosby about 30 yards ahead of us foraging for food and we got some great pictures. The traffic in October, especially on weekends, is bumper to bumper and slow. Traffic during the week does improve depending on what time of the day you travel. All in all, this was a great location and and cabin and we would highly recommend it to anyone who is adventerous or would like to just kick back for some quiet time.
Fort Thomas, Kentucky
We always stay with JMH. We had a great time. We have stayed at Falcon Crest before and decided to try one of the other homes in that little group. We like the area and ease of getting to and from those homes. However, the bathroom was very small and the shower was tiny for myself let alone my husband. I wish it was roomier. There was no place to put my shampoo or body wash. And the lighting in the living area was very sparse. I wish there would have been another lamp. Also, we could not figure out the tv. Couldn't find a local tv station for local news or weather. The home is well taken care of and very clean. We feel safe in the area also. Thanks for asking our opinion. We'll be back soon. Read more

Thank you for your comments regarding the shower and the lighting. We will forward them on to the cabin owner. The satellite TV can be tricky and because the location of the cabin local channels are not available on the satellite programming.
The owner was happy to receive your suggestion wanted to let you know that they have installed reading lamps and higher wattage lighting. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Eagles Nest Getaway
We travel to Gatlinburg each year around August. After reviewing many cabins in the Gatlinburg area we found Jackson Mountain Homes. Having a large selection of cabins we chose Eagles Nest. The cabin was extremely nice, very clean, well maintained and semi-secluded. Staying in the Arts and Crafts Community was different than others we stayed, much more relaxing, plenty to do close by. Grocery and fast food not far off either. We did venture to town a few times, however most was spent looking thru the many shops in the Arts and Crafts area. We paln on staying at Eagles Nest again in the future, the only drawback is the new development close by, some of the seclusion is lost. Maybe more trees will bring the total seclusion back. Other than that downside, the cabin is well worth return visits.
The Eagles nest is a very neat, clean and charming place to stay. The secluded location is a real plus. We were a little skeptical about the overall experience at first. You know how good the internet add and brochures can make everything look and sound perfect? Well folks in this case you get exactly what the add sells. A well maintained secluded and romantic little cabin tucked away in the woods with about everything in it that you could think of needing. All of this at a reasonable price and within minutes of downtown Gatlinburg. You cannot go wrong with this on if you are looking for a liitle peace and relaxation.
Very cozy and relaxing
We really enjoyed the awesome cabin and beautiful view!! Very comfortable bed and great hot tub and jacuzzi! The only thing that I would recommend would be more lamps in the bedroom and the living room. The ladies and the sweet yellow cat at Jackson Mountain Homes were very helpful and welcoming!
This cabin is the cleanest cabin we have stayed in during our 26 years of renting cabins. It has a very comfortable bed and a well stocked kitchen for varied cooking needs. It is fairly secluded with no close neighbors. It is the last cabin on the dead end road leading to it. The cabin has great porches. One has a swing and the other a hot tub with a gorgeous view.
The lighting in the cabin could be better and the bathroom is quite cozy. These are minor issues that would not prevent me from returning. It is a great place to have a romantic vacation. The cabin is very well maintained and has a new feel to it. We will rent the same cabin again in the future.
Lovely Cabin with a perfect view
We loved our trip to Gatlinburg. My husband is from TN and wanted me to see how it was out there.
The cabin was awesome and the view was better than we had expected. The first few nights were wonderful, peaceful and serene. The cabin was perfect for what we wanted. We enjoyed every aspect of living out in the woods in a cabin. All the ammenities we were promised were available and working. We spent nights on the porches just hanging out, but then the large cabin down the hill from the front door became occupied with loud rambunctious partiers which kept us locked up inside. I truly wish that the cabins were more secluded/seperated and I couldn't walk out front and see/hear inappropriate public displays from a bunch of drunk men.
FYI MANAGEMENT: Replace the worn out floor mats in this cabin (kitchen/front door), they are slippery and dangerous. This will cause someone to fall and get hurt. Read more

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry you were inconvenienced by neighboring properties - typically those cabins are very quiet and the spacing between them more than adequate. We will pass along your comments regarding the floor mats along to the owner of the cabin. Thanks again.
Cozy with a great view
We really like Eagles Nest. It is very private with a great view. The hot tub is in a great place and the inside whirl pool bath also has a great view. We really like the matress as well. The cabin was also clean with plenty of towels, linens and pillows.
Two minor problems, the tv is not much (however you really don't need it) and the grill has seen its better days (that is a little more of a problem).
The location is also awesome. We found some great gifts in the arts and crafts district. Also, you can go to Greenbrier and hike up to Ramsey Cascades. What a great time. It is 8 miles total, so plan on taking plenty of water and lunch, but it is great. It is just a couple miles down Hwy 321 away from town. Read more

Thank you for your comments. We will forward the information regarding the TV and the Grill on to the cabin owner. Thanks again!

Quiet and relaxing!!!
The cabin was even better than the pictures on-line. Very clean and comfortable. The view is fantastic and since it is the last cabin on the road, very quiet. It has everything you could possibly need and then some. Love the indoor and outdoor hot tubs. The only thing I would suggest is a better light in the livingroom and local news channels.
I would stay here again in the future!
Fantastic view! and comfy Tempurpedic Bed
Eagle's Nest is nestled in a secluded spot and yet is just about a mile off of Glades Rd. The mountain view was majestic, especially looking out the picture window from bed. The cabin was very cozy like most cabins in which we've stayed. The one thing we hate about most vacations, though, is returning home exhausted and with sore backs because of cheap beds and sofas. Not so this year! The bed and sofa made Eagle's Nest stand out for me. This is the only cabin we've found with a Tempurpedic bed, so don't reserve this cabin when we want it **smile** (we have a Tempurpedic at home and once you've had one, no other bed compares). Most hotel and cabin sofas I've sat on are low quality and have no lower back support. The sofa at Eagle's Nest is the quality I would choose when buying for our home. The owners' attention to quality in these areas is a testament to the overall quality of their cabins and the vacation experience they offer.
P & L
Stayed at another Jackson Mountain Homes property several years ago, and when we decided to get married in the Smokey Mountains, I immediately knew where to look for our cabin. We were not disappointed. Eagles Nest cabin was very clean, comfortable, and had many of the extras you expect, and even some you don't expect, for an effortless vacation away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Eagles Nest cabin is very well maintained and one can tell its owners take great pride in the property. Simply stated - there was nothing that needed to be changed or made better for our week in the mountains. The view from the private deck is spectacular and changes often as the weather and sunlight or moonlight change. We plan to again escape to the mountains someday soon, and we hope Eagles Nest will again be available - and if not, I'm certain we will try another of the many cabins offered by Jackson Mountain Homes.
Wonderful Gatlinburg Cabin!
My husband and I went for a long weekend, and we had the most wonderful time!! Great location, high above the Artist Colony in Gatlinburg. The cabin is furnished perfectly and comfortably, and the mountain scenery from the windows is breathtaking!!
We hope to return next fall.
Great getaway in a great cabin
This was our first trip to gatlinburg. After full days of driving, hiking and sightseeing, eagle's nest was a great place to come back to and relax in. The hot tub and jacuzzi tub were very relaxing and the fireplace was romantic, although a wood burning fireplace would have been better. The cabin was the last house on the street so there was no traffic at all to distract us.
Comfortable, Private Cabin
This cabin is always nice and clean. We love the privacy it offers. The sunrises are beautiful. Your staff are always very friendly and helpful. The only thing we would like to see added to this cabin is a TV in the bedroom. We plan to visit again soon.
We have stayed in several Jackson Mountain Homes and all are great but Eagles Nest is a favorite. Love the location-secluded but not far away from many activities.

Eagles Nest is a peaceful dream. We stayed here 12 years ago, and still look forward to coming back. This was our longest stay and I wanted to cry when I left to come back to the real world. We will get a mattres like this one in the near future. The staff of Jackson Mountain Homes are helpful and wonderful. I will not go through anyone else.

Look forward to visiting again!
We spent our 22nd wedding anniversary at Eagles Nest last May and
it was everything we needed it to be. The cabin was comfortable
and inviting. We appreciated being able to use the automated
fireplace complete with timer - other rentals will not permit
fireplace use this time of year. It was great for cool evenings or
mornings. A lot of our time was spent on the deck - having our
morning coffee, relaxing in the hot tub, enjoying the view and the
sights and sounds of the mountain. Supper time found us cooking
on the grill and eating at the picnic table. The jacuzzi in the
bedroom provided relaxation at the end of the day or a nice start in
We found all the shopping we needed at the bottom of the
mountain, without going in to town, but there was trolley service to
downtown if you wanted to take in the view on the way.
The entire experience was perfect for getting away from all our
everyday stresses to relax, re-connect and celebrate our many
The staff at Jackson Mountain Homes are the best we've
experienced - they're professional, helpful and as friendly as can
be. At Eagles Nest we came, had a great time, and didn't have to do
the laundry before we left. This was a requirement in other cabins
we visited that were not a part of Jackson Mountain Homes.
One of the best parts was the small raccoon that visited one
evening and "posed" for pictures on the deck and gazed through
We can't wait to visit Eagles Nest again.

Peaceful Eagle's Nest
We have known the owners for many years, and I used to live just down the hill. All the rentals at A'Quaint Place are spotless and elegant with great facilities and beautiful views. Also very peaceful and quiet most of the time. Any tme we stay in one of the Parrish's cabins we want to stay twice as long and come back soon. Just be sure to check out on time or call the rental managers well in advance if you need extra time.
This was a wonderful cabin--great view, quiet and private. We LOVED the tempurpedic mattress and hope to get one ourselves someday--thank you for letting us try this! The cabin was comfortably furnished and was all that was promised. I would definitely stay here again.
Everything we were looking for!
We loved our stay at the Eagles Nest!! Everything was clean, which is really important to me and the cottage was nice and private. We even saw bears outside our door one night. That created quite a bit of excitement for us!! Thanks for a great, great vacation.
New Smyrna Beach, FL
An overall perfect vacation.
From the moment we arrived at the cabin it couldn't have been better. The property management group had excellent customer service and even allowed us to check in a couple of hours early since we were tired from the drive. We arrived to see the amazing view of changing fall foliage. During the stay it snowed up by the cabin and in the mountains, but the city never saw a flake. It was great to be able to have a taste of both seasons at one time. The bed seemed strange at first due to the mattress, but once you fell asleep it could have not been a better night's sleep. I have never vacationed outside of the tropics and was pleasantly surprised at what I was missing. The coziness of the cabin paired together with the hottub, fire place, and views led to one of the most intimate vacations a couple could take. I would stay here again with no hesitation and thank you for the memories.
Very Nice Cabin
I have rented cabins from Jackson Mountain Homes Several times. I find this cabin to be one of the nicest, along with its sister cabin "Falcon Crest", cabins in the area.
Would gladly rent this cabin again.
