Nice chalet with a great view. The bed set up worked well for us. The upstairs two bedrooms both and king beds and the downstairs two bedrooms had two queen beds each. However, the beds were so soft that my husband described it as "sleeping in a hammock". As previous reviewers have mentioned, the lighting in the kitchen/living room area could use some improvement. For a chalet that sleeps 16 people the common area was very small. There was one couch and one chair in the LR because that was all that would fit. Granted the dining table is almost right there and there are stools at the kitchen counter but we still felt that area was small. There are large windows at the top of the chalet on the street side and there was another chalet on the hill directly behind us so that when they were on the deck they could look directly into this chalet. Our biggest complaint is with the alarm system. We shut off the system when we initially entered the chalet. That evening our sons were trying to connect the Playstation on the lower level and believed they had to change an input wire to make it work. It set off an extremely loud alarm outside of the chalet that could probably be heard by everyone in Black Bear Falls. The monitoring company called, the alarm company called. We were told it was because they "tampered with the TV". We called JMH and were given numbers to shut it off. The numbers did not work. They did not tell us that by entering these numbers it armed the system again. Then the calls started all over because someone opened a door. Then the phone kept ringing and when we answered it no one was there. Then the lady from the alarm company called and yelled at us because we kept picking up the phone. She said she was trying to reset the alarm through the phone system and we kept answering it. She had never told us that she was going to do this and we should not pick up the phone! The alarm went off for 30-40 minutes at approximately 10:00 p.m. Read more
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Eagles Point Lodge. We hope that you enjoyed your stay and apologize that it was anything less that perfect. We understand that everyone prefers a different level of mattress firmness and are sorry to hear that this mattress was not as firm as you would have liked. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the tamper alarm on the TV and for any communication problems with the alarm company. We have not experienced a problem in the past; however, we have since installed a sign asking guests not to move the TV or cables. Again we apologize for the unfortunate incident and sincerely hope that you will choose Jackson Mountain Homes in the future.
Wonderful Cabin, convenient location

Jackson Mountin Homes was very easy to work with regarding weather, late arrival, etc. The cabin was wonderful! Clean, well stocked, nicely appointed. We were attending a wedding and the cabin was in close proximity to the chapel while also being close to the grocery and main parkway through Gatlinburg. It's on the upper side, near redlight 2a/3 so away from the traffic. We had a party of 11 so the separate baths for each bedroom was great. We would definitely stay here again.

This is my 3rd visit to Gatlinburg, my second stay with Jackson Mountain Homes. What they advertise is what you get. It's wonderful!!The lodge was just as described, filled with all the amenities. My daughter in law loves to cook, and we ate 3 meals everyday at the cabin and she had everything she needed to cook those delicious meals. It was secluded enough, but not to secluded to know that others weren't having as much fun as we did. The decks and sauna are awesome. Even had a grill for a great barbecue, and the pool table and xbox where great for entertainment. I will definitely be looking forward to my next vacation and will request Eagles Point Lodge!!
Just like the pictures

Our family rented this (as we were there for a wedding) Looks just like the pictures on web site. Had plenty of room for us all. The only thing the showers in the basement are very small.(a cubical) Jackson Mountain Homes was very easy to work with as far as renting & check in. Would love to get some couples and go for a long weekend. If you want to be in the mountains, this is the place ;)

Our stay at Eagle's Point Lodge was fantastic! The accommodations were excellent and the mountain view was amazing! Jackson Mountain Homes was great to work with and it was nice to have everything included in the cost (linens, towels, cleaning, etc.). So many of the cabins we looked at had hidden costs.

Eagles Point Lodge was way better than our expectations. The view each day was worth the trip to Gatlinburg by itself. Jackson Mountain Homes are excellent to deal with through the entire process. The ammenities at the cabin - kitchen adn housewares, hot tub, Tv's, all were great. The kids enjoyed the pool table a lot. The only small issue is the couch upstairs is a bit uncomfortable, but not too surprising as it was a coach bed. All of the bedrooms were excellent as well. Plenty of room for 10 of us of all ages. I like the location too. Bear Falls Resort was a great place too...far enough away to relax, but quick to get to the tourist attractions. The grocery store is very close too. Overall very happy, and I would choose Jackson Mountain Homes again.

To start off, dealing with Jackson Mountain Homes was a great experience. Checking in and checking out was a breeze. The cabin was not hard to find. Several members of our group arrived late at night and their Gpss brought them to the door. The cabin was well equipped and had more than enough dishes for our group of 8. Everyone loved the house and the location. Our only issue was that the kitchen did not have enough lighting. We cooked a lot of our meals there, so more light would have been nice. I do understand that it is a cabin after all. The bulb over the stove was gone, but someone came over promptly to replace it. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay.
A great vacation stay.

Eagles Point Lodge was perfect for our family. The lodge was as promised, it meet all of our needs. The location was close enough to town without being right in the crowd. Thank you to Jackson Mountain Homes for the excellent service. We will be returning to this lodge.

The only problem was with the garbage container was to small. And the lighting in the kitchen area needs to be better. There was also numerous dead bees falling from the timber above the decks. They were sprayed prior to us moving in.

We reached at Jackson Homes office around 5:15PM. Staff was very welcoming. They were very patient to help us. They took time to answer our question.
Our stay at Eagle Point Lodge was very comfortable. It was a very neat and clean cabin house. Kids enjoyed hot tub during our stay. Elders enjoyed surrounding places and morning walk.
Looking forward to return back in fall session. Thank you very much for making our stay so comfortable.

The cabin was perfect, clean, organized, and we enjoyed the layout. The bathroom in every bedroom was nice, everyone had their own space. The view couldnt have been much better, especially from the hot tub. Make sure to try to arrive during daylight hours, the cabin is not easy to find at night!!
Great place w/ Dreamy Beds!
Left on 03/29/2012 for a stay in March 2012 | FirstTimer
We had a blast. Jmh makes renting very easy. The value for the stay was awesome. Beds are dreamy. Everything we needed was available in the house. Just bring extra paper towel and garbage bags if you are staying more than 2-3 days.
The only recommendation I would offer is to add speaker system / docking stations for iPhones. The auxillary cord in the game room did not function properly so we did not get a chance to utilize very much.
Also, the charcoal grill is the typical "park" grill, which leaves little room for large grilling. Had I realized the size, I would have minimally packed a portable electronic grill.
Wonderful week in all aspects.

The service by Jackson Mountain Homes was outstanding. All agents and service people were very friendly and anxious to help. The cleanliness of the lodge was great. The views looking out from the lodge were outstanding. Eagles Point Lodge is advertised to sleep 16. We had 12 and while comfortable, there were not enough cereal/soup bowls or utensils for everyone to eat at the same time. The rest of the kitchen was well appointed. Check-in/check-out was efficient and quick. Comfortable seating for everyone was lacking. Looking forward to returning!

As always the service from jackson homes was great. The cabin was perfect for multi families. Plenty of room. The view was beautiful. I loved that each bedroom had access to the balcony. The only problem we had was not enough cookware to cook for several people. Everything else was great. We had a problem with the fireplace and within the hour a repairmen was there to fix it.

The only problem we had was construction on another cabin below our cabin deck. The hammering and sawing went on until late in the evening which we could clearly hear while sitting on the deck. The cabin was great and we would stay there again.

This was our second time staying with Jackson Mtn Homes at Black Bear Falls. This time we brought our extended family, 16 of us in all, and we did fit 4 cars in the driveway. The cabin worked out perfectly. All the kids had a great time playing video games, billiards, and hot tubbing, when we weren't out hiking trails or getting around town. We've been to Gatlinburg 5 times, and finally saw a bear for several minutes, walking along the road as we headed up to Grotto Falls trail. Jackson Mtn Homes service was exceptional, as usual. Our home away from home.

This cabin is exactly what we were looking for. It has a beautiful view of the mountains and is just a short drive from downtown Gatlinburg. There was pretty of room for all of us and the cabin itself is beautiful. We loved the decks and also the access to the wireless internet service. We had plenty of room and the kids loved the pool table. We will stay here again if we are in Gatlinburg again.

We had 2 couples with 4 kids and 2 sets of grandparents and had plenty of room. the cabin was gorgeous and I really couldn't imagine needing anything more. The location is excellent, maybe a short 5 minute drive to downtown. Grocery store is a 2 minute drive. You get a beautiful view without having to drive up those really winding roads on the ski mountain side. we had 4 full size vehicles and parked easily. Jackson Mountain Homes is a real pleasure to deal with, from the flawless check-in to the excellent communication. Would definetly stay there again.

Overall experience was excellent. The photos online were very accurate. The cabin was well stocked and clean. The few things we needed were taken care of quickly. The only complaints we had were the number of dead ladybugs, which were cleaned up immediately, and the pool table location. It was too close to the windows to shoot well. Both complaints were minor and we would definitely return to this cabin again.

We traveled to Eagles Point Lodge with two other families and it was a beautiful lodge with plenty of room. The view is amazing, the layout of the home is great. The only downside was that we arrived the night of a storm and rain was literally blowing in through the cracks in the walls. In one bedroom it was getting so wet that we decided to pull the bed away from the wall only to discover a nasty ladybug problem. There were literally hundreds of dead ladybugs behind the bed but it was late so we just vacuumed them up. Throughout our stay however, we found ladybugs in our shoes, on our clothes, in our bed, in our hair. We had several kids, and didn't want to have to pack back up again so we decided to just tough it out since the rest of the cabin was fine. If you could resolve those two issues - the water leaking in and the ladybugs - the cabin would have been just perfect. Read more
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review regarding your recent stay at Eagle's Point Lodge. We hope that you enjoyed your stay and apologize that is was anything less than perfect. We did get hit pretty hard with the storm that much of the nation did and we apologize there was a leak in one of the bedrooms. We will have our maintenance department make any necessary repairs. Thank you for letting us know.
We agree that the lady bugs can be a nuissiance. Unfortunately, pest control has little effect on them. They take refuge during cold weather in any warm crack or crevice of a home around doors, windows, between logs and/or any other place that they can gain access to warmth. When spring arrives or a warm sunny winter day they emerge only to find that they went the wrong way and found themselves trapped inside the house. The best way to deal with them is to sweep or vacuum them up and tie them inside a plastic bag. During the summer months they are not as bad. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you again!

We originally rented another cabin and on arrival it was not what we expected. Jmh provided us with this cabin and it was perfect. The view and the porches were incredible. The basement area was perfect for our family to get away and stay out of the grandparents way and to keep the noise level down. The main level was great for a big group to gather in and the share meals. We will definitely come back to this one.

This year our blended family decided on a vacation in Gatlinburg. I was familiar with Black Bear Falls and Jackson Mountain homes and found this cabin that would hold the whole family comfortably. The accomodations were very nice but there were a couple of things that could use repair such as the toaster and coffeemaker. The view was just beautiful but the owners need to top off a couple of the trees so that it remains beautiful and unobstructed. This particular cabin had a small area to the side with a picnic table - this was a delightful addition. Our adult children along with the grand kids had video games or movies going in both great room levels. This turned out to be a fantastic arrangement. The location was close enough to quickly go to town or run to the grocery or to go off hiking or horseback riding in the park. The whole family really enjoyed the cabin and the trip. We will be booking again.

Cabin great for our family gathering. There was plenty of room for children and adults. The only issue we had was with the pool facilities. Even though we stayed in July, whick was very warm, the pool was shaded and the water was so cold you could not use it. Somehow something needs to be done to warm up the water even in the middle of summer.
