Grand Rapids, MIFamily fun on Spring Break
Left on 04/10/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We rented Gatlinburg Getaway after searching for hours on the internet. We liked the views and the closeness to Gatlinburg/entry to the Park. We had our children and grandchildren all together on this Spring Break vacation, for a total of 17 people. The bedrooms and pull outs worked well for us. We all enjoyed the game room and hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked for all the meals we made. Parking was great for all 5 cars and we liked the small side yard for the kids, which most units do not have. We miss the beautiful view of Mt. LeConte every morning! We highly recommend this cabin and Jackson Mountain Homes.

Gatlinburg Getaway is our favorite rental in Gatlinburg and we have been doing family Christmas weekends for almost 10 years. The folks at Jackson Mountain Homes are the best in the area and we always know that our accomodations will be top notch. With 5 bedrooms and lots of family friendly common areas we find it perfect for our daughters and their families. The Diantonio's have a lovely cabin and it feels like home every time we visit.

Left on 05/09/2012 for a stay in April 2012
The cabin is impeccable and the staff at JMH is always helpful. This is my 3rd time staying in one of their cabins and the Gatlinburg Getaway is by far my favorite. It is in a prime location on the top of a hill overlooking incredible views. It is quiet and offers everything you could look for in a vacation house. The deck offered a nice, quiet escape in the evenings and mornings...perfect place to curl up with a cup of coffee and a good book. The game tables downstairs were fun and the noise from down there didn't drift up the stairs leaving those napping in peace. It was absolutely perfect!

Greeneville, TNGreat Experience -- Our Group wants to come back again next year
Left on 01/25/2012 for a stay in January 2012
Gatlinburg Getaway was an awesome cabin with many great features. Our Church Youth Group came over to Gatlinburg for Resurrection 2012. We visit every year at this time and this was one of the nicest cabins we have every stayed at while visiting. We had a few electrical problems that were fixed within 30 minutes by maintenance but other than that, the experience was great. Our "young men" stayed downstairs in the game room and they loved it and want to stay in the same cabin next year. We hope your experience is just as wonderful.

Great Stay- Year after Year...
Left on 01/19/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We have made staying at the Gatlinburg Getaway a famility tradition. It started with our first stay in December 2011, and was followed-up with a weekend stay in early January 2012.
I honestly cannot say enough good things about this cabin. It has plently of room, well decorated, clean, every aminity you could imagine.
The Cabin is located at the top of the Black Bear Falls community. (Roads getting to the cabin are very slick during the slow- I would suggest travel insurance during the winter months, just incase you encounter a major snow)
My ownly disappointment is with the actual Rental Company. I stayed with Jackson Mountain Homes on 5 different occasions. For the record, they do offer a 10% discount for repeat visitors.
We want to ensure that we get the dates we want in this cabin, so we book very early. Booking early is very costly. No discounts apply to an early reservation. If you look on the website a month or so before your trip, you can find great deals (Stay 3, pay for 2 etc)
This year we booked our 3 night stay early, paid 100% of the advertised price upfront as required. We happened to look on the website, and they were offering a much, much, much better deal than what we booked (Stay 3 nights, only pay for 2) Of course the deals only apply to new reservations.
A few days after we noticed the deal online, we recieved an email offering us to stay an additional night for 50% off. Honestly it was a slap in the face. We had already paid more than someone who made a newer reservation, and they wanted to change us for an additional night.
After speaking with a manager, they did understand our complaint, and comped the 4th night.
Good Customer Service brings customers back. Good Deals brings customers back. I think that early reservations should be awared the same type of discounts as a last minute deal.Response from Jackson Mountain Homes - 01/24/2012
Manager
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Gatlinburg Getaway. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the cabin and appreciate your honesty and candor. We would love to be able to discount more than we currently do, but because we are contracted by the actual cabin owners to rent their properties we are limited in what type of discounts we can offer. Our recommendation would be to always ask because some cabins offer more flexibility in early discounting than others. We value having you as our guest and appreciate all of your return visits. Thank you for your understanding. We hope to see you again very soon.

Much needed family vacation after a tough year of medical issues. The staff was polite and professional, had answers for all our questions. Log home was even better than pictured and described. The view was magnificent. Older adults could rest peacefully while the young adults and children played on the lower level; we couldn't even hear them. Home was so well insulated that temperature in the 30's needed only an occasional run of the gas fireplace to warm to comfortable degree. Kitchen has more gadgets than my own; even 2 coffee makers! Did I mention that view? Guess you can tell that we were all very happy at Gatlinburg Getaway and hope to return one day when my husband wins his battle with pancreatic cancer. This beautiful retreat helped lift his spirits and give him hope of fulfilling our dream to one day live in the mountains. Thank you Jackson Mountain Homes staff.

Our vacation in this cabin was fantastic. The cabin was beautiful, comfortable and majestic. The mountain scenic view was so relaxing and an evening of snow set the powdered beauty of the Smoky Mountains to a beauty that one has to see in person to appreciate. All of the amenities fit everyone in our families needs and wants. It was so spacious as to accomidate all 11 of us and never a moment of feeling cramped or too small. It was perfect! We have used Jackson Mountain Homes to rent our vacation cabins, and we have never been dissappointed. There simply are not enough words to describe how wonderful the cabin is and the awesomeness of our experience with JMH. We will continue to always come back!

The best Christmas ever!
We've stayed in a lot of cabins/lofts/condos, etc on our vacations through the years - and this by far was one of the greatest places we've ever stayed in the United States. Not only was the cabin wonderful - but the view was breathtaking. We will absolutely return again.
Great place for large families. We came from Louisiana - New York - Arkansas, and it was equal driving distance for almost all of us. It's a great place to meet.
The layout of the cabin was one of the many reason I chose "Getaway". We were able to put the families with kids downstairs which gave them a feel of their own home. It was great!
Jackson Mountain Homes was so easy to work with - and the actual owner was very reachable through the entire process of me finding
'Gatlinburg Getaway' online - and answering my many questions about the home and the rates before booking. Then when we had a slight problem the first day we were at the cabin - he was quick to call my husband and get the problem fixed immediately.
Can't wait to return one day. You won't regret renting "Gatlinburg Getaway" -

Beautiful scenic views. Comfortable and inviting. Needs more kitchen supplies. No oven mits. We all like to cook. Needs much bigger hot tub or two. It is a cabin that sleeps 20 and has just a small hot tub that fits 4-5 at the most. Needs more blankets and could not find any games at all. Enjoyed all three levels and had plenty of room to move about. The view from the veranda was breath taking. We were a party of 11 and really enjoyed it and are thinking of coming back again.

Left on 06/17/2010 for a stay in June 2010
Gatlinburg Getaway was everything I had hoped it would be and more. We had 2 families, with 5 "kids" ranging in age from 19 - 23. Your beautiful home was warm and inviting from the moment we drove up. The bedrooms were each very comfortable, with a view from every room. The dining table was large enough to seat all of us, when we dined at home, and the kitchen was big enough to accomodate 2 cooks! We enjoyed using the 2 grills for meals and s'mores! The ground was nice and level to include a nightly game of washers by the grills. Those that didn't want to play had the perfect view from the deck. The views from the internet do not do this cabin justice! I loved being the first one up in the morning to enjoy my coffee (and laptop) with the gorgeous mountain views and sounds of the birds... The decks were pure bliss! We really used the game room each night, and all hung out there to play games, pool, and air hockey. Lots of laughs and many memories were made in that room! It was great to have the hot tub right outside the game room door to soothe our tired muscles. The location of the cabin was perfect for our families. We whitewater rafted, hiked, Atvs, ziplined, golfed, tubed, toured the aquarium, played putt-putt, and dined out several times. We did everything nature had to offer, and then some, and Gatlinburg Getaway was central to it all!
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cabin with our family! God bless you and yours...

We enjoyed our Christmas vacation at the Gatlinburg Getaway. It provided a cozy atmosphere with a beautiful view. We had plenty of space for the 16 people in our family. We encountered a wind storm while there which was pretty scary and would have liked to have been more prepared for that. The office sent an email, but I didn't check my email until I returned back to Texas, so maybe a phone call would be more appropriate. Also, a map to the cabin from Gatlinburg given ahead of arrival would be helpful. We had multiple families coming and some after office hours. There's no physical address given, so google maps or gps devices couldn't be utilized. Other than that, the trip was great! Thanks!

We very much enjoyed our stay in the Gatlinburg Getaway cabin. It was a chance for 3 brothers who live in different parts of KY to bring thier families together and spend time. We recommend giving ziplining a try. The least expensive one is located with Heavens Ranch horseback riding. One minor note, housekeeping could do a little better job on the floors as they were'nt swept very well.

Orlando, FlFamily Reunion was a little cramped
Left on 08/20/2009 for a stay in August 2009
Although the cabin information says it sleeps 22, we had 20 people and were overcrowded.
One of the main issues was the lack of storage for our belongings. Obviously, when 20 people are staying on one space, there needs to be sufficient space for luggage, personal effects, etc. Unfortunately, the owner has NINE owner closets that were not available for our use. This included the pantry in the kitchen and we had to use all the available counter space for groceries.
In addition to feel crowded within the cabin, the exterior views were also unexpectedly claustrophobic. The owner was smart enough to lift his web camera and photos above the multitude of cabins that were in the line of sight.
We enjoyed our time together, but were in closer proximately to one another and our neighbors than we expected.Response from Jackson Mountain Homes - 08/21/2009

Gatlinburg Getaway is an excellent property. We were here for the 4th of July and could see the fireworks from downtown from our porch. All 18 people in our party are looking forward to the next time we can Getaway in Gatlinburg. The kids enjoyed the pool table, and the adults enjoyed the hot tub. We had a great time just sitting on the porch and enjoying the view. Can't say enough good things about it. Stop reading and book it, you won't be sorry.

The house is beautiful and very spacious, and the views of the Smoky Mountains are incredible! My only complaint was that the beds were a little uncomfortable and could have been better quality.

This was a beautiful place and an escape from the boring life back home. My friends and their famlies loved it just as much as mine did. We stayed in Black Bear Falls in July 2007 as well. We loved the community pool everyone there were so nice. I highly recommend this cabin for any big group. I also liked how the rooms were divided for that private time when needed. It was a blast. It is so much to do on the strip of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. This was a wonderful experience.

We rented the cabin for a family retreat not knowing how many would actually participate. There were a total of 13 adult family members and with the five bedrooms and five baths, there was no sleeping on the pull-outs or the floor. The weather cooperated and we were able to enjoy the rockers on the porches and the hot tub. The only negative was not having a gas grill. Just because they are now so common, we expected a gas grill only to find a charcoal grill for which we had not prepared. The cabin was beautiful decorated, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of towels, cookware and dishes.
Over-all it was a wonderful experience.
