Ok, We have been staying with JMH since just after our honeymoon in 1989. This by far is the worst experience we have had. Starting from the day I talked to the woman when I checked in was unfriendly and uninviting, and did not smile once the whole time. I felt like I was putting her out and she acted like she didnt like her job. The lower level room stunk. It smelled like some one kept their dirty dog in that room and it was terrible. After awhile, my Son could not stand it and had to sleep on the floor for the last 2 days of our stay. Also, the water would not get hot, even when they sent someone to turn up the heat, it was still luke warm at best and the water pressure was lousy. The TV in the living room was so old and you couldn't even read the score of the football game. The couch bed was very uncomfortable and hurt our legs as they hung over the side. Next year we will probably look elsewhere. Read more

Everything was very nice. No issues. You can't beat the location. We were so close to all that Gatlinburg has to offer. Would definitely stay here again!
Great Townhouse close to Downtown!

My husband and I stayed with two other couples in the townhouse and we all loved the townhouse. It was nice and clean and the townhouse had everything that we could possibley need. The third floor tends to be a little warmer. It was walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg. We had a great time and will stay there again!!
The only thing we were dissatisfied with was when we decided to stay an extra day we called ahead and let them know we was, when we got there to settle up for the extra day they had a person who knew nothing about reservations only a greeter and we were there 40 minutes waiting on a reservation specialist to take our money and sign agreements. Our suggestion was to have a reservation specialist handling the front desk and not a greeter. When we originally checked in it went smoothly. Read more
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Gatlinburg Village 406. We are happy to hear that you loved it! We apologize that a reservationist was not available at the time you came into our office. We have reservationists available during office hours; however, the office was extremely busy at that time, some reservationists were away at lunch and others were on phone calls. We apologize that you had to wait and hope to see you again soon.
Fun girls weekend

The place was pretty old, but had a new paint job and updated decorations, so it looked newer than it was. Overall it was nice, but the water was never warm enough. I took a shower first in the morning and was almost shivering by the end of it.
The location is good for daytime walking downtown, but the road is really dark at night so we took a cab back. It was a fun girls weekend and we enjoyed our stay - except for the 10am checkout!

Gatlinburg Village 406 definately lived up to the website. The room was very clean and we had plenty of room. The location was great, being able to walk to the strip was so wonderful, not having to fight traffice and pay for a parking place. Definately would stay there again.

Thanks so much again to the Jackson Mountain staff. You all do a wonderful job. We had stayed in this condo once before and enjoyed it both times.
Nice, clean, convenient

Picking up the key was easy and quick. The customer service was great both on the phone and in person. The condo was clean and nicely appointed. The rooms were large. My family felt at home there. The condo was close to the parkway - I thought it was a bit closer than it actually was but the walk was manageable, even for my 6 year old. We didnt use the pool - it was small but clean. Overall, this was a great choice for us and we got what we needed for the money. If I were to go to Gatlinburg again, I would consider staying here again and I would definately use Jackson Mountain Homes.
Well worth the money!

This townhouse was in a perfect location, just blocks from the main street with access to a trolley across the street. The place was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with the essentials. The only negative would be the air conditioning does not reach the loft area and it was terribly hot up there. The outside deck could also use some TLC.
Comfortable but needs improvements.

The condo was ok. The loft stayed extremely warm the whole time. There needs to be at least a ceiling fan to help cool it. The third floor also needs a tv. It needs wifi and a hot tub.
It was clean and comfortable except for the loft being way to warm. The gatlinburg 102 has wifi and a hot tub. You need to do a few improvements to 406.

Really nice place to stay.Service was good. Our only issues was the Cleanliness. The cabinets were dirty, the basement very dirty, the bathroom and the Blinds were very nasty!! Table to big for inside patio could not sit around.Outside patio floor needs painted. Location is Excellent. You dont have to drive anywhere.Pool is always clean and very nice. The management that runs the pool area are very nice. Would I rent this property again, Probably. Read more

Our unit was very nice and clean. It's also fairly close to downtown (my 72-year old mother couldn't make the walk). We would return. Our only issue was that we thought all of the units had hot tubs but they didn't.
we look forward to our return yearly!

I was somewhat disappointed in the condos versus the cabins we've stayed in, in the past. The cabins have all been well maintained and gave the feeling of hominess with luxury. The condos upkeep was sorely missing water marked ceilings, walls and floors were in disrepair. Decorating was either non existant or propped against a wall where it had fallen. My expectations were high due to our other experiences but must say we were sorely disappointed on this trip. Read more
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Gatlinburg Village #406. We are very sorry to hear that you experienced any disappointment with this particular condo. Nice unit, clean, plenty of room, and well appointed. Check-in was quick and easy, excellent directions to the unit from the rental office. Close to downtown (a stone's throw from the aquarium), it was great being in walking distance to the center of activities in town, not having to worry about finding & paying for parking. We all loved it, and will definitely plan a return trip!

Very nice unit. Easy walk to downtown. The only real problem was the temperature. The bottom bedroom was freezing and the master bedroom was hot. We tried closing all the vents except for the mater bedroom and it did not seem to help. Nice kitchen. Read more
Thank you for your comments. We hope that you enjoyed your stay. With the unseasonably hot temperatures that we, as well as most of the country, have been experiencing, it is difficult for the a/c to keep all three levels at an even temperature. We will have the unit serviced to make sure that it is operating properly. Hopefully, this heat wave passes quickly. We hope that you will choose Jackson Mountain Homes in future.

Gatlinburg Village was a great place to stay. It was close enough to town that you could walk but far enough away that you didn't hear all the noise. the property was in good condition, very clean and spacious. The deck was nice to have, able to sit out and enjoy the quiet, and use the hot tub.

I was impressed with how organized and thorough everything was. The townhouse was, overall, very nice. I was somewhat disappointed with the bedroom on the first floor. I felt that that comforter on top of the bed was very worn and smelled dusty. The other two floors were very nice. Other than the one bedroom, I was extremely happy with my stay! Read more
Thank you for taking time to respond to our survey. We will send someone from our office to look at the comforter in question, and then pass your concerns to the owner of the townhouse. We are happy you enjoyed the rest of your stay with us, and look forward having you stay with us in the future.

We selected this townhome from the ones available with Jackson due to location, cost, amenities. It was a few dollars less per night than the others, and when I asked why, was told it had not been renovated cosmetically. Therefore, with regard to size, decorations, etc., it was what we asked for/agreed to.
However, it is in the midst of some renovating. There is a "scary cubie" in the main floor bath that has tile and other items time forgot, very dusty vents, etc. The biggest issue is the draftiness and ventilation issues. Sleeping in the bed on the main floor, we could feel the draft across the room from the closet out the bedroom door. The furnace is not set up properly right now. The best working heat vent feeds heat directly to the thermostat in the kitchen, causing discrepancies with thermostat versus actual temperature. The lack of cold air duct returns was concerning. These issues need addressed prior to renting this to anyone else--and we stayed when the highs were mid-60's. It going to continue to get colder, this needs fixed ASAP.
Location and size of condo, amenities were perfect...needing new pictures and comforters was expected and not a problem. The heat/ventilation issues and midst-reno was more than we expected, and why we cannot recommend this condo again at this time. Read more
Thank you for your comments regarding GV 406. This is the first we have heard of a problem with the heating system. We recently had it inspected for winter use but will have the technician check the system out again. We are not sure what scary cubie is, but we will check with the condo owner for status on renovations. Thank you again.
406 Gatlinburg Village

Myself and friend rented 406 Gatlinburg Village townhouse in August 2009. We had plenty of space for the six of us. We liked the home very much. It was within walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg or a trolley picked us up in front of the comples which was great when we were going to the other end of town. We enjoy the hot tub on the screened in porch. TV in each bedroom. Washer and Dryer in townhouse and the deck was great for early morning coffee.
The only problems we encounter was with the bathroom in the lower level. My friends had that room and said the shower was not spraying down correct, it had leakage that allowed it to spray out the sides. This was an annoying issue. The comode was also a little difficult to flush. You had the try more than once and or hold the handle down. Read more
Thank you for your comments about the condo. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We will have maintenance assess the bathroom issues right away. Thank you again!

Least favorite of rentals

This was my ninth time staying in the Gatlinburg Area. We have
always rented cabins before. I chose this condo, because we have
always been very pleased with the cabins from Jackson Mountain
Of all the homes we've rented, this was my least favorite. It was
clean and well kept, but there were some things we just didn't care
The downstairs bedroom was like a dungeon and so, so, cold. In
order to make the upstairs occupants comfortable, that bedroom
had to be like an icebox. And, that bathroom did not have a heater
like the main floor bathroom. It definitely could have used one.
The bedroom at the top should have had it's own air conditioner.
There wasn't even a fan to circulate the air.
The house sleeps 8, but has towel bars for three.
The refrigerator kept freezing all our produce and the can opener
The living room was a nice set up and the furniture was
comfortable, although the legs on the dining room table kept
catching everyone's toes as they stick out.
The spiral staircase was pretty but lethal as it was right in line with
the head when you came up the steps.
We had a good stay here, but would not choose a condo again.
Next time, we are back to our woodsy cabin
OK for the money.

The condo was spacious but showed its age. The first floor was cold at night no matter how high we set the heat. The temperature on the main floor and the loft were fine. Bathrooms are big, water pressure is good. Beds are not very supportive but they are large! We "ate in" several meals. All appliances in kitchen worked well. Washing machine also works well.

This condo was great;a lot of room. The pool was also very nice. Great location; within easy walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg which is what we wanted.
