We had a nice 3 night weekend at Golden Pond. This cabin was perfect for 2 couples, with a king bedroom and private bath on each level. Our husbands enjoyed shooting pool and watching ball games downstairs, while we girls visited upstairs. We found the cabin to be very clean and well stocked with everything you need. The hot tub was wonderful, and we enjoyed sitting out on the porch over the pond. We have rented from Jackson Mountain Homes several times in the past, and they are very nice to work with.
We love the Black Bear Falls area, and may stay up in another cabin with a view of the mountains next time we book. But we will definitely book through Jackson Mountain Homes.
A great first experience

We stayed the 22nd thru the 25th of March and I absolutely loved it. So much thought and attention to detail was put into this cabin. Anything you think of you could possibly need was provided. The cabin was immaculate, the cleaning personnel are some of the best I've ever encountered. I made this trip to spend some time with family and get away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday living. If it wasnt for my fear of driving through hills and mountains I would definitely stay a milliion times over again. I highly recommend this property to anyone who wants their money's worth.

Clean, well maintained, cabin. Enjoyed every part of our stay. Walking distance to the pool, small pond with fish to feed. Our kids loved it!

We recently stayed in this cabin for July 4th and I couldn't have asked for much better. The place was very clean and accommodating. The pool was within 5 minutes walk to. We had 8 people in our group and our two pups and everyone was very happy. The grounds were very nicely kept and I would go back in a heart beat!
We had a great time with this cabinand the setting it was in.

We have two young children and this was our first trip to Gatlinburg. The entire trip was a joy and in particular the Golden Pond cabin was a tremendously enjoyed experience. Kids loved having the run of the basement and singing in the hot tub every nite and the area was clean, quiet (we were probably the loud ones), and comfortable. The first morning produced a light snow-dusting and the view out the front of the cabin was gorgeous. We will be back!!
we enjoyed an amazing vacations.

The cabin was exactly as we were looking for, very accesible, not too high, and really close to Gattlinburg main street and attactions, also close to supermarket and gas station, cabin was very clean and well equiped, resort areas and streets super clean, cabin view is to a relaxing pond, proffesional and friendly staff. We'll come back again to Jackson Mountain Homes, next time to a higher located cabin with a Mountain view.

Check in was a breeze and directions to the cabin was very easy and clear. The cabin is in walking distance to the pool. it was our first vacation with our 13 month old and it was a great experience. the cabin was very neat and clean. If you are traveling with a baby be sure to bring a baby gait for the steps. The pond was nice and filled with some big fish that is fun to point out with the baby. Drive into downtown was very quick and easy which is nice with a baby. The only complaint is squeeky doors and beds which can make sneeking into bed after baby is asleep a challenge if your little one is a light sleeper. Over all the cabin is beautiful and made for a great experience.
Perfect place, great price.

The location was great, the kitchen and living area exactly what we needed, enough trees and privacy to make the week a perfect retreat. Nice. Very nice.
A couple of improvements that we would like to see: the washing of the blankets on the pull outs and the deck furniture and the mattress in the GF master is ready for a change-there are depressions that are an issue. Read more
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Golden Pond. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We will remove the sleeper sofa blankets for cleaning and will assess the ground floor mattress for replacement. We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention and your understanding. Staying in the Golden Pond Cabin, was wonderful...The kids loved the game room and enjoyed the pool table very much...would have been nice if they would have had a video game player and some board games, though. We all enjoyed the view of the pond and enjoyed looking at the fish. Loved getting up in the morning and sitting out on the porch with the view of the pond. I only wish the beds would have been more comfortable...thinking they need to be replaced with some new bedding. In all, loved the cabin and the surrounding area.

Ok cabin - needs some personality. Also, no internet - granted it was not advertised, but anymore it's almost an expectation...
The beds were bad - noisy, the headboards swallow your pillows, etc.

Everything we needed for an enjoyable family vacation. Easy access to downtown Gatlinburg and hiking trails. Especially enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of hiking! Good views of the mountains and ponds. Liked the log cabin community! The coffee pot went out and it was very quickly replaced! Thank you! The only downside were the mattresses on the beds and especially on the sleeper sofas.

The cabin was very nice, just a few suggestions:
* Paying entire amount 30 days prior to our stay, would like to see 1/2 of the amount being requested.
* The parking at the cabin - not real flat to park and unload, would like to be able to see the parking in pictures on the website.
* Have noticed that things that are broken are not repaired, would like to see blinds, porch displays fixed when needed. Read more
Thank you for taking the time to to complete a review regarding your recent stay at Golden Pond. We hope that you enjoyed your stay and apologize for any inconveniece you may have experienced. We will have the blinds & porch displays assessed for repair or replacement. Thank you for letting us know about them. We hope to see you again soon.

We were concerned about not having a mountain view as we had in the past, but the two ponds, sounds of nature and trees made the stay most enjoyable. Sitting on the porch at anytime was very relaxing. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The only thing we could say is the kitchen could have had a few more pans and utensils. The cabin we stayed at last year was so well equipped for cooking. This was not a major issue and we were able to make due. We enjoyed eating at the table on the porch because of the setting and degree of privacy we had. The staff was excellent when making reservations and at check-in as they were last year. We will return for another visit and have already recommended Jackson Mountain Homes several times.

This home was great for 2 couples with the bedrooms being on separate floors and the kids even had their spot in the gameroom. Golden Pond is perfectly situated on the side of a hill overlooking the ponds and is very accessible from downtown Gatlinburg. We spent lots of time on the porches looking at the fish in the ponds and the kids loved having the steps and path down to them so they could get an "up close" view. The community of homes and grounds were beautiful and the pool and clubhouse would be a definite plus in the Summer. We would highly recommend this home for a relaxing Gatlinburg getaway.

We had reservations at another cabin, but due to the weather, we could not get to "Making Memories". The staff at Jackson Mountain Homes sent us to another cabin, but we could not get up the driveway. We went back to the office, and were given the option of a 3rd cabin. The staff was VERY PLEASANT, HELPFUL and KNOWLEDGABLE of all of the cabins. I cannot stress enough how nice and patient they were with us, as we were slightly stressed about the weather. The home was clean,well-maintained, and had all of the necessities. We felt very much at home in the cabin. I would definitely recommend using Jackson Mountain Homes for vacation plans.

My family has stayed in Gatlinburg for the last 5 years for Thanksgiving. Each year, we rent a different cabin. We have always loved the cabins in Black Bear Falls because of it's close proximity to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Jackson Mountain Homes was a VERY easy company to work with. The cabin was perfectly clean and organized for our stay. I will use this company again in the future!

The cabin was beautiful and clean. We all felt very "at home" and comfortable in the cabin. It was close to Gatlinburg, but not "walking distance" as was described in the literature. I loved that we could chose how many bedrooms, what size beds, etc. The guys enjoyed the pool table. The only down side was we couldn't enjoy the hot tub because of the mosquitos. Although I didn't go to the pool, my sisters said the pool was not as clean as they thought it should be, but they only tried to go once when they could fit in the time between side trips. We really appreciated the "secret" short cuts to keep from having to drive thru town. The whole area was breathtaking. I plan on bringing my kids and grandkids next time! Read more
Thank you for your great comments about the cabin. We will forward your comments regarding the swimming pool to the homeowners' association as they take care of the pool. Thank you again!

Very nice yet professional from the time I walked through the door to obtain the key. The cabin was decorated tasteful yet easy to keep clean. (Four adults, 3 children) The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and the washer & dryer was a big plus. Not too far from Gatlinburg a short 10 min drive. Recommend this area and Jackson Mountain Homes to several prospective customers

We truly enjoyed our stay at Golden Pond. From the very first day, the check in process was easy and quick with JMH. The cabin was beautiful. Enough room for 4 adults, 2 children, and an infant to move around and enjoy. The private cabin community is peaceful and very nice. The kids enjoyed the pool area. The cabin is close to downtown but away from all the crowds. The only suggestions we would have is that the mattresses were a little older and could be updated (by no means horrible but still need to be changed) and the cooking pans in the house are very cheap and difficult to fix a nice meal with. Thank you for your great comments. We will complete a kitchen assessment to update the cookware and notify the cabin owner regarding the mattresses. Thanks again!

From the moment we arrived, we loved everything about our vacation home "Golden Pond", the hot tub and pool table was an added bonus, the beds were very comfortable, everything was very clean, the location was perfect. I would recommend this home to anyone coming to Gatlinburg, I kept telling my husband that we are staying at the nicest place that I have seen between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Thanks to Jackson Mountain Homes for a wonderful vacation!

We liked the cabin a lot. It was very nice and all amenities were great. We had a small problem with a couple dogs hovering around the peoperty, which scared the kids, but the office staff was very helpful and took prompt action.
The only hting we did not realize through the pictures was how close the other cabins were. But that was not an issue since we hardly saw anyone else there. Had a enjoyable time there.

Golden Pond was a wonderful cabin to stay in with my husband, children, and parents. A very relaxed atmosphere, yet close to ammenities and the grocery store. The cabin was clean and the decor was beautiful. We all had a great time and have told many to book with Jackson Mountain Homes as they are friendly and cabins are clean. Thanks for helping us have a wonderful long weekend.

This cabin is beautiful with two wrap around railed porches, one up and one down. The cabin is sitting fairly high on a hill so that mountains can be seen in the distance. There is a double goldfish pond that can be seen below from the balcony porch. This cabin is less than a mile from downtown Gatlinburg. The roads were not steep and the cabin was very easy to find. The cabin is secluded enough to be quiet but close enough to downtown so that if you want to shop the drive in is short. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
The cabin exceeded our expectations. The living room, kitchen, and master bedroom are on the upper level. The second bedroom and game room with pool table are located on the lower level. Although our family, of four with twin boys, is close, each member found there own activity, whether it was watching one of the four televisions, playing billiards, soaking in the hot-tub, taking a hike, or just sitting on the porch in a rocking-chair watching mountains across the horizon. The mountains are blissful and gave our family a much needed rest. It was good to find a cabin where there had been no pets.
