We were re-assigned to this cabin because the one we originally booked was inaccessible doe to a snow fall recently. This cabin was excellent! Everything worked, was clean and comfortable. Very well stocked with every imaginable kitchen gadget and appliance.
Check in was done after hours and was seamless as well. Jackson Mountain Homes is a great company to work with. I would definitely rent this cabin again. The only thin g I would caution you about is the driveway is a bit steep. I have a 2012 Camry and after dragging my front spoiler while exiting the first night, I had to back down the driveway. No big deal, just had to work around it.
I think the location is a plus in the winter months as there are no steep mountain roads to access it. You can be in Gatlinburg in 10 minutes.

As a family living in the tropics we longed for an experience in the mountains.After looking at several cabins on internet we chose Kicking Back since it was not completely of wood inside.The service we got was good. The cabin complete. Our boys enjoyed the pool table and jacuzzi.
The cabin was beautiful decorated and very confortable. The missing items were the gas grill BBQ and every morning we were looking out to see a bear but never saw one !!We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin and in Gatlinburg. -

We loved staying in the Kicking Back Cabin. We have stayed in other cabins in the area but were new to both Jackson Mountain Homes and the Kicking Back Cabin. We would defininately like to return to this cabin again. We were traveling with our teenage to young adult children and my parents and we all found the cabin comfortable and it met all our needs. Jackson Mountain Homes was very friendly and made sure our accomidations were as needed. The driveway was steep but we expected that in the mountains. The only thing that would have made the cabin better was if it didn't have close neighbors and the kitchen could have used a few more cooking utensils and baking dishes. Neither of those complaints would keep our family from returning. I highly recommend staying with Jackson Mountain Homes and enjoying the Kicking Back Cabin!

My family and friends for the first time stayed in the kick n back cabin at Gatlinburg and it was a wonderful experience. The cabin was amazing and was exactly as the pictures posted on the website for Jackson Mountain Homes. Very comfortable and clean cabin. Had a wonderful time during our stay. Would recommend.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at Kicking Back Cabin. The cabin is beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and had many nice unexpected extras that made us feel at home. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub, jetted tub upstairs, and pool table. We were impressed by the absolute cleanliness and high level of maintenance of this cabin.
This cabin is conveniently located off a major highway about 8 minutes east of Gatlinburg, a location we found worked well for us. It is in a quiet, hilly, tree-covered development with several other cabins visible through the trees.The deck overlooks a large home situated at the bottom of the hill, so if seclusion and a view are important to you, this may not be your best choice. Also, as others have stated, the driveway is extremely steep, with a bit of an angle, although it was not a major problem for us since we stayed at a time of year with no worries about ice or snow.
A few words about the great service we experienced with JMH. Late check-in was a breeze, and when we later asked about staying an extra night, arrangements were handled quickly and efficiently. When I mentioned that the coffee maker wasn't working properly, a new one was delivered within a few hours. Someone from the office even called to make sure we were OK after the area experienced a bad hailstorm. I would definitely rent from JMH again! -

We very much enjoyed our stay. Its a great place to get away and have fun. Our only problem with the cabin was there was never any hot water that lasted longer then about 2 minutes. You did come and tried to fix the problem but it only lasted one night. I hope you will work on getting that one thing fixed for good.

We had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly, and the cabin was very cozy and tastefully decorated. It was near enough to Gatlinburg to be convenient but far enough away to feel private. We felt very welcome.

Love this cabin. It's close to everything - feels like home. Exceptionally clean - this is our second time staying in this cabin. The only thing negative is that I think the bed downstairs is too hard - would be nice if you upgraded the mattress, but the upstairs bed is fine. We will stay here again. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of the hard bed. The staff at Jackson Mountain is awesome - extremely friendly. We will continue to book through this company.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were so glad we didn't use a hotel while in Gatlinburg. The home was quiet, spacious, and secluded. Our boys loved using the hot tub and pool table every night after spending our days hiking in the Park.

Enjoyed our stay. Cabin was clean and well equiped. Kids liked the pool table and hot tub. Driveway was a challenge and sofa bed saged. Close to intertainment and restaurants. We would recommend Jackson but to try a different listing.

We were two moms taking our two teens to the mountains for a few days of spring break. Loved this cabin. The kids played pool any time we were "home" and the moms hit the hot tub! This cabin was very comfortable and good location to be away from it all. Yes the driveway is steep but doable. Do wish check out was later but knew the time going in so it was ok. It was so nice to get to just hang out with friends.

My boyfriend and I stayed in 'Kicking Back' with another couple for New Years. Jmh staff was very friendly/helpful when I had to call last minute to arrange an after-hours packet/key pick-up. The cabin was completely prepped for our arrival--the driveway was salted, icemaker turned on, hot tub turned on, etc. It was very clean and welcoming. We did not have any problems during our visit and will definitely go back and use JMH again!

Great place.. amenities were awesome. House was decorated beautifully and comfortable! Everything very clean and well kept. The only concern we had is we felt perhaps the door to the house had at one time been broken into because it didn't feel very secure. Otherwise.. love love it and next time we go to Gatlinburg will try to get this cabin! We made a trip in November and ended up wishing all week long we had stayed here!

my mom, dad, husband, my two daughters and myself stayed in the kicking back cabin and we had plenty of room. the hot tub was great big enough for four people or three adults and two small children. only 5 minutes from town, the driveways a little steep enough parking for 3 cars. i really enjoyed the king size bed and the open kitcken it's a big kitchen. the service i received was very nice and the welcome call was nice.

My husband is a full time college student, so we took advantage of his spring break to get away to the mountains. Kicking Back is a great "cabin" with all the amenities. We had water heater problems, but Jackson Mountain Homes had them repaired same day -- great rental company. The view is beautiful and the house is extremely clean. Our only complaint, if you can even call it one, is that the pictures do not depict that there are other houses just behind and beside the cabin, and we were hoping for a bit more privacy. However, we had no complaints because those tenants stayed away most of the time.

We enjoyed our time at Kicking Back very much. It is a beautiful cabin, easy to find and convenient to downtown Gatlinburg. It was exactly as promised on the website regarding amenities - we were very pleased. We enjoyed everything - the fireplace, jacuzzi tub, whirlpool bathtub and pool table. Also, the staff at Jackson Mountain Homes was very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin, it was easy to find,in a quiet area, and Well equiped. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. My family enjoyed the pool table day and night. I enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. The cabin was very clean and had everything we need for a great family holiday. However there are two things I would suggest,that either the deck be closed in or some type of heating device be put outside on one of the decks. We would have loved sitting outside but, it was just too cold. Also, lose the timer on the fireplace, that was annoying. Loved the hot tub also. We would definitely recommend this home.

The cabin was well maintained and relaxing, the owners had thought of most everything. One tiny problem (but not a big deal) was the hot tub never got hot enough. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay, especially the pool table and good location of this cabin. The view from the living room is like being in a forest. Jackson Realty is very responsive if you have a problem.

This was a great place to stay. The home was awesome. There is a pool table and hot tub, both of which we enjoyed very much. The area is beautiful with easy access to Gatlinburg and the national park. The thing that I liked least about the cabin was the parking situation. The driveway is very, very steep and there is little room to park. If it wasn't for the parking and driveway I would have rated this as 5 stars. The rest of the cabin was lovely, though.

Thank you for your comments. Kicking Back is a lovely cabin. There is available parking for three vehicles at this cabin and it does have a turn around spot, however, we sorry you found it steep. This parking area is considered sloping but not steep.

We had an awesome time during our four night, five day stay at Kicking Back Cabin. From the time we arrived at Jackson Mountain offices to pick up our keys, to the last time we walked out the door, we felt very welcome and cared for. We even received a call from the office on the second day to insure that everything in our cabin met our approval. The cabin was a perfect match for my family of four as well as my parents. My Dad had to have emergency gallbladder surgery the week before we left so we didn't know if the vacation would be comfortable for him. He actually stayed at the cabin a little more than he probably would have before the surgery, but he LOVED the cabin. The furniture was comfortable and the hot tub was enjoyed by all. My Mom and Dad used it more to just kick back and relax while the rest of us ran around from Gatlinburg to Pigeon Forge. We've been coming to the mountains for years on vacation and several of us commented that Kicking Back was one of the best cabins we've stayed in. We really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to visiting again.

The cabin was great. It helped me to get rid of some stress. The only complaints me and my friends have is not enough towels, lighting outside and the address by end of drive. Both me and my friends that arrived later missed the cabin the first time around because we were looking for Kicking Back on sign by drive. Overall it was fun and relaxing.

I found this "cabin" on google maps, looking for a place that was outside of the touristy area of town. It was exactly what we were looking for -- easy to find, easy to get to the park, close to the grocery, convenience stores, even a Rec. center with bowling, racquetball, swimming, basketball, an outdoor running track, a playground... About a 10 minute drive to "downtown" gatlinburg and the entrance to the Smokies.
The house itself was perfect. The hot tub was great after hikes, the kitchen is very nice and had everything we needed. We chose this specific house because it had internet, but it was not wireless which was a bit of a disappointment. (Routers only cost $50 yall!)
The house isn't exactly isolated, it is in a neighborhood, but it also wasn't RIGHT NEXT TO any other houses so we felt like we had enough space and privacy to truly feel like it was a get away.
The Jackson Mountain Homes staff was also great the few times I spoke to them on the phone. We never even saw anyone in person -- we picked up the keys after hours and when we left, we simply left the keys at the house. While the home itself was wonderful and well situated to Gatlinburg, we had a couple of issues. First, the hot tub was not very private-- the house next door basically looked down into the tub. Second, the jacuzzi, when turned on, spit out some sort of nastiness that filled the water. We thought this was due to a cleaning product, but we filled the tub three times and still had the problem. Last, while the website said there was "construction in the area," it did not mention it was literally right under your nose and that workers would show up at the crack of dawn and turn on their radios and make a racket that made it impossible to have a sleep-in and made the house uninhabitable while they were present next door. Again, the home was lovely and clean (excepting the jacuzzi) and beautiful, but these little things each added up and spoiled our stay. My husband was actually very glad to leave, and that's no way to end a vacation.

This was a great place to stay.
It doesn't have a view...
But....
It is only ONE mile from the Community Center where there is free basketball courts, inexpensive swimming and great bowling.
Plus there is an outdoor track there to. That made this a great location.
That really made Kicking Back great for kids who want evening activities.
