We wanted to rent a one bedroom cabin for our 45th wedding anniversary stay in Gatlinburg. We had never stayed in a cabin before and truly think that "Peace of Mind" was the right choice for us. We were greeted by Michelle at the office, given directions to the cabin and the keys. She was so nice. It was so clean and spacious, had everything we needed and we felt secure. Being from flat land country, we found the drive up to the cabin "interesting" but after several trips into town and back to the cabin my husband was a "pro!" We arrived during the government shutdown and were disappointed that the National Parks were not open. But we went into Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Dollywood the first two days. Then on the third day the government opened the parks and we went to Clingman's Dome and Cades Cove. The foliage is amazing!! loved it all and we hope to return with our grown children. I liked the personal touch of the coffee table book where guests could write about their stay.

We enjoyed our stay very much, good location, close to stores and Gatlinburg, The cabin had all that we needed, only thing that would have made it a little nicer, when on the porch, would be small table between the rockers. A swing would be nice too, We will be back, We have stayed with Jackson Mountain 3 times before, Thanks You Jackson Mountain and to the owners!

We have been to Gatlinburg many times, but never stayed in a cabin. We could not have chosen a better cabin. We were pleasantly surpised when we walked in. Everything was so clean and smelled fresh. The furnishings were updated, the bed was really comfortable. It was supplied with anything you could possibly need. The location was a close drive to Gatlinburg, and the arts and Crafts community. There is a nearby grocery store. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely recommend Jackson Mountain Homes.

We stayed for a week at peace of mind cabin.
It was excellent.
The pictures on the internet were a great representation of the cabin.
We had a truck and trailer and 2 motorcycles - there was lots of room in the drive way thanks to the advise of the jacksson mountain home people.
The location was wonderful about 5 mins from downtown gatlinburg - and about 3 mins from grocery & liquor store.
The cabin was very clean - and the kitchen was well equipped. We love the hot tub on the deck and the big screen tv. We were sad to leave!
This is an ideal cabin for a couple to be completely relaxed.

We wanted to stay in a one bedroom cabin in Black Bear Falls for three nights after we attended a wedding in Lenoir City. This cabin was very clean and neat and contained all of the features we desired. It is conveniently located very close to Gatlinburg. The front porch is wonderful to sit on during the rain.

This cabin was perfect for our stay. We are a young couple who wanted to get out of town for a few days and enjoy some peace and quiet, which is exactly what we got with Peace of Mind! Even though your neighbors are close, not many cabins are in view, and the landscaping makes the porch feel very private. The hot-tub was enjoyable at night, although I would recommend putting a light out back near the hot tub. Luckily we had a lantern with us, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to see! The bed was extremely comfortable, and the whole cabin was very clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, and the fridge was convenient for leftovers (saved us some money on meals). The pool table was a nice touch, and I liked that there were speakers in the loft so we could hear the TV, which was viewable from the top floor. We arrived late, and I was in a panic because I didn't have the code we needed to retrieve our keys. I called the emergency number on the door and the woman who answered was very helpful. I got our information packet no problem, which had a map to our cabin, brochures, and an extra set of keys. I even got a phone call the next morning from the front desk making sure check-in went smoothly! Thanks so much, we will definitely stay here again. Hopefully we'll see some bears next time! :)

My husband and I really enjoyed staying in Peace of Mind. It is a perfectly sized cabin for two and a nice place to unwind. It is very private and quiet and has a great view. It is also very accessible to downtown Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky National Park. The employees at Jackson Mountain Homes were very pleasant and easy to work with, too. We would love to vacation here again!

Our cabin was amazing. It was clean, comfortable and very nicely decorated. We had the feeling of being deep in the mountains but we had all the amenities we needed (satellite TV, Wi-Fi, Blu-Ray Player, flat screen Tv's). We could not have asked for more! Jackson Mountain Homes was flawless and had all the paper work ready when we checked in. The check in process only took less than 5 minutes. When I called them about adding an additional night they gave me half off. I would highly recommend this particular cabin and especially Jackson Mountain Homes.

This is the second time that we have stayed at the Peace Of Mind cabin. Overall everything was great, but, the cabin did not seem as clean as before. It was not bad, but I could smell urine on the toliet, before we used the toliet. Bath tub was not very clean. We really enjoyed all of the Christmas decorations while we were there! That was a nice touch. Other than that everything was great! We have stayed in a Jackson Mountain Home for the past six years and have recommended several of our friends to Jackson Mountain Homes and they have also stayed in Black Bear Falls. This was our first vacation alone in over fifteen years, and it was beyond wonderful. "Peace of Mind" was the perfect-sized cabin, with a beautiful view of the mountains, and yet the drive to it was relatively easy. We decided to come in a day early but we wouldn't get there until late at night. As the cabin was available, the ladies in reservations were more than happy to tell us about late check-in, which was incredibly easy. It turned out coming in late at night like that really helped us get the next day started off right, so we are very grateful they let us do that. The cabin was decorated with cute little bears all around, and the drive from the cabin to Gatlinburg was really only 5 minutes! I didn't actually think we'd use the washer and dryer since I'm not a fan of working on vacation :) but we did, so that was nice to have. The hot tub was glorious to relax in and at night the mountain beyond is lit up with the lights of cabins you really can't see during the day. It was very charming. We're coming back with the family in the summer, and will stay at another Jackson Mountain home in Black Bear Falls, but we're also planning our next getaway alone, and we'll stay at "Peace of Mind" again. Thanks for helping us have such a wonderful vacation!

This cabin is just that...peaceful. We stayed in this cabin with our two children for four nights. We were always on the go but for the times that we were actually in the cabin, it was quite comfortable. Wonderful view, especially in the mornings. check in/out was super easy and the cabin was really clean upon arrival. We had no problems whatsoever and even saw a little bit of wildlife while we were there. Would definitely recommend. It's probably more cozy for two people but the four of us enjoyed it and will definitely stay in Black Bear Falls on our next Gatlinburg visit.

Spent a week in this cabin. Small, but we knew that, going in. Very comfortable. The place has it's own supposedly "bear-proof" garbage container. It's not! One night (2:30am) a big bear came along and attacked the "bear-proof" container. It took him about 15 minutes of pounding, throwing and dragging, but finally the latch gave way and the bear took off with what little garbage there was. We watched it all through the kitchen window. Amazing. We enjoyed our stay.

Cabin was just the right size for the two of us. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Very clean and it was a nice touch when the management company called to check to make sure everything met our expectations.
The hot tub is not covered by a roof overhang so with the cold rain/sleet and snow (yes there was snow in March), we didn't get to use it.

The cabin was spacious, exceptionally clean, comfortable and smelled great! It felt to be of newer construction with a pretty view out the front and from the hot tub on the side of the porch. The kitchen was well equipped but the charcoal grill was less than expected. We love to grill outside all year long. The cabin was not as secluded as we like our Cabins to be when we come to Gatlinburg. The cabin was located in a property development. It was very convenient to downtown and the national park. The entertainment systems in the Cabin were far beyond our expectations. We had a great stay and were grateful the cabin was accessible after a significant winter weather. It allowed our weekend plans to happen when other properties were not available due to the snow conditions.
A relaxing confortable stay.

This was our fifth time staying at Blackbear Falls. We like the proximity to town, the cleanliness of the cabins and dealing with the office has always been a pleasant experience for us. This cabin was not our favorite out of the five we have previously stayed in. The view wasn't the best, the kitchen table and chairs were extremely heavy and difficult to move, the room to get by the bed and to the closet was very tight and there was no steps to get into the hot tub. I am height challenged (almost 5'4") and very mature ( nearly 60 years old) and have had double knee replacement, so steps into the hot tub were a must for me. I called the office and requested steps and within one hour we had a set of steps delivered to our cabin. Our overall experience was good and we will be back.

Outside of having a small problem of ants coming in the house from the jacuzzi our stay was outstanding and we would deffinately stay there again. Even all the accomindations inside the kitchen was great (everything needed) I have one question What Kind of bed was in the cabin??? Very confortable. Suggestion put a step going into the hot tub so people can get in and out easy

We arrived at Jackson Mountain Home office on the day of our arrival at 2:30pm. Office was very busy and clerk seem to show she was very tired. We waited a short time while she waited on other guest
She quickly went through our reservations without a smile or hello, comments or their busy day and being overwhelmed. received our package quickly and all I could remeber was, here is your directions to the cabin follow them driveway to driveway!!!. We made a couple of wrong turns before arrival. Beautiful log cabin with a great view of the mountains. Great floor plan and windows to allow the sun in. Great hot tub on the porch, jacuzi in the bedroom a little small. Two flat screen tvs highlighted our visit. The bath and a half is a very nice feature. The cabin is very modern and has everything a person would need.

My husband and I stayed in Peace of Mind for four nights. The location of the cabin was perfect. The only negative comment I have about the location of any of the cabins is that they are not what is pictured online. The pictures online lead you to believe each cabin is remote and has a wonderful mountain view. Most of the cabins I saw had a view of another cabin or of a large ravine with cabins on the other side. I realize being there in December was part of the reason we were more exposed, but it still would have been nice to know excactly what you were paying for. We just happened to get lucky that we piced one that was mostly private. Other than that I have nothing but positive things to say about Jackson Mountain Homes and Peace of Mind. The cabin was very clean and came equipped with everything you'd need to get away. We went out for dinner two nights and cooked in the cabin the other two. Both times we had everything we needed, including a dish washer! The bed was super cozy and the bathroom was just as nice as anything you'd expect at home (I've been to other cabins where the water doesn't get hot, it trickles out, etc., etc.) When you stay in a cabin you don't want your ammenities to make you feel like you might as well have been staying outdoors. Peace of Mind had the cleanliness of a house but was decorated from top to bottom exactly like a mountain home/cabin. It was absolutly perfect! My husband and I were both very impressed with what you got for your money, in fact it was a steal. The cabin also had a pool table and some games, I thought that was another nice touch, especially if you have children. We will be returning in the future and we would recommend this cabin to anyone. Read more
Thank you so much for all the wonderful statements about the cabin. It is certainly not our intent to mislead anyone about the location of the cabin by our photos. Given limited space, we prefer to show photos of the actual cabin rather than the proximity to neighbors, so that you know exactly what you are getting on the inside. In our description, we do indicate that this is located in a log cabin community. However, the density of homes in communities does indeed differ from one to the next. For your next stay, please consider calling our Reservation Specialists, who will help you select the perfect cabin for your needs. We look forward to your return visit.

The service was great at Jackson Homes main office, the check-in took only 5 minutes and they provided information on trails and activities to do in the area. The Peace of Mind home was relatively secluded, enough that we did not see others from the hot tub outside. The cabin was stocked with everything we could have needed and was well-kept. I really liked the privacy and the hot tub and the extra large comfortable bed. The part I did not like was mainly just the traffic in Gatlinburg and the fact that some trails had no mile markers which made it hard to judge how far you were. We did however get some great pictures of wildlife, including a black bear!!!

We were in awe from the minute we walked in the front door. The natural light coming in from the "wall of windows" seemed to make everything glow. The decorations throughout the home were reflective of the smokeys, giving the home a cozy feel, and not overly done. In our down time, we played pool, watched movies on the big flat screen TV, and enjoyed cooking a few meals in the kitchen. The one thing we had some difficulties with was figuring out the TV/DVD/Surround sound system. The kids loved the hot tub, and every time we came back from town, that was the first thing they wanted to do. The community pool was great even though we only had time to go there once. The security monitoring in the community made us feel very safe and we even let our kids walk to the community pool. We wished we could have stayed longer.

This is the 3rd time we've stayed in the Black Bear Falls community. Its very nice and close to downtown so that's a plus.
Only knock was that someone had pushed the couch up against the cold air return and it may have been like that for days. The result, it causes the A/C condenser to work overtime and it froze up, meaning it wasn't putting out cold air. We had to call the after hours service and they had an HVAC guy out and fix it. It was handled the best way it could. Its more of fault on how the cabin was designed and the placement of the cold air return.
I'll be back again one day to stay.

Cozy, fun little cabin with a beautiful mountain view

Our stay a Peace of Mind was so nice - the cabin was comfortable, nicely decorated, quaint,well-maintained, with a completely stocked kitchen. Our stay was just easy - with groceries (Food City), and some DVDs for the plasma, we were set!
Check-in was easy and the Jackson Mountain Rentals staff were helpful and attentive when needed.
The BBQ grill was of the campground variety, so we didn't use it, but the hot tub on the deck was a treat.
There were some unwelcome insects (just spiders and persistent ants), but that was bearable - There's not enough storage or surfaces to store things like cameras, books, toiletries, etc...(but closet and dresser were good for clothes)-those little things didn't detract from our overall experience though.
The cabin is anywhere from 10-45 minutes from many good spots in Smoky Mountain National Park and only a 5 minute drive to Gatlinburg. We spent most days in various areas of the Park, hiking, swimming, bear-watching and soaking up the natural beauty; we spent most evenings in Gatlinburg for dinner and shopping. We made two trips to the community's pool - it was a bit small, but pleasant-with ample deck chairs which allowed us to relax and get some sun. White-water rafting was good.
The best times in the cabin were mornings on the deck drinking coffee, and nights on the deck (or in the hot tub on the deck) kicking back with a beer. We loved watching movies late into the night, and during the summer on clear nights, around midnight - the constellation Scorpio presents itself in its amazing entirety right outside the cabin door - that alone was spectacular. My husband and son were obsessed with the pool table - every spare minute was spent with a cue stick in hand.
I'd say this cabin is best for couples, even though it technically sleeps 4; we were just a bit crowded with one teenager and all of our stuff. We will definitely plan a return trip to the area -to stay in a log cabin, with a mountain view of the beautiful Smokies.

This is our second time using Jackson Mountain Homes, this particuliar cabin I had won on our local radio station for the weekend. I HIGHLY recommend staying in this one. It was absolutely beautiful! There was not a single thing I could complain about this cabin, in fact, we plan on renting from Jackson Mountain Homes again in the future and I hope to stay at this cabin again.....it is called Peace of Mind, and that's exactly what it was....Love Gatlinburg!

Overall a great stay. The home was very nice. Beautiful exterior, spacious interior for two, well kept and clean. Our only complaint is that we were expecting it to be a little more secluded. There are several cabins that are close; however, at the time, they weren't occupied. If you enjoy a community atmosphere, the cabin is in a nice community setting and we felt comfortable taking a walk around.
