We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Robin's View. The owners had thought of every convenience. The view was lovely, we enjoyed our family time in front of the fire. Our daughter loved the Jacuzzi tub as well as the hot tub. A very calm and relaxing place to visit and savor our time together as a family.

We love the location of the cabin. The cabin was very nicely decorated and well maintained. We loved the room and space in the cabin . It was the perfect cabin for 2 couples. The upstairs room was much hotter then the downstairs. Wish we didn't have to go thru Gatlinburg to check in

This is not the first time we have rented this particular cabin. We love the area of the rental, it is so convenient for driving to everything that we love to do when staying in the mountains. Jackson Mountain Homes have always been on top of any problems you may have had staying in their cabins, which is why we have always rented through them. The first night we were there we realized the Heat was not working (20 degrees outside)Really felt bad for the repair man having to be out in the weather and finally getting the heat started 2 hours later. The next evening the water heater was not working. After it was repaired the following evening the hot water was again not working. This cabin truely needs an overhaul repair/replacement done on it. Despite the issues, we had a great trip as always. Read more

Wanted a place to take our daughter and 2 children. We wanted privacy but wanted to be together. This place was perfect for that. The view from the back porch was beautiful. We would sit in rocking chairs and drink our coffee in the morning there. Everything was there in case you wanted to cook in. We are go out and eat people while on vacation but we had everything we need to reheat leftovers. We enjoyed the fireplace in the living room while watching movies. The kids had the nice table for crafts and playing. There was a fireplace in the upstairs room that we enjoyed with a huge window to see the fall colors outside. The kids enjoyed the large tub with jets in their room. It was just nice. My first time to use a cabin and I will do it again.

Robin's View is a great cabin for a long weekend. It's so convenient to have a full kitchen when you're on vacation, and the hot tub is pure luxury. Only downside was the soundproofing was non-exisitent. The wood floor of the upstairs bedroom appears to be the ceiling of the downstairs bedroom. You can even see through the slight cracks in the boards! I hope everyone is willing to be quiet when folks are sleeping!

for starters the directions .
2nd the air-conditioning was broken which it seamed stuffy the first night which i assumed was because it had just been turned on we spent the day out as most do and returned to find the cabin was hot i went to open the windows and realized there are none in the master suite that will open i called the rental office after hours and they were willing to send someone to fix it but they could not arrive for 3 hours it was allready late so i asked if they could at least bring me a couple fans since there was no ceiling fan in the master suite as well. they did bring me fans and they did repair it promptly the next day ( they made no offer to compensate me in any other way) so i spent 2 nights of my stay with a broken a/c . on a good note my at&t; smart phone worked quite well so i was able to get the internet by tethering with my laptops which I did inquire of the office staff if cell service was available for this house and they informed me that cell service was very poor in the area you would think since internet is not available in the house that they would know if cell service worked come on guys catch up
do not use the toaster it burns toast every time no matter what you set it on
and there are no regular forks to eat with only very cheap salad forks
I guess most guest eat out so no one ever noticed this
the hot water was too hot and very hard to regulate while taking a shower and then if you try to use the jacuzzi there is not enough hot water go figure if you advertize a jacuzzi tub you should at least provide adaquit hot water.
the home in general was not very clean but if you are used to roughing it camping it would be concidered ok
all in all i guess i got what i payed for
I will not recommend this house to anyone not the realty company there are too many others in the area to think that they might be a bit better

This was our first trip to this area to stay in a cabin, so I have no other experiences to compare it other than I enjoyed a cabin more than the condos. We had a very nice stay. We had no complaints with the cabin other than a slow drain in the downstairs shower. The cabin was clean and well maintained. The cabin has a great location being about 5 minutes from Pigeon Forge and 10 minutes from Gatlinburg. Also, the Jackson Mountain staff at check-in were very nice and helpful.

Check in was amazingly easy when we arrived at JMH on a Sunday. We loved the home as soon as we walked in. It was quiet and had everything we needed. We stayed in the Robins View cabin for our Honeymoon - 4 days. The cabin was perfect and we loved it and had a blast. We are going to book mark this cabin for future stays.
To make this cabin a little bit better & more user friendly it would be nice to have the following.
1) Satellite tv in every room, this way people in the living room can watch a show and people in the bed room can watch a different show.
2) DVD player at each tv.
3) Water heater isnt large enough to support the hot water needs of 2 showers and the jacuzzi tub. I would put in a 80 gallon tank or 2 -50 gallon tanks.
4) Gas grill on the back deck.
Bed not comfortable.

Surroundings were beautiful, cabin was comfortable. Only complaints were the odor in the first floor bathroom (wood floor smelled like urine - had to purchase arm & Hammer to sprinkle and make it bearable) and the TV cable only worked sporatically. All TVs had to be on the same channel, had to keep the one in the living room on in order to operate the one in bedroom. New iron would not heat up. Otherwise, the cabin was well supplied and clean. Cabin was a good value and in a convenient location. The bed was very hard -- I woke up every morning sore. There were no lights on the back deck, so we couldn't use the hot tub after dark. We grilled out but had to steal grill tools from the neighbors because the only ones at the cabin were plastic! The owners are in the process of making the upstairs bedroom into a game room. It would have been nice to have since the weather wasn't very cooperative.
Cabin was easily accessable, only one hill. The cabin is directly on the road and has many other cabins close by. Wish we would have known that from the website.
The couch was very comfortable. It had an ice maker which was nice. Cabin was clean.
We had a good time and didn't regret renting the cabin.
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Robin's View. We are glad that you had a good time and apologize that you experienced any problems. We understance what an important feature the bed is and we will assess it for replacement. We will also have maintenance replace any bulbs that are out on the deck and install some grilling utensils. We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention and your understanding. We hope to see you again soon.

We stayed at a Jackson Mtn Homes property last summer, and we enjoyed it so much we returned this summer -- but decided to stay at another property to fit within our budget and explore other properties. We were so thrilled with our stay at Robin's View. The location was excellent for us, since we were mostly interested in getting to the National Park as quickly as possible but get to downtown Gatlinburg for food and entertainment. The bedrooms were very spacious, comfortable, and cozy, and we enjoyed using the jacuzzi tubs in the room we stayed in (main level). We used the upstairs bedroom for our 21-month-old child, who could sleep up there for naps and at nighttime without us bothering him or waking him. We did not use the outdoor deck/porch very much, since the weather was still fairly hot and the insects were quite loud and aggressive at night (not a complaint, just stating the facts -- we totally understand that this is expected during august). Overall, we had an amazing stay -- even extending it by one night at the end, which the office was so nice to accommodate. I would strongly recommend this cabin for a small family (like us), a small group of friends, or two couples. What a memorable vacation!

This is about my stay robin's view, Reservation #92928. Arrival 11 May, departure 16 May.
There was no internet access.
The television in the living room did not have the popular cable channels. The downstairs bedroom television had no picture (grey snow) on the only two channels available: #3 and #4. The upstairs bedroom television had only one channel: #3, CNN.
There was no listing of the available TV channels. The information book is out of date.
The downstairs bathroom-to-bedroom door does not close properly. In addition, the dwonstairs bathroom faucet will spash wildly for a small increase in volume.
The largest kitchen knife is broken - split handle
There is wood powder on the front roof valley - indication of termites or carpenter bees. We did kill a few ants.
Lighting in the living room was a bit dim - higher wattage bulbs are needed.
The dryer took forever for any drying.
Otherwise, everything else worked with good quality for the furnishes.
In the future, we would not return here unless the above issues were attended to..
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Robin's View. We are sorry to hear that you experienced any problems during your stay. Unfortunately, this particular cabin does not have internet access. It does have satellitle television, so it sounds like the satellite boxes were not on. We will have the bathroom door, faucet and dryer checked for proper operation and any necessary repairs made. We will replace the kitchen knife with the broken handle. Unfortunately, the nice spring weather has brought carpenter bees along with it. We will have pest control spray the exterior of the cabin. We we apologize for any probelms that you experienced and we do hope that you will choose Jackson Mountain Homes again in the future.

Robin View was a beautiful cabin and a great value. Jackson Mountain Homes always is very affordable and very helpful. The cabins are always wonderful. The only drawback for Robin View is that the floors/walls are not sound-proof at all. You can hear everyones conversations and bathroom activities. Not conducive for romance if you are traveling with another couple. Very romantic for one couple.

We loved the Robin's View cabin. It has such a beautiful view of the woods and mountains. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi tubs and the hot tub on the deck.
My only complaint would be the thin walls/floors. We could hear everything from the 1st floor bedroom to the 2nd floor bedroom...it sounded like we were in the same room. Also, the neighbors were up late one night hanging out on their deck. It was very hard to relax because we could hear them so well.
Other than that I loved everything about this cabin.

This was our third stay with Jackson Mountain homes. We loved the location, it was great being in between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, however the driveway would be scary in the snow! If I had to complain about something, it would be that the TV in the downstairs bedroom was useless. It didn't have a satellite connection nor a DVD/VCR. Not sure why it was even there. Robin's View was a very nice cabin. We were on our honeymoon, and wanted something secluded and private. Which it is, to a point.
The kitchen is not very well stocked as compared to other cabins we have stayed in in the past. The road in is extremely narrow and curvy, and would be horrible in the winter.
The decor was cute and homey. We enjoyed our stay, but for the price, we may not choose this location again. Read more

We loved this cabin! We always use Jackson Mountain Homes because they have amazing service and cabins! Plus their prices are awesome. Robin's view was beautiful. The location was perfect, right off the main strip into Gatlinburg. It was close to some other homes to make it feel like a little community, but it was secluded at the same time. We loved that each room had king sized beds and their were 3 hot tubs (2 inside and 1 outside). The kitchen was great for cooking and the living room was perfect to relax and watch tv! We loved everything about our cabin!

We have been renting from Jackson Mountain Homes for a lot of years now. This was the first time we rented Robins View and we would definately rent it again. We rented it at the end of Jan. into the first of Feb. and I would definately highly suggest if you rent it during the wintery months to have a 4x4. It sits on the top of a ridge and the drive up is steep. The home was cozy and it is located close to a lot of our favorite shopping stores but yet it is still close to the Smokey's.
What I liked best about the cabin would be the big picture windows in the bedrooms and what I would change if I could would be to put a bigger TV in the bedroom on the first floor.

We went for a weekend getaway to relax and it worked! We went with some friends and enjoyed a nice weekend kidless. The cabin was great and we really enjoyed the hot tub!! The service we recived upon arrival was genuinely warm and inviting. We were delighted when we saw how very beautiful the cabin was and how very tasteful the decor. The view outside was absolutely breathtaking with all the fall foilage and so relaxing to watch as the leaves floated down. Every inch of the cabin had a homey feeling and helped to make you feel relaxed. Everything was comfortable and sturdy from the kitchen chairs to the living room couches to the king size beds in both bedrooms. Everything was rustic in design and arranged together beautifully. I loved that the hot tub was just the right size and temperature. The jacuzzi's were a dream, really deep and long, it almost felt like a personal inside pool. The fireplaces gave us all a tranquil feeling as we ate dinner or played cards. The location was amazing as it was not to far from anything nor too close. The only draw back seemed to be the lack of WIFI but considering we were on vacation it turned out to be a blessing. For anyone who is wanting to get away from the stress of modern day life but still stay connected, it is perfect.
This cabin is definanitly one of our favorites and we will be returning in future years for other family vacations.
Review of "Robins View" cabin
Left on 09/17/2009 for a stay in September 2009 | Rick Stump
Cabin was very roomy and location was good, views were wonderful; however, we found it to have many cobwebs in all rooms, spiders and creepy crawlers. Although some of this is expected in a remote cabin, there was more than we have found in other cabins we have rented from JMH.
TV needs to be updated to at least a 32" flat screen in the main living room.
The hot tub wasn't very inviting and we decided not to use.(we felt it needed some cleaning)
Every nite at around 2:30AM there was a knocking sound that lasted the better part of an hour. I presumed it must have been the water heater that came on and off on a timer.
No insulation between the first floor and second floor bedrooms. You could here everything!!! and I mean everything. Guests going to the toilet in the night, their conversations as well as some other embarrassing things.
Thank you for your comments. We are sorry you were disappointed with Robin's View. This is a true log cabin, not just log siding, so noise does travel in cabins like this. We will notify housekeeping regarding the cobwebs and we will forward your suggestions regarding the TV's to the cabin owners. Thank you again.

My wife and I have been to the Smokey's many times, but this was the first visit for our close friends to enjoy the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge Tenn. experience and the Robin's View Cabin was an excellent fit for all our needs. The Home was centered right off the main road, between both cities, a short drive up the mountain, which was great, because with so many sites to see, we could go either way with ease. The home by having (2) identical King suites meant each couple could enjoy the same amenities the cabin had to offer, King Beds, Jacuzzi tubs, TV's and Privacy, 1 up and 1 down. We had brought our margarita machine, so we all had a great time in the large on deck hot tub, fit four people comfortably. The cabin had everything needed to make our stay feel like we were at home, well equipped and I would recommend this cabin for 2 couples or even 1 couple. It was a great first cabin experience, which helped us show our friends, what vacationing in the Smokey Mountains is all about. Hope you enjoy the Robin's View, as we did.

This was the second time we stayed in this house. About 7 years ago we stayed and the trees weren't as tall and it had a great view. Now, the trees block it a bit. The screened in back porch is a nice feature as well as the unscreened porch with hot tub.
Here are the cons: The house needs some updating. Some of the flooring is a bit warped and you can stub your foot on it. The decor is a bit outdated as well.
This used to be one of our favorite homes but it could use a bit of touching up :)

For the first time ever..I was not comfortable that the cabin was clean. The outside hot tub was dirty ..there were things floating in the water (bugs, leaves..and a couple of other things I hesitate to describe). There were rings around the inside tubs as well..and the fridge did not look it's best.
