This is our third rental through Jackson Mountain Homes, and once again, they delivered a memorable and relaxing vacation. Upon arrival, the staff was so friendly and helpful (make sure to follow their printed directions and not GPS or you will definitely get lost!) When we entered Simply Unforgettable it was so clean and quaint, private, beautiful views and so close to town and activities. Perfectly charming and lovely!
I was especially impressed when a bear had emptied out a large dumpster next door, Jackson Mountain sent a crew to clean it up within the hour (and it wasn't on or a part of their properties!). I had only called Jackson Mountain to ask who to call to take care of the trash and they took it in hand personally without hesitation. Great marks for customer service and fast, reliable action!
I would definitely return to Simply Unforgettable and would highly recommend it.

Great Gatlinburg Trip

Had a great time in Gatlinburg. Lots to do. Camping, shopping, games. You name it. The cabin Simply Unforgettable is very nice. However, the spiral staircase is a little tricky to get up with a suitcase. Also I was afraid my five year old would fall down it. Didn't particularly like that. In addition, when sleeping upstairs, the sunlight shines in bright and early so there's no sleeping in. I did like that it was very close to town though.
Nice cabin and a great location.

The rental had more room than we had anticipated. The first floor bedroom was convenient and the loft had a king bed and separate bath. The location, while within city limits, is surprisingly secluded. We thought we heard bears the first night but did not see any. We recommend this rental and would stay here again. It is pet friendly too!

Jackson mountain homes staff very prompt, helpful, and very friendly. We loved the cabin...Especially loved the Two-sided fireplace, it was very cozy and romantic...Warm as well...We had an extremely cold trip. The location was great...With quick and easy trip into Gatlinburg as well as pigeon forge. Enjoyed the pool table...We seldom get to take time for a relaxing game of pool to wind down a wonderful day...Just the two of us. All in all was a very eventful yet relaxing trip...Despite getting stuck in Cherokee due to the parkway closure from snow and ice...Oh did I mention the mama bear and two cubs we got to watch on the way to Cherokee...In the pouring down rain...And minutes later...Beautiful snow! On our way back before we were made aware of road being closed...Saw a whole field full of elk grazing...What an awesome sight!!! Ate more than our share of chili at the chili Cook-off, and beginning of Winterfest... Hated to leave this comfy cabin and come home to reality...Be back in a couple of weeks for the light parade.

Cabin itself was great ! The problem for me is there were no views - that's more my fault - I hate to say I assumed - but I assumed for the money we spent we would have decent views - Actually no views - Again, the cabin itself it beautiful!
We also did have hottub problems - it would not heat up - we did call repair man and he walked me through the maze of processes and when I suggested he make a " how to " page he stated they managed many cabins and all the tubs were different. One other challenge I did not like is they make you drive to their office and give you an access code to open a door at their office to get your keys - why not just leave your welcome envelope in your cabin or on outside of your cabin - I mean we already paid for unit and signed all the crazy stacks of paperwork ?? That process took us an extra 45 mins to find office and then back track to the cabin. Just my opinion - Very nice cabin and close to the strip just no views !

This cabin was in a good location for us. It is close to everything we wanted to do. This cabin is near other cabins and residential properties but it gives off a secluded feel once you enter through the front doors.
It was clean and equipped with the necessities. There are limited pots and pans like you'd expect so if there is something specific you like cooking you might want to bring the pots and pans you like to use. (Especially if you are going to cook for several people) By the way - bring your own spices too. (No salt and pepper to be found in this house)
I'm going to give a thumbs up to Food City for grocery shopping. On our first day we drove to WalMart to stock up on what we thought we would need during our stay. It was a crazy long drive due to traffic and once we got there they were not stocked very well, the parking lot was full, the lines were long, etc...
So the next day we stopped in Food City in Gatlinburg because we weren't able to find salt and pepper at Walmart, and we were pleasantly surprised at what we found in Food City. It was well stocked and clean. It offered the staples and interesting food choices. They even have some pre-assembled meals that looked really good. Like a pot roast in a roasting tray complete with potatoes and vegetables ready to throw right into the oven. My advice is head to Food City first if you are staying in this cabin. It is convenient and has everything you want in a grocery store.
Jackson Mountain Homes was easy to deal with. They called and checked on us the next morning to make sure everything was as it should be. We asked them to fix an exterior light that wasn't working and they did that day.
This was the first place we've rented instead of staying at a hotel and it was a good experience. We would consider staying in the same cabin if we returned to the Gatlinburg area. Jackson Mountain Homes would certainly be a company we would recommend.

This is our second time staying in this cabin and it was again just what we needed to get away from home for a little while. It had all the amenities we needed and plenty of room for the two of us. And the upgrades, (new tv's and wifi, etc.) were much enjoyed and appreciated!! Our little "dog-ter" enjoyed it too. We loved going out on the decks to watch for any wildlife that may come but got no visit from a bear..very sad. The hummingbirds love the flowers that are all around the cabin though!! It is very close to downtown but feels like it is out of the way. The bbq place right down the street is awesome!! We also enjoyed Crystelle Creek restaurant a lot!! And the hot tub at the end of the day was very relaxing!! Jackson Mountain Homes is always a pleasure to do business with and we wouldn't rent from anyone else!! We hated to leave and we'll definitely be back!! Love this place!!

There is only one word I can use to describe this cabin...Amazing!!! We stopped by the grocery store on the way, and upon arriving we immediately lit the grill for barbecue. The kitchen was fully equipped with all utensils. I loved the way the cabin was decorated. Most places are decorated with very bright colors that doesn't really relax me. This cabin is decorated in warm colors that make it very relaxing and very romantic. There are two King sized beds (one upstairs and one downstairs). The drive to shopping was only about 10 minutes. I was sad when we had to leave, but we will be returning to this home away from home.

We had a fabulous stay. The staff at the office were courteous. They even provided treats for our dog. The views from the cabin were lovely. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We went for walks a little further up the mountain and could see a long ways out. Our son had a blast in the loft shooting billiards. Enjoyed the hot tub, after hiking on the trails. This was very convenient to the bypasses to Pigeon Forge and to Gatlinburg, so we were able to avoid a lot of traffic when we left the cabin. Also conveniently close to the grocery store. My favorite part was the little stream running alongside the cabin. The sound of the water was so relaxing.

Probably the nicest furnished cabin we've stayed in. Very clean, cute decor, well maintained, good water pressure. I'd describe the kitchen contents as adequate. You could cook all your meals with the utensils provided but you might prefer a favorite pan or pot and bring a can opener. The washer and dryer are tiny and loud but they work and get your clothes clean and dry. The dishwasher is also loud but also works well. The location is good for access to both Dollywood and Gatlinburg. Getting to the national park requires going through downtown Gatlinburg which isn't a big deal, just requires more patience with the tourists. Very happy with the staff also at Jackson Mountain Homes. If we don't stay at Simply Unforgettable we'd definitely stay at another of their properties.

We use Jackson Mountain Homes for our cabin stays when we come to gatlinburg. Simply Unforgettable is in a great location its close to town but fat enough away from the business of downtown. The cabin was just the right size for my husband and I we did not even have to use the upstairs portion. The down stair bed was comfortable and the hot tub was nice. There were cabins around you but it still had privacy if your looking for that. The cabin is in the woods so It is always cooler, which was nice on the hot days. We were able to take our dog which was nice, wish there was more green space for her to walk in. Really enjoyed having wireless internet to use. Cabin was nicely kept and kitchen had all the amenities you needed to cook with.

Everyone was very helpful. My kids enjoyed the time there. The best thing was a wild bear walked right by the big window and we all saw it. The only problems we had is it got hot at night and the hot tub was difficult to put the lid on. I had left somethings in the cabin when we left and I got them back within a week. Thank you. Simply Unforgettable is a wonderful cabin w/ all the amenities (only disappointing thing was there is no pool). It doesn't have the mountain view, but it is close to the Gatlinburg strip and other sites such as Pigeon Forge, Parks etc. We thought it could have been a little cleaner, and many of the window blinds were missing the wands to turn them. Also, the master shower area is quite small and shared with washer/dryer area. It was hard to maneuver in there and the sink is a pedestal type so there is no counter to put your stuff. But for the most part it was a great cabin, and the kids loved the loft area with the winding staircase. We would definitely recommend this cabin. Read more
Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. We are glad you enjoyed your stay! We appreciate you telling us about any issues that you had and apologize that the cabin cleanliness was not up to our standard. Simply Unforgettable was a very nice cabin, they provided all the basic necessities. We did have a problem with ants in the kitchen even though we did no cooking. I called the staff and they said they would send pest control out. They did but it didn't really help. The drain in the upstairs bath tub also did not work properly. I called again and they sent someone who fixed it with no problem. The location was very close to downtown, next time I would prefer something a little more secluded. It was nice that the hot tub was on the back deck and no one could see you. I was stupid and left my bathing suit on the back of the door in the bathroom. I called the next morning after checkout and asked for them to look for it. They said "quality control" did not find it. This was very dissappointing b/c the only explanation is that someone was being dishonest because I am 100% sure where I left it. This concerns me because even though it was my fault for leaving something I still expect people to be honset when things are found. I will consider staying with Jackson again. Read more
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Simply Unforgettable. We hope that you enjoyed your stay and apologize that you experienced any problems. We often have guests forget items in cabins and we always send someone to the cabin to retrieve left behind items. Most of the time we find items before guests even realize they have left them. Then we call to let guests know we found their item(s) and the method of shipping we use to return them. It is truly unfortunate that you have left feeling this way and we sincerely hope that you will return to Jackson Mountain Homes soon.

The cabin was beautiful, although it wasn't as big as the pictures depicted it to be. I didn't like that you had to walk through a bedroom to get to the hot tub. When we went to use the jetted bathtub black stuff came from the jets. Other than that we had a great time just wish I would've been able to use the bathtub and hot tub more.

The staff at the check in office were wonderful as usual. Our power went out (wind storm) one day and they called the electric company for us which was nice. The home was nice, very cozy. The couch and chair in the living room were more comfortable than most. The house was very clean--you wouldn't know it was a "dog friendly" house. The house was located just off the main road in Gatlinburg which was nice because we didn't have to drive all the way up the mountain to get to the cabin. There are other houses around, but the front and back porch are still very peaceful...a nice wooded view in the back. There is a stream that runs by the cabin..very peaceful. For dog owners: there are other dogs that live in the area not on leashes. The area is great to walk animals other than that. We loved most how close the cabin was to everything (the last cabin we stayed in was 15 minutes up the mountain) and the kitchen/bathrooms were spotless (the rugs in the bathrooms were the only exception, we threw those aside as soon as we got there). If you want a cozy place to stay for no more than 4 people, this is a great little place.

We enjoyed our stay but thought the cabin would be a little bit bigger on the inside and a little more secluded as it appeared in the pictures on the internet. Only a couple sets of blinds had the bar to open and close them; all others were missing. Due to the television being a flat screen on the fireplace mantle, it is hard to see the picture while sitting on the sofa. This tv should be set at a lower location so it can be clearly seen. We had to wash quite a few dishes before using them and the skillets (all of them) definitely need to be replaced (we could not use them due to their condition). Read more
Thank you for your comments. We will address the kitchen issues with our housekeeping company. We will have the blinds assessed immediately for repair. We do provide a map location on the internet as well tthe square footage and floor plan to give you an idea of location and size - however, we are sorry that the setting did not meet your expectations.

We have stayed with JMH for about 10 years now.
This was a return stay at Simply Unforgettable for us. We noticed that the cabin needs some TLC. The wooden blinds in the Living Area need replaced or repaired. Only 3 of them open correctly, and we wanted to look out at the woods during the day. Also the kitchen needs restocking with some new kitchen items. The skillets need replaced and some of the cooking utensils do also. The cabin was not as clean as the last time that we stayed.
But, overall it is a cute little cabin that just needs some TLC. We had a wonderful Holiday weekend and of course we will stay with JMH again. Read more
Thank you for your comments. We appreciate your feedback and will address the kitchen accessories and the blinds immediately. We do our best to catche these items during our pre-arrival inspections, however, nothing is quite like "living" in the cabin for a few days. We will also address your cleaning concerns with the housekeepers. Thanks again. We look forward to many future return visits!

The best part is we were able to bring our dog so she could enjoy being on vacation with us. The cabin was beautiful. It was spotless upon arrival and everything was in good working order. I loved the fact that the main bedroom was on the first floor and the second bedroom was a loft. The kids were close enough to be supervised and still enjoy the pool table and their own television. The fact that they had their own full bath was a bonus as well!
The hot tube off the master bedroom was a godsend after long hikes and walking the streets of Gatlinburg all evening. It's set up was perfect, it was tucked away in it's own corner on the back deck for the upmost in privacy as well. The hot tube was probably the thing I enjoyed the most!
It was nice to have a grill as well, and we cooked own own meal every evening, which made the trip much more affordable. I do think however that that particular grill could use an upgrade as it was hard to keep hot enough to cook on properly. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. however a sharper knife set wouldn't hurt as meat was harder to cut than it should be.
Overall we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to visit Gatlinburg. It was very convienent to all of our destinations and easy to get to. I can't wait to come back!

We searched numerous propertys, amenties and value. We felt this home provided all we wanted and did provide a lovely memorable stay. This very well decorated home would provide comfort and charm for 4 to 5 people.
We will certainly be back.

This is the 7th time that we have rented from Jackson Mountain Homes and we have NEVER been let down. Their cabins are gorgeous, clean, and very well managed. Every time we go to Gatlinburg, we always stay with Jackson, but in a different cabin. This time, we brought our daughters with us and they loved the spiral staircase. The upper loft area gave them privacy to play pool or just sit and do their homework (they were excited to miss 3 days of school). The double sided fireplace was nice on those cool nights. The cabin was very cozy and comfortable, everything we wanted and needed for vacation.
Great house, nice and quiet. We have rentec from Jacksonson Mou

Great House, had everything you could ever want and more. The location was very quiet. We have rented many homes from Jackson Mountain Homes and have never been disappointed. We love taking our dogs with us and they have great pet friendly homes.
