The Summit Lodge exceeded our expectations in every way except for the size of the hot tub which could only accomodate 4-5 comfortably. Aside from this, accomodations were great.

We celebrated a wedding and two birthdays during our stay, had a really great time with family. The kids continually turned down offers to go to downtown Gatlinburg, they loved just staying in the lodge and going swimming at the community pool - so that saved some money and made for one of the most relaxing vacations our family has taken together! The cabin furnishings were of a higher quality than some we've stayed in previously and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. Jmh always makes check-in and check-out a breeze.

We stayed with four other couples and the sleeping accommodations were just perfect. We prepared and enjoyed two meals there in the well equipped kitchen and everyone loved the gorgeous mountain view. Check-in was simple and the house was clean and comfortable.

My parents and several of my siblings and their families all stayed together at Summit Lodge. Everyone, ages 5-71 had a great time. It was very clean and comfortable. There was plenty of space for all of us to enjoy with the large deck space, hot tub, pool table, arcade game, and large kitchen table. We have great memories of our time there and hope to be able to come down and stay again!

Left on 06/04/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We are frequent guests at Black Bear Falls but this was our first stay in Summit Lodge. We had our 4 daughters, 4 son-in-laws and 5 grandchildren for a birthday weekend for 3 of the grandchildren and we had a blast. We came from Knoxville, Nashville, and Birmingham and Gatlinburg is a perfect location to meet for family outings Summit Lodge was very nice and laid out perfectly for our group. The view from the deck was fabulous and the weather was perfect. We spent Saturday at Dollywood (Dolly was in town) and other the the unusual crowds, we had a great time. The Jackson Mountain staff do a fantastic job with all their properties and we will be back over the Christmas holidays.

We loved this house! It was large enough for the multiple families that we traveled with and had enough room for us all to be comfortable. We loved the video games and pool table and the view was breathtaking. We only wish the hot tub had been larger, which seems appropriate for a house this size.

Left on 11/17/2011 for a stay in November 2011
Summit Lodge was an excellent cabin for our large family get together. The cabin was so comfortable and decorated beautifully. We loved the kitchen and den/living area and the great views. The owners had already decorated for Christmas, so the beautiful trees and wreaths made our stay even more cozy and enjoyable! The kids especially enjoyed the "kids cave" downstairs - and hung out together playing and laughing!
We have used Jackson Mountain Homes for years, and they have always been great to work with.
We loved above the Summit Lodge! Thank you for another great trip to the mountains -

We have stayed in many chalets in the Smokies for almost 40 yrs. This is one of, if not the best, homes we have rented. The decor is beautiful. It was decorated for Christmas when we arrived and the kids were so excited. Close to town and very easy to find.
The staff at Jackson Mountain are always wonderful, friendly and helpful in every way. We have stayed with Jackson Mt. for the last 5 yrs because we are so pleased with the service and the condition of their homes in Black Bear Falls. -

Left on 06/21/2011 for a stay in June 2011
The cabin was great again. This cabin had a lot of space and was well equipped. We were well relaxed early on into the vacation. Jackson Mountain was a pleasure to deal with again. Anytime your teenage kids choose to go back on the exact same vacation again two years in a row says it all!
The only complaint we had was that our neighbors kept filling our cabins parking spaces with their cars. -

would be nice to have a little bit bigger pool. People were letting unknowns into gate. one man who was drinking got a little nasty with my daughter and her friend for splashing. They were just playing but moved away when he said something

Manager
Thank you for letting us know about your stay. We are so glad you enjoyed the cabin! Unfortunately, the pool at Black Bear Falls is open to all guests in the community. We do not manage all of the homes in the community and are so sorry you had an incident with another guest. While we are not responsible for the pool area, if you ever have any concerns or problems, please let us know and we will do our best to assist you. The next time you come to Gatlinburg, let us know you would like access to a larger pool and we will suggest cabins for you that have larger community pools.

Hi - we rented 2 chalets and both were amazing and JMH goes above and beyond to accomodate their customers. We had multiple things come up and had 2 very large groups and JMH rose to the occasion and was super helpful. We appreciate them so much and have rented with them for 5-6 years now! Good people - God bless!

My mother, 20yr old neice, my two teenage daughters, my husband, and I vacationed at the Summit Lodge in July 2010. We loved the cabin. All the rooms were well equipped, well decorated, clean, and comfortable. The views of the mountains on each of the three balconies were amazing. This lodge is high enough to see beautiful mountain views. For many days, my mom would call me in the morning and tell me how she missed the mountains while drinking coffee. The young teens to 20 yr old in our group loved the hot tub and everyone loved playing pool, cards and movie watching was great with a flat screen in every room. My only idea for improvement would be better directions for how to use the tv/dvd remotes and the noise of getting in and out of bed. The beds were comfortable but it is noisy to get in and out. We had quick, efficient, and friendly service when needed. The perfect test of a vacation spot is "would you go there again?" and Yes, we definitely would.

We enjoyed our stay at the vacation home. It was spacious and clean. I was a little, just a little upset that the ants were not vacuumed from behind the headboards. The carpet was a bit worn out. I think considering ants are common during the hot months, it would have been nice to have had a handy can of ant spray on hand. Overall, our stay was pleasant.

Enjoyed being altogether with our family, The stove top one of the burners was out and we were told that the bedroom upstairs had a door going up to it which it did not. The bedrooms downstairs were suppose to be queen size beds they were full size beds but we got a long ok the master bedroom king matress the springs were very loud when you moved in the bed. All in all the summit was a good cabin just needs to have some fixing done on some of the things.

I recently brought my youth group to an annual event we do in Gatlinburg. Over the past few years we've stayed in hotels near the convention center. This year we were looking at a budget crunch so I decided to explore other options, which led me to Jackson Mountain Homes. These cabins are a great value and certainly saved us quite a bit over multiple hotel rooms, not to mention that they are a much nicer accommodation altogether! Paul in FL

We knew about this cabin before we went. Our church youth group rents it every January to attend a Christian youth convention in Gatlinburg. It has always been a great place for them and it was great for us. It is so nice to be able to have my whole family in one place. From a 7 month old to an 87 year old. We had a great time and all were very comfortable. And we even got to see a bear outside the cabin! Thanks to the staff at Jackson Mountain Homes. We have also rented other cabins from this group and have never been disappointed!

We had a beautiful stay in the Summit Lodge. Our entire family of 18 enjoyed the whole week. It was clean, had all the necessary items and a beautiful view. Parking was a little cramped, but that was a minor thing. Our kids wanted to stay longer. We will be renting again from Jackson Mountain as we have had nothing but good cabins and friendly service all the times we stayed. I have a height problem and it is a lot easier to rent there with homes on both sides of the road.

I recently stayed at Summit Lodge it is a beautiful cabin, and was very comfortable. The cabin had a great view of the mountains. The rooms and seating are all comfortable, and everything is very clean. The decor is standard rustic fair you would likely find in any cabin. The kitchen served all your cooking needs, fully stocked with cookware, and glasses, utensils, and there is a grill. The hot tub is nice, and the kids loved the pool table and arcade game. My only downside was the showers in the lower level were small, and the stairs going to the lower level will give you a work out going up and down them. But overall experience is that is was very nice, and for the first time every renting a cabin Jackson Mountain Homes were the bestand I would highly recommend them. My family already wants to go back, and I would go with Jackson Mountain Homes again.

Left on 06/08/2009 for a stay in May 2009
We enjoyed our stay in this mountain home. The view was nice. The bedrooms worked out well for our family. We had planned out who would stay in each of the bedrooms. We put our newly wed youngest son and his wife in the bedroom on third floor. There is no door to shut that bedroom off so they heard the talking and noise from the dining and living room area. But they didn't complain.
We brought extra towels and washcloths but the ones provided were enough. We just washed them a couple of times.
We were suprised to find other cabins so close to this one. Next time we will ask more questions.
All and all we had a wonderful time.
I had fun playing frogger, I haven't played that in many years.
The kids and grandkids enjoyed playing pool too.
I it is a pretty chalet and it was clean. The wireless was much appreciated for us who had our laptops with us.

House was nice, kitchen was a little crowded for a house built to accommodate 12 people. Parking was very limited and private one-way driveway is shared with two other houses. Black Bear Falls, however, is the best location in the Gatlinburg area, in my opinion. Close to downtown, grocery, the Arts and Craft Community, and not far from Pigeon Forge. This is my 5th time staying in this community, and love the steep walk to wake me up everymorning. I would suggest that you bring something to cover your eyes when you sleep, because the sun starts coming in the 3 master bedrooms about 6:30am, since there are no window treatments on the vaulted windows, but the light is great (if you aren't trying to sleep). If you go to the Arts and Crafts Community make sure to stop and visit Kevin at the Bead Bar, located at the far end of the loop next to the wood carving location. He makes GREAT jewelry! Tell him the girls from Ky sent you....Our picture is on his wall....

I heard about this place on wzct am 1330 and it was all and more than the ad could say. Spacious, Comfortable furniture, on sight entertainment (video games, pool table, etc.)great view and very relaxing. This cabin is what a Smokey mountain getaway is about! My only regret is that we didn't get to stay longer.
The only bad thing I could say about this place is that when you get home your wife will make you do some redecorating!!!!!

St. Petersburg, FloridaA great Smokey Mountain Christmas!
Left on 03/27/2009 for a stay in December 2008
My parents always said they would like to spend the holidays in the mountains and with my grandparents getting older, my husband and I figured... why not now? We got my aunt and uncle in Germany on board and started figuring out where and when. We found Summit Lodge through Jackson Mountain Homes which several of our friends had suggested.
Summit Lodge was perfect. Five bedrooms, five baths and of course a game room that drew in the men of the family at once. Of course I can't deny I got a little addicted to the Pac Man game!
Summit Lodge is perched just right in the subdivision with an unobstructed view of the mountains and Gatlinburg. It is conveniently located near a Food Lion grocery store for all your needs. The "lodge" itself was welcoming with its cabin feel and decor. The open living room/dining room/kitchen floor plan was perfect for meal times or game time! Having enough bedrooms and baths was important so that all 13 of our family members weren't waiting on others! It was a great place to celebrate the holidays and enough room so that each person could have their own space. The porches were marvelous to just sit and relax on (when it wasn't freezing cold of course). And the best part of Summit Lodge was that it was at the end of a drive, so we didn't have people constantly driving by or have to worry about parking for four cars.
I would highly recommend Summit Lodge for anyone who wishes to get away and take a bunch of family or friends with them. Whether it be a Smokey Mountain Christmas or a trip to see the leaves change in the fall. This is a place where wonderful memories can and will be made. Someday in the not so distant future our family hopes to return for another visit!
