First of all, let me be clear that Jackson Mt. Homes is, by far the best to deal with and efficient. However, Trails End was the most uncomfortable rental cabin we have stayed in. The furnishing are the worse beds couches, I believe I have experienced. This home has 2 levels with beds and 2 sofa beds. I never used the downstairs sofa but the main level lacked any comfort at all. The bed simply, horrible and was not a resting stay at all. This cabins could sleep 8 people and it does not a large enough common area to enjoy that many people to relax together. Also, there absolutely no closets to hang your clothes, just 2 small open built in racks. Additionally, on our second night at around 2am, someone was banging on the front door of the home, that woke the both of us. I was able to find around once I got up and never saw anyone leaving the area we were in. Needless to say, that night was not restful. After that episode, we felt very uneasy and left after the 3rd night. We also had a small dog with us and found that there very little green area for him to do his business. I do not say that this cabin would not some, but for us, it was a good experience. I will continue to use Jmh's but I will be more thorough when seeking another home in the future Read more
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Trail's End. We are very sorry to hear that you experienced any disappointment and concern. Sofa bed mattresses are designed thin so that they may easily fold into the sofa, which can mean they are not the most comfortable beds for adults. However, we will assess the sofa bed mattress for replacement. We certainly understand how disconcerting it must have been to be woken by someone knocking on the door. Being in a resort where cabins are very similar, it is quite possible that someone merely went to the wrong cabin and realized their mistake before you made it to the door. We appreciate your kind words and look forward to seeing you again soon!
Nice, but small. Not our first choice for location.

Cabin was very nice, but too small to be listed to sleep 8. There were 5 in our party and we felt very crowded in the living/kitchen area. Very hard to sit and relax in living room around fireplace with very limited seating/space.

As usual we had a great experience with Jackson Mountain Homes. We stayed at the Trail's End Cabin. First time in this cabin. Everything was perfect other then, the other cabins we have stayed in the past had a better view. Other then that, it was a great time. We never spend much time in the cabin anyway cause there is so much to so and see in the Smoky Mountains. Has got to be our favorite place to get away.

All you need to bring are food and clothing. Everything else is there. This cabin has a great view and we spent a lot of time on the back porch in the rocking chairs just looking at the mountain scenery. It is also pet friendly and our dog loved the place. It is very close to downtown Gatlinburg also. We also liked the keyless code entry system which we assume changes from guest to guest. There are other cabins around you at different elevations, but on the porch view area where most time is spent you still have a rustic feel with many trees around you. We really enjoyed our stay here.

This is a very nice home for 4 adults and a child. We came down for an extended weekend and were very happy with the cabin. Wonderful view and the hot tub and pool table made it a great trip. Didn't see any bears but apparently one got into the trash in the cabin below us. Will definitely stay with Jackson Mountain homes gain.

We spent a week in this cabin and it was by far a great experience. We were quickly settled in and all the necessary equipment came with the cabin. We even got to see a black bear that was trash can hopping!! We went to many attractions in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and wouldn't stay anywhere else.

I have stayed in cabins before around Gatlinburg but this cabin was very affordable and fit our family of four very well. Some other homes were close but we never felt privacy was an issue. We were far enough away from the hustle of downtown Gatlinburg but close enough to get anywhere we wanted to visit. A few more items to cook with related to the area would have been nice since I like to cook but it is understandable since it is a rental. The hot tub was nice and the people were super friendly and even called us our first day to make sure everything was good. We would definitely look at Jackson Mountain homes in the future and Trail's end would be great for our next trip to Gatlinburg.

This was our first time in TN and it was the best vacation ever! The cabin was immaculate and much more than we were expecting. We stayed at Trail's End and I really don't think we could've found a better cabin. Everything was clean and tidy, the location was perfect and close to all the attractions, and the staff was so amazing! We got lost on the way coming from Ft. Myers, FL and the staff lead us right to the front door of their office. They were all so pleasant and friendly and professional. The view from Trail's End was absolutely breath taking and the jacuzzi was so relaxing after long days of fun. We felt as though we were right at home and didn't want to leave! I would recommend Jackson Mountain Homes and Trail's End cabin to any and everyone! As a matter of fact, we'be already started plans to go back next year!

Jackson Mountain Homes was easy to find and the staff were wonderful. The cabin was in the mountains in a beautiful area and it was clean and comfortable. The kids (12,14)loved the pool table and the extra blankets for night-time movie watching. The cabin had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed white-water rafting with Smoky Mountain Outdoors (using a free ticket from JMH!) and hiking in the park as well as a little shopping. It was a wonderful trip and we'll definitely recommend JMH to any friends headed to Gatlinburg!!

We loved the Trail's End cabin. It was a nice, little, cozy place! The kids loved the pool table! The cabin was very clean. The check in was easy. The cabin was located in a good community with a community pool. The hot tub on the porch is a good place to relax after a long day. It was convenient to get to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the Smokey Mountain Park. The only things we didn't like, were the towels, although abundant, could have been thicker/bigger. The mattress on the bed was quite lumpy, could use updating. Other cabins are close by, so it was maybe not as private as we would have liked, but overall those were small things, that really did not take away from the great time we had at the cabin. Read more
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Trail's End. We are happy to hear that you loved it! The home was just beautiful, it had perfect views, and everything u needed. It was the cleanest place I've ever stayed and the beds were so comfy. It was a much needed "moms get away" for 4 of us and we had plenty of room and we definitely put the hot tub to use. We cannot wait to come back!! I made calls to several places and I really chose Trails End based on the customer service I received. The staff was so accommodating, professional, and nice. We rented this cabin to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday. It was her first time in Gatlinburg and she was simply astonished by the entire trip. The cabin was very well maintained and was a cozy way for us to enjoy some family time. The pool table provided hours of friendly competition and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub.

We had some difficulty getting into the cabin- we were given the wrong access code. Once inside we enjoyed the cabin. Ample space for a two bedroom unit- much better than a cramped hotel room. Everything was well maintained and it was a very serene setting especially on the front porch.

The house was well stocked with everything we needed except groceries of course. We cooked a lot, so we could have used some sharper knives, but that was all. It was very comfortable and the view was great. We enjoyed to hot tub, too! I really liked the jacuzzi tub in our room. The location was not too far up the mountain so easy enough to find. We never saw any bears, but something got into the trash in the bin behind the house...

Trails End is very clean and the kitchen was stocked very well with all necessary equipment and then some! We thought the downstairs area was cozy, the bedroom and bath were nice. On the downside, the bed in the upstairs bedroom is very uncomfortable and is very squeeky. It really should be replaced. We did not care for the
living room area as there is room only for the one couch and so we could not all sit comfortably together and watch TV. I would also suggest a lamp in living room. Overhead lighting only doesn'th feel very cozy. We did enjoy the hot tub-it was nice and spacious. I would suggest also to add some more games and maybe some books in the cabin. As always the staff at JMH were superb and so kind and welcoming!

It was a great trip. The house was clean and neat. The furniture was a little uncomfortable, but other than that. Nice. Really needs some lights on the side of the house where the walkway is especially since the bears like to bring trash from other houses to explore through in the woods right beside the steps. Yes, Big bears! Read the warnings and take them seriously. Seeing the bear go from house to house was pretty amazing. Have your camera ready. I missed a great photo opportunity. We thought a lot more of sightseeing in Pigeon Forge than Gatlinburg. Gatlinburg came across as a tourist trap for us. Parking fees were ridiculous in Gatlinburg. Have a wonderful trip.

This was one of the cleanest vacation rentals I have ever stayed in, even the porch was free of debris, cobwebs etc. Cudos to the cleaning crew.
The only negatives that stood out was the lack of seating on the porch. There were only 2 rocking chairs on the deck and there were 4 adults. Also, although there were numerous knives I couldn't find one that could cut vegetables.
Other than those minor inconveniences it was great.

Check-in was a breeze. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We had only two days in Gatlinburg. Wish our travel plans had allowed us to really relax and enjoy the cabin. We did little more than get in before dark and go to bed. The other cabins in the subdivision were a little closer than we expected, but for two women traveling alone that was OK. I would love to stay here again some time.

Thank you for taking the time to complete a review regarding your recent stay at Trail’s End. We are terribly sorry to hear that you experienced any problem. Trail’s End is a non-smoking cabin; however, it appears that a previous renter smoked inside the cabin. We understand that your smoke allergy made you sensitive to the cigarette smell and have noted this fact in your records. We strive to ensure that each guest will have the perfect vacation; however, we realize that problems may occasionally arise. The next time you visit, if you experience any problem, please contact the office right away and we will take the necessary action to rectify the situation immediately. We would be happy to move you to another cabin so that you could have the nice, relaxing vacation that you have come to know and expect from Jackson Mountain Homes. Again, we are terribly sorry and hope that you will give us the opportunity in the future to provide you with the perfect vacation experience.

The cabin had everything we needed to have a wonderful relaxing week. It was quiet and peaceful there. We could find plenty to do in town or in the smokies and then come back and chill out. The only complaint (if I have to find one) we had is the air conditioning unit was right next to the bedroom which would waken us when it kicked on.

This is a very nice cabin in Black Bear Falls. It has a nice mountain view. It is very cozy, but roomy enough for a family. There is a downstairs area with a gameroom, bedroom, and bathroom, which would be great if you are traveling with teens. The cabin was very clean, and the beds are comfortable. It is located about 5 minutes from downtown, in a nice log cabin community. There are neighbors close by, so it is not as private as some. However, this was not an issue with us but may be for some. I would definitely recommend this cabin! Jackson Rentals was also very helpful in answering questions about the area. They also called us the day before arrival to give us alternate travel directions due to heavy traffic anticipated for the Christmas parade!

What a cozy cute cabin! Very clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed. Even though in December the leaves were off the trees, we had beautiful sunrises and crisp clear air. I am so glad we didn't stay at the hotel in town where my husband's meeting was. This made our trip feel more like a mini-vacation and we were close enough to downtown to enjoy the shopping and restaurants.

We really enjoyed the view from this cabin, the cheerful kitchen and the layout. The jacuzzi and pool table provided entertainment for us, although we never made it down to the pool near the entrance. The only drawback was the water heater being in the master bedroom upstairs. A little odd but not a deal breaker.
Otherwise, perfect, especially since they allowed our dear dog who is very well behaved. She rested on the porch and kept watch for us.

This is the third cabin we've had and it was as wonderful as the last two. Very clean, very nice. No one wanted to leave! The kids loved the pool table and games, we all enjoyed the hot tub, I loved the big comfy beds and jacuzzi tub, my husband loved having a TV near no matter what room he was in! We saved money on food by eating most of our meals in our cabin (or, rather, on the deck!). It was quiet and we had no problems whatsoever. We will most definitely be back!

Other than it being hard for our dogs to find a good spot to "do their business" in the mountains, it was a wonderful trip!!! The cabin was located just minutes from Gatlinburg. The furniture in the cabin was all extremely comfortable and rarely do I find good matresses on the road, but there was no complaint here!!! The kitchen was well stock with plenty of dishes and pots and pans. The TVs, internet and pool table were enjoyed by all for some late night winding down time. rarely do you spend money on something and get a lot more than advertised - Trail's End was that for us. We traveled during Passover and needed to make our own meals in Gatlinburg. This log cabin community was a 2 minute drive from a great grocery store...the kitchen and cooking items were a great size and well stocked..and the cabin atmosphere was so homey - my three girls had trouble leaving to do all the Smoky Mountain activities! With 2 king-size bed rooms, 2 additional couch beds, a hot tub and master-suite jacuzzi - we had everything we needed to relax as a couple and a family. The view was incredible and the price was amazing. We are already planning our return trip - thanks!

We checked in late, but it was easy using a code to the key closet at the office. The cabin location was very convenient, just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, and because it was in a community of cabins, it didn't feel too secluded. Yet, there was enough separation. Was advertised as having a mountain view and I paid extra for that, but there was another cabin in our view, and we could just see a bit of the mountain range. The furnishings were very nice, except there were no kleenex or hair dryer, which I guess differentiates a cabin from a hotel. Some of the rooms had carpeted floors, and it looked like the carpets needed cleaning. We took my small dog, and that made for an extra special vacation, since the cabins are pet friendly, but I had trouble walking her on the very steep hillside, and she had trouble going to the bathroom on the side of a mountain. One special treat was our neighbor who played the dulcimer on his porch, and it was extremely relaxing to take in the fresh mountain air on the porch swing while listening to the beautiful mountain music.

Our family had a great time staying at Trail's End. We have three young children and they were in love with the cabin, the view, and the pool. We loved the hot tub, front porch, and the kitchen (saved us from eating out constantly). The location was perfect. We were far enough away from Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge that it was quiet and beautiful but close enough that we could easily get into town and the activity that is centered there. The view was amazing and I can not wait to go back.
