Twin Creeks is an antique, architectural rarity. Hand built in 1937 with hand peeled post and beam framing using two by fours and logs laid tongue and groove, it resided initially in the national park until it was eventually moved to its present location in Webb Creek. It has a place in area history belonging at one time to a member of the Ogles, one of Gatlinburg's oldest families. This all wood house offers a unique rustic atmosphere that is reminiscent of bygone pioneer days in the Smokies. The lodge features a large stone fireplace in its massive great room, antique stained glass windows, a log staircase and a beautiful property with two... creeks, a bridge, a picnic pavilion with built in benches and a swing, a large deck and additional outdoor seating areas. With tasteful interior furnishings, modern comforts such as the 42" HDTV above the fireplace make this historic property even more appealing. A vacation at Twin Creeks is a memory making experience that will take you back and the perfect choice for your family getaway year after year. Welcome home!
Additional amenities include: pool table, washer/dryer, ramp for easy access to entry, access to gatlinburg community center , - billiards, bowling alley, indoor pool, basketball, racquet ball and walking track nearby., creekside picnic area and deck with swing, pets under 25lb, parking spaces (6), approximately 12 minutes from downtown gatlinburg, flat panel HDTV in living room, fireplace-wood (seasonal) (), pets any size, DVD (1), updated march 2009.Read more

Great stay! We have stayed with Jackson Homes 5+ times and are never disappointed - always great cabins. Our family decided to stay at Twin Creeks cabin this time because we wanted a river's edge view - it was beautiful. Very nice landscaping & swings to enjoy the sound of the rippling water. There are neighbors but back yard and deck very secluded. Weather turned cold while we were there and we were able to use the great, big beautiful fire place and had hot-dogs and marshmallows for dinner one night cooked in the fireplace; so fun! The cabin itself was rustically charming - restrooms small but accommodating. The history of the cabin was intriguing - wished there would have been "moving" photos or history posted in cabin - would have been interesting. Drive to cabin from Gatlinburg was a little longer for the infant with us but the rest of us were OK with it. There was a minor repair that needed attention (seemed from previous visitors) when we arrived and the repair person was out within 30 minutes and offered help with anything else we needed - very nice even though it was a weekend repair. We just love Jackson Mountain Homes - staff & cabins!
Had a great time on our family vacation!

Nice historic home. Clean. Spacious. Modern amenities. The back yard was very nice with the decks and swings by the creeks. Peaceful. The location of the house is farther out from Gatlinburg than we expected - about 10 miles. Very nice, just be aware of the drive distance.

We loved the historic cabin, All the wood was so interesting in how it was built. I loved the fireplace. It was big and really nice. Plenty of room except for the Bath rooms. They were a little quirky. I'm a big guy over 6ft 3 in. One area was hard for me to get around in. If you are looking for new and perfect don't expect that. Very rustic and original. Just what I want when I stay in the mountains.

We was very disappointed in this cabin. The upkeep on this cabin is poor, no locks on doors drains stopped up, ants in house, one electrical outlet in whole kitchen. Satallite didn't work half the time, beer cans were left all over back yard, toilet seat was hanging on the wall when we arrived. bathrooms are small. Just didn't ejoy the stay here like all my previous stays at other cabins. The staff on the other hand is very friendly and no complaints about them at all! Read more
Thank you for taking the to review your stay at Twin Creeks. We apologize for any disappointment you experienced. We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention during your stay so that we were able to send someone to the cabin right away to take of them. Again we apologize and sincerely hope that you will choose Jackson Mountain Homes in the future.

Loved the cabin, loved the location, loved the back yard and especially the creeks. We are already talking about coming back next year hopefully to the same cabin.

The service was great when I arrive
The home was just what my wife wanted
The location was a little bit far out for me
Best was the romms was big
Least was the bathrooms was real small, but you have to remimber that when this cabin was built there was no indoor plumbing

The cabin was very nice and very clean . We all enjoyed the quietness of the area and the sounds of the creeks at night. The hot tub was a hit with all.Thank you for allowing us to stat there and have a great family vacation. Some of us had not been together for a number of years so this was a great place to reunite.

A Wonderful Place to Stay

Twin Creeks is a wonderful cabin to stay in, especialy for those that may have younger children/grandchildren that will be staying there. We arrived late at night but the cabin was made ready for night arrival with lights left on, really made you feel welcome. There is sufficient parking for 3-4 vehicles. The property itself is level in the back after going down some steps, with two shallow creeks and a bridge for the kids to play in. The picture of the kitchen made it look kind of small, but it is actually large enough for 3 people to be working in. The two downstairs bedrooms have queen sized beds, one with an attached bathroom, perfect for those that might have difficulties with going up and down steps. The two upstairs bedrooms are large and perfect for families. Prior reviews indicate that the bathrooms are on the smaller side. It's not so much that they are small, they are just laid out a little strange, probably due to the fact that the cabin was not originally built with bathrooms. There is not a level floor in the cabin but that just adds to the fun and character of the cabin. We've stayed in several cabins through the years and I have to say that Twin Creeks is without a doubt the best and most fun cabin that we've stayed in. The only downside to the cabin is the fact that we couldn't stay longer!

Though I like the rustic style and the excellent backyard with scenic creek flowing through it (the kids had a ball in the creek), the house could use a could cleaning. At night it was difficult to sit in the living room with the family due to the overwhelming odor of sut from the fire place. It was so bad it would make your eyes burn and we didn't even start a fire. The upstairs bedrooms had a musty smell and evidence of some sort of growth on the ceilings near the air vents. The upstairs room had a king bed that might as well have been a bean bag because you roll to the middle when you get in it. We've stayed in several of the Jackson Mountain rentals but won't be returning to this one. Read more
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review regarding your recent stay at Twin Creeks. We are terribly sorry to hear that your stay was anything less than perfect. We will have the bed assessed for replacement immediately and we have already scheduled the cabin to be deep cleaned. The extremely windy conditions that we have been experiencing could have stirred soot inside the fireplace, causing it to smell more strongly than it typically would. Thank you for letting us know, so that we may have it taken care of right away. We appreciate your understanding. Again, we are terribly sorry and hope that you will give us the opportunity to provide you with the great vacation experience that you have come to know and expect from Jackson Mountain Homes.

This is what the Smokies is all about. Even though the
cabin had uneven floors, a small shower a toilet area, I
could feel the original family and became a pioneer like
they were at one time. Our two children and three grandchildren, husband and myself decided on the first
night, we want to come back to this cabins again. Oh what fun and laughter we had. Your housekeeping staff
with Jackson Mountain are outstanding! We look forward
to working with Jackson Mountain Homes in the near future

We are parents travelling with high school and college aged children and their boyfriends. Plenty of sleeping room for the 8 of us. Cabin is very original, quaint. I had read other reviews of quirky bathrooms but only one bathroom was small and it wasn't smaller than one on a cruise ship. The other two were roomy enough and nice. The dining table and great room accomodated all 8 of us nicely. To step out of the cabin to walkdown to the twin creeks and to sit and swing by the creeks was just awesome. Very relaxing. It is close to neighbors but with the trees it was very private. It was about 8 miles from town so seems a little far but worth it if your time is managed and trips "to town" scheduled. Overall, it was just a great place and one in which I would return. My family just loved it too.
I couldn't be happy with my decision to stay at Twin Creeks.

Twin Creeks is not as private as I had hoped, with neighbors on either side. However, once we started spending time on the huge porch, it began to feel much more secluded. The cabin was wonderful and crooked (which added to the charm). We had an issue with a broken door knob, but maintenance fixed it promptly! The cabin was perfect for the 10 mid-20s people who came. There was plenty of room for all of us! The fuse upstairs would blow every time we tried to plug a blow dryer in, but no biggie... we just used one downstairs. The hot tub was far hotter than necessary, but it was spacious and comfy. We all loved every bit of our stay, from the comfy beds to the creek that our dog played in! Food City and Gatlinburg were only about 10 miles down the road... Easy access! I would definitely recommend this Cabin and would like to stay at Twin Creeks again! Everyone was very friendly at Jackson Mountain Homes. Big plus!!
One of the showers is really small (as I read on other peoples reviews), but there is a full size one less than 10 feet away. No problem there!

This cabin was perfect for our stay. We had two "4 legged' grandchildren that loved the backyard and the two creeks that ran through the property. It was peaceful and secluded. The cabin had the perfect "smell" of an old rustic home that added to the vacation experience. We will definitely come back to this property.

We came to Twin Creeks for the Smokey Mt wedding of our son. Twin Creeks cabin was spacious and very suitable for the 10 people that stayed there. We loved reading the short history of the cabin and other people's experiences while visiting the cabin. The cabin was rustic and might not be suitable for everyone, but we found it a great place to stay. We were very impressed with how well equiped the kitchen of the cabin was. We cooked all our meals and found pots, pans, etc. large enough to meet the needs of 10 people.

cabin was ok overall. the upstairs bath was tiny and could hardly maneuver to the toilet which was blocked in by the sink. The tub with a sprayer does not make a very good shower. The first day we had to have someone come out to fix the a/c and the unit gurgled and made noise throughout the stay. The downstairs bath off of the kitchen was an ok size, but with the shower was tiny and not well kept, and it was difficult for anyone larger than 100 lbs to squeeze into the toilet nook. The beds were good and the cabin layout also.
Also, Because the cabin is not near cell reception, it would have been very beneficial to have internet in the cabin for making plans/reservations while we were there. Read more
Thank you for your comments. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay. We are sorry to hear that the size of the bathroom of this particular cabin didn't work well for you. We will monitor the A/C unit to make sure it continues to work properly. We will also forward your suggestion for internet service to the owner. Cabin wasn't as clean as expected, however, the yard was really nice, especially if traveling with children. Refrigerator went out the first day, we lost some food, but Jackson Homes was very responsive and able to get a new unit in quickly. Cabin was roomy, bathrooms very small which would have been ok but they just weren't that clean. (I believe they contracted with a new cleaning service, which may have been the problem.) Overall, we had a good time - and kids loved the backyard.

We loved Twin Creeks! We liked the privacy and the kids had outside to play. If we were being technical, I think the oven needs to be looked at. It cooked some things uneven. Other than that, we are going to book this cabing again

We like rustic. We'd don't care if the floor's not completely level or if the are more than a few quirks. The back yard is like a private, spacious park. Oodles of room for meals and games and reading--good fit for us again (up to 13 of us plus a dog!). Not as clean as we would have thought with previous JMH rentals (large area rug in FR needs a serious cleaning). And bedroom doors really do need to shut and latch with small children around.
Still we had a great time. Read more
Thank you for your comments. We are happy to hear that you had a great time. We apologize about the area rug needing to be shampooed, it has now been professionally cleaned. We will have someone assess the bedroom doors and make any necessary repairs. We hope that you will visit us again soon!

We had a wonderful time. We stayed in one of the other cabins last year and it was nice but there was no outdoor space. This one was absolutely perfect!! The creeks and deck was our hang out area and we enjoyed our stay. We plan to get the same cabin next year if it is available---if fact for a longer stay!!
The only issues we had were that the bathrooms were tight but that is minor. The other issue was that the wind picked up several times---this was the week end that Nashville was bombarded with rain---and the hot tub cover fell twice. Once it fell right on top of my head--it is a good thing I am so hardheaded!! :)
I would pack up and move there if I could!!
I appreciate the generousity of the owners!

Twin creeks is a well decorated historic cabin in a great quiet location that is very easy to get to. The property is wonderful with swings and ample outdoor seating. Webb Creek is a nice quiet community. The arrangement of the facilities in the bathrooms were interesting; but the owners did what they could with a 80 year old home. The overall location, amenities and historical aspects of this cabin make it a very cozy place to stay.
Loved the cabin

We loved Twin Creeks, but if you don't like rustic you won't like this cabin. We were surprised at how large it was, much larger than it looked in the pictures. But it was still cozy and warm. From inside you felt like you were isolated and didn't feel like anyone was nearby. The backyard was huge with benches and swings to sit by the creeks, but it snowed and was much too cold so we just enjoyed the wood burning fireplace inside. After just 3 days, the office called to see if we needed more firewood and had it delivered that night. Two of the bathrooms were small, but there was a large one in the master bedroom. This cabin had so much character. I loved that it was hand built. Nothing was straight or even. If you like old and rustic, this is the place for you. Only one thing I would change. There was only one telephone in the entire cabin and it was a corded phone in the kitchen. It definately needs at least one cordless phone. This is the second time we have rented from Jackson Mountain Homes and have been so pleased with everything from the person handling our reservations to the cabins themselves. Have just made a reservation with them again.
A little piece of heaven on earth!

We had such a wonderful time here. You get a real feel for a cabin in the mountains! It's the "real thing", not one of those cookie cutter cabins cluttering the mountainsides. Although this cabin isn't exactly in the mountains, the property is absolutely beautiful! There are two creeks behind the house and it's actually very private. You really couldn't ask for anything better! It doesn't have the modern bathrooms of the newer cabins, but it really doesn't matter! My only complaint wouls be that it needs more lamps and better lighting. We were here with kids and grandkids and they all loved it and want to know when we can go back! The kitchen is well-equipped. I think it's one of the best places in the Smokies!
Wonderful family vacation.

It was perfect for our family of six adults and four children. We were able to all sit together and watch tv or enjoy the fire place. We were all even able to fit in the clean hot tub. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed and we loved be able to do our laundry. It was close to Gatlinburg and the back yard was beautiful.
The wood for the fireplace was wet so hard to keep a fire going and we would have appreciated an eye on the back screen door so we would be able to lock it. The only other thing that happened was our granddaughter left her Nintendo DS there and housekeeping was unable to locate it.
Lots of room for family and yard for dogs.

Twin Creeks is real, not like the multitude of cabins that have been built in the last 30 years that try to imitate it and its few brethren. It has a history and a soul. If you can't handle the quirks of difficult bathrooms, or are looking for a stay rather than an experience, exit here. Otherwise, go to Twin Creeks. You'll be glad you did.
Charming, but not what I expected.

The home is decorated quite charming and the living room very large and comfortable. We also liked the yard and creeks behind the home.
Our disappointment was with the lighting, bathrooms and kitchen. One bathroom was updated and spacious and another very small and hard to move in. There was not a standard size shower in here and the toilet was located between two narrow walls. Because many of our guests were older, and had difficulty getting up and down, the upstairs claw footed bathtub did not meet our needs either.
The kitchen was outdated and had only one outlet. In addition the house was dark and made reading difficult in the living and bedrooms.
This house is an original cabin from the Smokey Mountain forest and has great historic value. Unfortuneatly, it was too rustic for our group and we had to move to another home after only one night.
Thank you for your comments. Twin Creeks is indeed a rustic cabin. It was first located in Elkmont. When that are became part of the Smoky Mountain National Park, the cabin was literally cut in half and moved to it's current location. The logs are all still the original and you can even see the spot where they wrote "cut here" for the move. The cabin owners have been working over the past few years to update things like windows and furniture. They will continue to update the cabin in the future. We will be sure to share with them your comments regarding lighting, the bathrooms and additional outlets. We appreciate your time! Thank you again!

My friend liked the idea of the wood cabin and it's rustic appearance, so we decided on it. WE were not disappointed. The inside is very tastefully decorated. The kitchen had all the things we needed and cooked quite a bit. The weather was rainy so we didn't get to enjoy the back yard much. Only walked down to the river once. My friend said that if we come back, she wants the same cabin.
