little town in Oklahomahoneymoon destination?
Left on 12/29/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Our visit was interesting to say the least. We arrived to find our hot tub empty and the jets throwing water all over the back porch. I was like no big deal i don't even like hot tubs. We had been driving for 14 hours so a hot shower sounded lovely. Went upstairs to find no hot water either. I called the office which was closed so we decided to ditch hygeine and enjoy our honeymoon. Called the office the next morning and waited till well after noon before my hot water was on. Hot tub never worked and i think something happened to the washer and dryer... They were not there and was suppose to be. Oh and we also lost power though not the office fault. To their credit they offered to move us to a near by cabin and refunded a night of our stay. But for a man who spent 26 years looking forward to this night could have gone smoother for the price we paid for our luxury cabin that when we arrived was not very luxurious. A couple of gray hairs but the rest of the week was lovely. We enjoyed our stay... collected lots funny stories to tell the family when we arrived back home!!!
There was much unneeded stress and lots of unwelcome guests (ants) spend the first day of my honeymoon with maintenance men rather than my beautiful bride.
If you have a good sense of humor come on down. -

Louisville, KYBest thing was the view

Great view. The drive up was definitely exciting the first couple of times. Secluded...good. No one looking thru the windows but wildlife. The couch was a great disappointment...there were several of us and we had to sit on it!! The beds were king sized and ok but someone thought a flat sheet on the bottom would work...I does not! Esp. when it lies atop a plastic liner that slides!!! The kitchen and dining area was ample and the windows let in lots of light and great views. The shower was small, especially when shared with a plethora of fruit gnats... That fireplace puts out a ton of heat for it's size!!! We would stay there again if the bugs were under control! Good location for going in either direction each day! :)

We so enjoyed our stay at astonishing Views. It had plenty of space and lots of seclusion. Our only complaint was that the hot tub cover was previously damaged and woul soak up the water causing it to way so much we could barely move it. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed astonishing Views cabin very much. It was nicely decorated and private. We enjoyed the view from the deck, but the two white rocking chairs were broken. So disappointed about that. But overall we certainly enjoyed our trip and will stay with american Patriot Getaways again.

Stow OHNo water!
Left on 08/24/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The cabin was perfect and the view was as advertised. First morning wake up to no water. It takes a half of a day to get someone out to look into the problem. Another two hours to find out it can't be fixed and we have to move. American Patriot Getaways did move us into an upgraded cabin, but we lost the privacy and view we had with aV. Basically an entire day was lost on our vacation by the time we pack-up and un-pack. We felt that aPG should have done something (dinner certificates, show tickets) for our lost day.

great location. pretty isolated which for us is a plus. Downside is that when we booked this chalet we were under the impression that a washer dryer was available. it was not. The hot tub was fine and acceptable. As were the whirlpool tubs. patio furniture was the pits. would not sit on the chairs on a bet.nor eat off the patio table. Both the table and chairs were in bad shape. Had a rodent problem with mice, but not unexpected in the woods. Overall i would not recommend this property.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Liked the spaciousness. No-hassle checkin and checkout was very much appreciated. Long drive, got there late, didn't have to go somewhere else to check in, get key, etc. Just got the code by phone and walked in. Real selling point to me. Price was very attractive, would also cause us to come back. Only suggestion (maybe not possible): Cut down that big pine tree right in front of balcony!

Nashville, TNAstonishing view, comfortable stay, and challenging drive!
Left on 03/10/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We enjoyed our stay at astonishing Views. The hot tub was a favorite after days of driving in the rain and skiing in the mist. The kitchen, porches, and upstairs bathrooms were nice. The beds in the bedrooms were comfortable. On the downside, it did not have enough towels, the pull out couch was broken, and the washer and dryer were missing. Management offered to fix the couch, but we did not check in until fairly late and only stayed the weekend. We appreciated the website's advice about bringing towels for the hot tub. We used our own towels and placed the pull-out mattress on the floor. We still had a good stay.

The cabin was spacious, clean and comfortable. The seclusion added to my ability to relax yet we were less than 5 miles from local attractions. The view from the master suite was breathtaking especially at night with all the lights in the valley below. I cannot wait until we can visit again!

We stayed at "Astonishing Views" for our anniversary. It was wonderful, quiet, and private. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the drive up...it was pretty steep. If it is snowy or icy, you might want to be sure you have a four-wheel drive or a car with good traction. Other than that, it was perfect. It had two full bedrooms with their own bathrooms. The balcony view was lovely. The kitchen and dining are would be great for a family; they are roomy and well-equipped.
