Experience a comfortable and relaxing vacation by staying in this third-floor 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom Gearhart vacation home. The unit offers a southwest ocean view, fully furnished kitchen, and comfortable living room. Located on the third floor, the rental can accommodate up to four travelers. Bed options consist of a queen bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed. If you're a movie buff, you'll appreciate the DVD player so feel free to bring all your favorite movies. There's a lot to do in the area, including fishing, golf, and antique shopping.

I have stayed at Gearhart House several times over the past few years and have been satisfied with both the units I stayed in and their service.
However, this particular unit badly needs updating. Everything in this unit screams Cheap! Both beds (in the bedroom and the sofa-sleeper) were uncomfortable and noisy. Bathroom--vanity drawers would not close straight. Kitchen--sink drain was rusty and refrigerator did not have an external handle. Sliding door--security bar was missing and door was hard to close. Balcony--paint was peeling from the partitions. Curtains--pull rod was not attached and could only be attached with a paper clip; curtains were in disrepair.Response from Gearhart by the Sea - 02/14/2011

I am sorry to find out that your unit was not in good shape. Unit 662 has had a lot of upgrades completed on it and I do not see the issues you mentioned relating to this unit. It could be possible it was another unit that you stayed in. All the guest reviews we have had in regards to unit 662 have been positive since the upgrades were completed.
