Pet-friendly and amenity-filled, this third-floor 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom vacation rental is worth your consideration. The home features a DVD player, stereo, and ocean view. Feeling sleepy? Then lie down atop the king bed in the bedroom or the sofa bed. When you wake up, feel free to watch a movie with the DVD player. When you're hungry go into the fully equipped kitchen and prepare something delicious. If you bring pets to this unit, the fee is $11 per night per pet. Add to your vacation pleasure by playing some golf, strolling along the beach, and shopping for antiques.

The accommodations at Gearhart by the Sea are old and poorly cared for. We first stayed in unit 666. The unit smelled bad upon arrival. Furnishings and fixtures appeared to be from the 60's or 70's. the shower did not work. The screen door fell off when we tried to open it. the knifes and many of the other utensils were worn to the point of uselessness.

After you checked out of the unit you told me of those issues and we had them fixed right away I am sorry that you had to deal with any of these issues to begin with. Every unit is individually owned and decorated to the owners taste. I will share your review with the owner.

The room was great. McMinamins was very pricey, slow, high pressure sales with bad food. I don't think I have had such a bad, not poor, but as bad an eating experience for a long long time, I thinking back to the mess hall maybe? definitely stay at the inn, definitely eat somewhere else.

we have stayed at gearhart resort several times and this time needed a pet friendly unit. this unit was on the 3rd floor, was somewhat updated, and had a fully stocked kitchen which was great(not all units are so well stocked). the only downsides to this unit were the facts that the mattress is sagging a bit and the tv remote didn't work.

There is never a bad time to go to the beach, especially when you can sit by the fire and watch the storms roll in. Even more fun is watching the elk cruise through the dunes. Condo was clean and well stocked - no complaints!

We arrived late at night and found the resort easy enough, but could not locate the resort office right away. The office is located across the road from the resort in the resaurant. The resort sign was not illuminated, but we sure could see the "Pizza" sign lit up. Very confusing. When I mentioned this to the person at the deck all I got was "Yah, it happens a lot." Really?
Our stay was great, and the walk to the beach very enjoyable. Our room was clean and very comfortable and we appreciated the pet friendly environment. -

We've stayed in this condo several times now because they allow dogs-it's the nicest 1 bedrm that allows pets.
Kitchen could be updated as far as cabinets & countertops, new bedding would be nice as well but hey!...we're at the beach!
This is a very comfortable, nice, relaxing place to enjoy with my daughter and my 2 young grandchildren. Incredible views! -

We have spending a week at Gearhart by the Sea nearly every summer for over 30 years. We will be there again at the end of this month. Room 666 is actually on the 3rd floor, with a beautiful ocean view. The condo is very comfortable and the owners welcome pets...we always request it!

I only travel with my two girls, Ellie- Border Terrier and Emma-Pug(blind). The girls felt at home with a fresh smell as I walked into the room. The property others plenty of room to romp around and with a short walk to the beach...it's perfect! It's like a home away from home. My husband is Kuwait with the Navy and there is no other place I would rather take my girls. Thanks Gearhart by the Sea

We went to Gearhart by the Sea for a wedding that our friends where having at the McMinamins across the street. The room was a little retro with the decor but was very clean and had a great view. It was also pet friendly. We would definitely stay stay again.

We have been coming to Gearhart for many years (30?) and love the beach, the ocean and the quiet. Sadly, the units are declining and elevator service is poor or not working.. We still recommend Gearhart to friends and hope to see some upgrades on the units. We will be back in February again.

We were very comfortable! The furnishings and condition of the room were very nice helping us to feel comfortable and relaxed. We wish we were closer to the beach and had a better clear view of ocean but other wise the room amenities were great! Thank you!

It was mothers day weekend with our dogs and it was awesome. Unfortunately due to death in the family we haven't found the time to get back. But we will when we get done with all the lawyers, accountants, family nd such. A break will sorely be needed. Room #666 was fantastic as was all the staff we met.

We stay in Gearhart at least twice a year and G666 is one of our favorite rooms. The TV is great, the bed is very comfortable, and each time we come, the kitchen is stocked better.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was convenient, and nice and quiet. The kitchen was well-equipped. We wish we could have had some more blankets, but that was all we were missing.
