Escape the stress of daily life by having a wonderful and relaxing vacation in this charming fourth-floor 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit. You will enjoy the Ocean view from the windows. Bedding includes a Queen bed in master bedroom, two twin beds in second bedroom, and a sofa bed. Other amenities include two TVs, DVD/VCR player, and a Wet bar. So feel free to bring all your favorite movies and enjoy them in the evenings with the family while lounging around on the living room sofa. Gearhart House is a no smoking property. Smoking is not allowed on decks or in public areas.

We have been visiting Gearhart by the Sea for many years. My last stay was with a friend in G708, which was updated and beautiful! The units were built in the 70's, and vary on the updating. Regardless, I have found them all to be spacious, clean and comfortable. What I love about this place is the view, the indoor pool and hot tub for my kids, a good restaurant nearby, and the peaceful, small town atmosphere. We can cook full meals and stay indoors if we want, and it is affordable for our family of five! Having large windows with a panoramic view of the ocean, along with a full service condo is the best. It's a great place in any kind of weather! We have tried other beach destinations, but we keep coming back to Gearhart by the Sea!

We always enjoy staying at Gearhart by the Sea. All of those who work there are so helpful. I was shocked to find out that the unit we stayed in first was a deluxe. We were ready to leave for good. Then we were transferred to Unit 708. Thank you, thank you.

Our family got to experience the "great tsunami" 2011 which was an event. Being so high up we were safe to stay and had the whole place to ourselves. The room had amazing views with a great big balcony. We will be back.

I have been coming down to Gearhart with my family for the past 14 years and have stayed in Gearhart House each time. It is always nice to have a lot of room for everyone, because sometimes the weather in april can be iffy. We have stayed in several rooms on the first floor and only once on this floor. No matter where we stay it is always clean and the staff is always courteous. I always want to stay longer.

We verymuch enjoyed our stay in G708. We spent the most time watching peoplke get stuck in the sand on the beach. They never seemed to undeerstand that the sand was solft. Oh well!! Other than that it was a great experience and one we are likely to repeat.

I have stayed in units we didn't like in this same complex but this one was really nice. The manager (Paul T) cares about his guests and the complex. The people that come make the beds & refresh the towels are very nice and accommodating. The view is beautiful and the unit is clean. The pool is a little cold for the little ones and I think it could be cleaned more regularly and thoroughly.

We had a wonderful time. The views from the balcony were astounding. It was very clean and welcoming. During our stay I lost a diamond earring down the sink drain while washing my face and the maintenance crew came up and got it out for me. Very nice people. So thankful for the overall experience.

We have stayed in this unit the last four times...and treat it as though it is our own. The remodeling of the kitchen area is excellent!
We have been going to Gearhart by the Sea (Tillamook House) since the mid-seventies...and are most familiar with its accomodations. The sofa is comfortable but too big for the room. We will be back...for the same room!!! -

Returned to Gearhart House with my own kids and the grandparents - old stomping grounds from my childhood 25+ years ago. We enjoy cooking in and G708 was a well equiped unit. Never did get any of the movies from the front desk as we had our own games & had family time. Only complaint would be that when I called that hot tub was not hot & jets not running as it was the preious 3 nights, front desk said that they would get someone there right away to fix it and that didn't happen.

This place is great! the kitchen was stocked with dishes, the pool house was empty most of the time, and we loved taking walks on the beach, which was very close to the hotel. We had a great stay here. It's a good value, and this was our second time at Gearhart. I hope to come in summer 2011!

It has been awhile ago since we came down to the beach, so I am not sure of the timeframe... But I know it was during some good clamming tides! This is a great place to stay if you are clamming!

We have stayed at Geheart By The Sea many many years
back, and had stayed there numerous times. This time was a disappointment. The bathroom had not been cleaned, the dining furniture was in disrepair, and while the unit was comfortable, the decor was 20 years plus dated. The service to clean the bathroom took a long time. The staff at the desk, upon arrival ignored us for a full 5 minutes before acknowledging us.
The pools were maintained and enjoyable. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen stocked with equiptment.
Overall, I was very disappointed with the service, and maintainance of the unit. I gave it another chance but we won't return.
