We enjoyed our weekend stay here at this unit. The rental was clean, and spacious, with close proximity to the beach. We used to stay in another unit, which had a progressively terribly smelling sofa and bedroom bed. The owner of that unit brought his dog, and it just made us want to gag. Gearhart by the Sea told us that if they received a certain amount of complaints, the unit owner was required to eliminate the problem. When we inquired about whether they had received any complaints at all, they told us no one had complained about the smell, they hadn't even recorded our complaint. So Gearhart by the Sea needs to be better at customer relations and taking in and recording feedback. The only reason I'm leaving this review (at their request).
So there is a particular unit in this establishment that I would warn everyone away from, and we will certainly never return to. But the other unit we last stayed in was really great, and would love to rent it again. -

Portland, ORView, walk to beach or golf, spacious…what's not to like?

Nice upgrades in the kitchen/ great room and a view of the sunset. 1 block walk to the beach and 2 block walk to 18 holes of golf or dinner. We enjoyed a much-needed quiet and relaxing time after the frantic schedule of summer. Only drawback... the baths could use more upgrading and you have a flight of steps. But this was not a problem for us. Thanks!
