3 bedroom apartment situated in a quiet location with stunning views overlooking Genoa's working port, the ferry terminal and Genoa's landmark lighthouse. There are 3 double bedrooms, 2 with queen beds and one with a full size bunk bed and sofa bed. There is also an additional sofa bed in the lounge area. There are marble floors throughout, 2 bathrooms, a full size kitchen and an open plan lounge/dining room with modern furniture, satellite TV and wi-fi internet facillities. The apartment is in a quiet area of the city, yet only 5 minutes walk from the main railway station (Principe), where the airport bus also stops. Another 10 minutes and you are in the old medieval city (the largest remaing one in Eurpoe) or in the redeveloped old port area which is now a recreational area for adults and children alike. Genoa is a city of culture and there are many hidden gems in the way of architecture, churches, museums and paintings which belie its somewhat grimy exterior. There is an opera house and many fine restaurants in the city as well.
Cheap local train fares makes Genoa an ideal jumping off spot for exploring the Italian Riviera, to the many picturesque and smart resorts that litter the coast both to the West and to the East of Genoa. Inland, it is just and hour and a half by train to Asti where you can pick up various wine trails to discover some of Italy's finest.
