      This villa was perfect!

Left on 04/07/2013 for a stay in March 2013

This Exuma vacation rental was wonderful. Location right on the beach was amazing. It was well furnished and included many thoughtful "extras" ie., snorkling gear, beach chairs, coolers, hats- pretty much everything you need ( even washer and dryer)
Close to town but away from bustle. Definitely making return plans.
Kathy (owner) was so helpful and kind- perfect vacation!!!

      A Gloriously Relaxing Holiday!
Villa 30, Palm Bay Beach Club, Georgetown, Great Exuma, Bahamas (278527) -
Date of Stay March 9, 2013
Helpful votes:0/0. Our 2 week vacation in Exuma was gloriously relaxing. The cays are beautiful in themselves but to have the white powdery sand and incredible warm turquiose water only a few steps away from our patio was truly amazing! Our villa at Palm Bay was our "home away from home". Even though our hosts, Kathy and Fred were not there, we felt their welcome the moment we stepped through the door. They have made it their quest to make sure their guests are happy and comfortable. The villa is nicely appointed and well-equipped and so user-friendly - even down to the beach toys, photo albums, reading materials and tips on where to go and what to eat! It was all there to make our hiatus away from the chaos of that other world, extra special. There is so much to make us want to return and...We will!

      Simply breath taking!

Left on 02/24/2013 for a stay in February 2013

Our stay in the Bahama's was everything it was billed to be & more. Views that simply take your breath away, relaxation, peace & tranquility are no problem here. Excitement & adventure are just a short jaunt away however, depending on what you are looking for. Our stay in the Villa was very comfortable, with everything we needed to enjoy the adventures of the day. The beaches are magnificent & never too crowded. Getting out to other area of the Islands, meeting the local people & enjoying the Bahamian culture made it that much more enjoyable. In our drives to other areas, we came to really appreciate this hidden Gem at Palm Bay. Truly one of the nicest areas on the Island. We will be back!!

      Our Own Private Resort

Left on 02/14/2013 for a stay in January 2013

My wife and I had our honeymoon at Villa #30 of the Palm Bay Beach Club. I was hoping to enjoy the amenities of a resort without the crowds that are sometimes associated with the high rises. We couldn't have been more pleased with our selection.

We found the resort to be extremely quiet and relaxing. Despite the nearness of others, we enjoyed great privacy at the resort and on other nearby beaches.

To explore Elizabeth Harbor, we rented a 17' Boston Whaler from Minns in George Town. I don't think we could have had more fun doing so. The resort allowed us to moor overnight for a nominal fee, and the rental afforded the freedom to visit some of the better restaurants we came across.

The only difficulty we had initially was tracking down food that we enjoyed, but once we had the boat, we went to Big Dee's and St. Francis Marina and Resort on Stocking Island. After that, we looked no further.

All in all, our experience was excellent. Our international travel experience is limited, but we found no surprises in our visit. Kathy provided us with volumes of information prior to our visit, and she clearly bent over backwards to make sure that everything was prepared prior to our arrival. At this point, our only problem is trying to find time to get back down.

      Most amazing vacation ever!

Left on 03/06/2012 for a stay in February 2012

Palm Bay Beach Club is in the perfect location. Villa #30 is directly in front of the beautiful water. Very short walk to Jolly beach which was gorgeous ~ white sand beach, sparkling blue water. We rented a boat from Minns Water Sports which I highly recommend, it allowed us to see all the Cays on our own, snorkel on our own and make many stops at Chat N Chill (cash only). While on our boat we had dolphins swim right next to us, and stingray on a few beaches. At the beach in front of the Villa were sea turtles and one day, a shark. Yes, a shark! Sand shark ~ harmless and it was very cool to watch swim around! I was told by the locals it was only the 2nd time in 7yrs he had seen a shark in the harbor, so I feel lucky to have seen it! The free shuttle made going to the grocery store and liquor store easy, we were able to cook in several nights and pack a cooler for the boat. Catch a Fire grill was amazing!! (cash only) Right next to Palm Bay is the augusta restaurant which we had breakfast and luch and it was very good and the view is beautiful. The taxis are very expensive, which we used twice since we did not rent a car. The villa was clean and had all amentities, the washer/dryer were very useful !! We watched the sunrise over the water every morning right from bed! ~ my only suggestion would be a blender, to make some fruity drinks!! That would have been nice to have. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and we quickly made friends with the other couples staying in the neighboring villas. I was amazed at how quiet it was and how every beach we pulled our boat up to, we were the only ones on the beach! I love this place and cannot wait to go back next year!!

Left on 02/13/2012 for a stay in January 2012

My husband & I had the most fabulous time in Exuma and the villa was perfect for our needs! It was so perfect that we went out to eat only once during our stay and left the villa only one other time to explore Stocking Island. Otherwise, we spent all of our time right outside our door...reading, sleeping, reading, ...and sleeping some more on the beach. Of course we had the choice of venturing out to do some exploring or dining out but we chose to rent a bbq & ate most of our meals in. No dressing up or looking at the clock to see if it was dinner time.

We ate our meals right outside our door where the only sounds we heard were the waves rolling up onto the beach. We brought 2 champagne glasses with us and left them at the villa. It is just our small contribution and we're hoping to use them again on our next trip! We really appreciated the well stocked kitchen & toiletries that were available. Kathy thought of everything ...she stocked us with basic essentials milk, water, yogurt, bread, etc. It was a relief to see since we didn't get to the villa until late evening on Sunday and we didn't have a car!

Kathy, you are so fortunate to have the perfect vacation place to go to and I envy you! Thank you again!

The only regret is that we weren't able to get a fabulous Corona-like photo similar to the one posted above!

      The Perfect Vacation

It was hard to leave the Island and head back to snow. The Villa worked out great for us and we explored every inch of the island. The neighbors, Rob, Val and Linda, were so nice and helpful, showing us around to various beaches and cooking dinners. All the information you provided was useful in guiding us to all the adventures we were looking for. We kayaked most everyday to Stocking Island and found some great snorkeling caves. We look forward to returning in the future.

Wow, loved it, can't wait to get back.

Left on 10/07/2011 for a stay in July 2011

Wow, our stay at villa 30 was more than we expected. My wife and 12 year old son and 9 year old daughter visited in mid July/11 for two weeks. The villa was very comfortable and Kathy provided for all our needs. Her advice on tours and things to see was excellent. We had never snorkeled before but this is a must do. We explored the rock outcrops right in front of the villa everyday and each time was different, fabulous entertainment for no cost, amazing fun in very warm water only a 2 or 3 feet deep. Take the snorkle gear to Jolly Hall Beach, an 8 minute beach stroll away. This beach is like the Corona comercail, we were amazed how quiet the beach was, on the busiest day we saw maybe15 people on a beach that could hold a thousand or more. Stocking island is a short water taxi ride away to the Chat and Chill, stingrays, yahts, incredible beach, people watching and the chill was great. A short walk to the atlantic side is a must, plan for several hours on this side to explore and body surf. The locals are very friendly and helpful. The shuttle to Georgetown every 2 hours, very convenient. Lobster lunch at Santana's and a swim at that beach, pick up lobster tails from the blue hous across the street and BBQ a feast back at the villa. Rent a car acroos the street from the villa and see the island in a day. Rent a boat and see all the amazing and deserted beaches. The water is warm as a bath. Overall the most relaxing vacation ever, can't wait to get back. Highly recommend this gem of an island, unspoiled by heavy tourism. Our last night was end of Junkanoo, what a blast! Kathy is wonderful to deal with.

      Amazing...Again!

Left on 08/09/2011 for a stay in June 2011

This is our second trip to Exuma and our second time staying in this villa. The second trip was just as memorable, relaxing, comfortable and perfect as the first. Kathy is very helpful when deciding what to do while in Exuma. She is very knowledgeable and very willing to share her experiences. She is very easy to work with!

The villa is exactly as represented in the photos. The view from the villa is amazing. The villa is equipped with just about anything you would need. We cooked in most nights and all cooking supplies were available within the villa. The villa is very clean and well taken care of. We spent a lot of time at Jolly Hall beach, which is just a short walk. One day, there was 5 other people at Jolly Hall and that was busy! Amazing water, amazing sand and amazing memories!

The restaurant at Palm Bay (Splash) is a nice place to eat or order take out. Other amenities at Palm Bay were great also. The shuttle from Palm Bay is a great way to get into town. This year, we never rented a car. We traveled by boat (from Minn's), taxi (Leroy was great and inexpensive), or Palm Bay Shuttle.

This villa is a perfect fit if you want to get away and relax, rent a boat, snorkel and visit other beaches, sit in the sand or enjoy the spectacular water of Jolly Hall Beach. I would recommend Exuma to anyone and we can't wait to return to this villa!

      Amazing!

Hi Kathy, We are home from our incredible trip to Exuma. It was perfect!!! Your place was wonderful- we loved it and absolutely everything about the> island. Everything was just as we remembered it from the friendly Bahamians to the crystal turquoise water- it was paradise. The days went by in a blink and before we knew it we were packing up to go home. Highlights included a school bus trip led by "Bahama Obama" to Little Exuma, Tropic of Cancer beach and Santana's for lunch. We also did the Exuma Cay Tour (swimming pigs, iguana island, etc.) with Peter Burrows who remembered my grandparents well which was neat. I could go on and on, but don't want to bore you with details of how wonderful it is- you already know that! We had 26 people in our group and most were first timers- everybody agreed it was the most beautiful place they have ever been and many of them have seen a lot of beauty in their lives. Plans for our return trip started with "we have to come back here in 5 years" to "maybe we'll need to come back next summer". Thanks for all of your help and for allowing us to rent your place- it was a perfect spot for us. I'm so jealous that you get to go so often but feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to vist. Thanks again, Cari Benkovich

This property makes it very difficult to ever go anywhere else.

Left on 04/09/2011 for a stay in March 2011

Our stay at Villa #30 in Palm Bay was by far the best rental we have ever had. The condo was immaculate, roomy, bright, and right on the water. We don't spend alot of time indoors, but it's nice to come "home" to a comfortable place after a hard day of beaching and boating! All the extra's that owners supplied made our trip even more enjoyable. There were towels, kitchen supplies and condiments and paper supplies, washer & dryer, a beach bag, coolers, beach toys...(all the stuff we have been packing for years). We restocked so the next guests could share the same privelges, it was certainly a treat. I would highly reccomend this property and a special thank you to the owners, who we have never met, but have done so much to make sure we had a great vacation.

Our trip was wonderful! What a beautiful, beautiful set of islands. I had no idea the Bahamas had so much to offer. The water, the people, everything was just awesome. No problems with the resort or the villa at all. Your place was exceptionally neat, clean, and comfortable. We could have stayed at your place for the entire week. We rented a car and rode down to Little Exuma - had grouper and lobster at Santana's and then went to the Tropic of Cancer Beach. We also tried Catch a Fire Grill and you were absolutely correct about that - what a great place! Our last night on the boat we went again and took our hosts as a thank you for the week. We would have missed so much if we had not received your suggestions - Thanks so much for that. We also went to Staniel Cay and snorkled Thunder Grotto. We also looked for the pigs in hopes of a swim, but unfortunately they never came out of their hiding place. Oh and I can't forget our Sunday trip to Chat N Chill. I had several Goombay Smashes - what a fun place! This was truly a terrific trip for us and we will recommend your place and the Exumas to our friends. Plus we want to come back!

Left on 12/22/2010 for a stay in November 2010

My sister and I went to Exuma this November. The view was amazing and the accomodations were perfect. With so many amazing beaches close by you would expect them to be busy! This island is like a small town and you always feel welcome. The locals and staff are more than willing to help and anytihng you need is easy to find.

We spent some time at Jolly Holl beach, went over to the chat n chill on stocking island and even took a snorkelling tour with Gully and Shan who own Rolle`s Kayaking. You can watch tv and have a bite in Splash (the resort restaraunt), walk to fish fry or buy groceries and make your own meals.

I highly recommend this spot for any kind of vacation! It was very relaxing!

We had a fantastic holiday and would definitely recommend it to others who want a quiet, relaxing time. This was the perfect spot for our week in Exuma. A 2 minute drive (or 20 minute walk) from town and the ferry for the water shuttle over to Stalking Island. The unit was clean, quiet, the kitchen was well equiped, and the view out the front door is amazing. You are literally right on the ocean. There's a beach a 5 minute walk away that we went to a few days that was incredible. Few people there, and protected from the wind. The snorkling right out front was suprisingly good. The staff were pleasent, and the food good as well. Be sure to check our the Fish Fry between Palm Bay and George Town. There are some real local delicacies there. Over all, I will definitly be staying there again when we go down next year.
