      Everything you need

Left on 06/26/2012 for a stay in May 2012

We had everything we needed and more.

      Peace...quiet...panoramic views...privacy...convenience...comfort...well-stocked kitchen...beautiful grounds...great owners.

Villa Enchanted is a great place to stay. We rented directly from the owner, Cherie Saleeby, and she was so nice and so helpful in making sure we had a great vacation. The house is every bit as nice as the photos show but, what you don't see, is that Cherie has taken care of a lot of the details that are so hard to have when you are away from home. The kitchen has every plate, bowl, drinking glass, wine glass, martini glass, flatware, kitchen knife, pot, pan, spice and many other things that you need. Also, while it was probably left over from previous renters, there was even coffee, creamer, sugar and tollhouse cookies in the freezer.

We rented a boat from Minn's for the entire time we were there. If we were to do it over again, we would stay out on the water until dark each night and then cook at the villa instead of going out to eat. While we enjoyed a few of the local restaurants, we had our fill of peas and rice. A filet or burger on the grill with a baked potato would have been just fine. Throw a frozen tenderloin or two in your checked bag and it will likely still be frozen by the time you get to the villa.

While two other families staying at February Point at the same time we were there were having problems with plumbing and air conditioning, everything in Villa Enchanted worked like a charm. Hot water was always available, the air conditioning was always cold and everything else worked great. The only problem was static on the telephone line -- not a big deal -- and the government turning off the water in town a for a couple of hours to work on the water system.

Finally, the house sits on a high point and there are no other houses close enough to block your view of Elizabeth Harbor on three sides, and it is spectacular.

      Wish we were there now!

      Just Gorgeous!

Left on 02/06/2012 for a stay in January 2012

We stayed at Villa Enchanted, February Point Resort for 7 days and 6 nights and loved Exuma. The villa was absolutely perfect and we loved the views. There was so much space for all of us to enjoy the villa and have lots of privacy. The private pool on site was small but did the job for our 2 kids and allowed us to relax in privacy. The resort communal pool was located only a short 5 min walk away and the ocean was 2 min away! It was breathtaking!!!
We played tennis daily and the courts were great, about a 10 min walk from the villa.

Travelling in January meant that there were very few other tourists. Out of the 5 days we spent at the resort beach front we were the only ones there. Once on the last day another couple joined as just as we were leaving. It was great! I assume it would be busier during February or March, Christmas Break.

The ocean was the clearest, bluest, most turquoise water I have ever seen. It is gorgeous. We chartered a boat for 2 days and visited a few local sites, star fish beach, turtle beach, stingray cay, stocking island, chat and chill and some snorkel sites. We even had a pod of dolphins join us for a while! The boat ride was fine with our children aged 3 and 7. The water was a little chilly and the air was kind of cool, but still much warmer than Toronto! Mid-20's all week.

Problems, the phone line at the villa wasn't working well. There was a buzz on the line which made it difficult to hear...which meant we had a hard time booking a taxi when we needed to go to town on a few occasions. We had to wait upon arrival for more than 24 hours before we managed to get a ride to town to get food. This was very unpleasant since we had small children with us and we were very hungry for the first day. But after that shopping was fine, but don't expect to get all you need from the grocery store. Food is limited and so is selection since everything is imported.

Otherwise perfect, we would love to go back but likely not to February Point unless we are able to buy another Living Deal. The price is very expensive about $1000 a night but with our deal we picked it up for about $300 split among family made it an awesome deal! 4 adults and 2 child and an infant comfortably fit in the villa. Could accommodate 1-2 more. adults.
